Joshua 5:9a, 10-12 ~ The Lord said

Joshua 5:9a, 10-12

The LORD said to Joshua,
“Today I have removed the reproach of Egypt from you.”

While the Israelites were encamped at Gilgal
on the plains of Jericho

They celebrated the Passover
on the evening of the fourteenth of the month.

On the day after the Passover,
they ate of the produce of the land

In the form of unleavened cakes and parched grain.

On that same day after the Passover,
on which they ate of the produce of the land, the manna ceased.
No longer was there manna for the Israelites,
who that year ate of the yield of the land of Canaan.

If we considered all the potential Children of God as Believers

We should see a St. Augustine.

His mother told the party-goer, prostitute-loving, a good evening of wine, “I cannot go to Heaven without you. It would not be Heaven without the unique person you are. You must find Jesus loves you and know His Love.”

The closest we can come to telling someone how loved they are in Jesus Christ and His Father to tell them of their virtues, their compassion, their tender moments. Their heart-felt desires of Life. The Light they bring to Life.

The Magnificent Forgiveness exists because

we Love and Trust this person to display their goodness.

We believe with them, they are worthy in God's eyes. We believe they should Love our Jesus because our Jesus assures us He lives in their lives now - merely unknown.

This is the depth of Love and Forgiveness we need to have seen of Jesus in our characteristics and see Him in others. Not limiting real relationship and real opinion, and not assuming there is one opinion. Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Why? Because not all can understand a Father's Love. A Son who seeks all His Ministry to find the lost lamb we all have in us. The Holy Spirit who has wanted to live closer - an essence of God - a mystery - a desire of God - some need the glimmer of God to understand first the Presence of our Father God Almighty. Even Father God says between Timothy and Paul Letters that faith is a mystery. We don't have to understand all the Holy Spirit to allow others to look and find the Beauty and Mystery of God and His Presence in our lives.

We feel we have suffered and Jesus walked on by. Suffering. Why isn't the world perfect.  The earth is the Lord's and the fulfillment thereof.  Redemption. The sincere way to pray. God does not need fake prayer.  We don't have to shine up. God sees the heart.

We know in the early Church some ran far to bring the Gospel further, but bravely they went with the Word of God, knowing this would be a danger for being killed. We know some stayed and died bravely. Both of these were led by God and brave. We can keep expressing our choices, Honoring Jesus, not accepting that Christians who are too forward - and would put off the hope of God for others. We have no need of, "Oh. Look at least one of the Christians looks vaguely Christian." Why? Because being a Christian today requires courage. The screaming zealot - is almost a myth.

When we shake out this all out to the basics, it's like giving seeds Light.

Our Jesus, like our David, would Dance in the Vineyard. With Joy.

Our Father, Abba,

We cover in and all our needs with an urgent plea for “Jesus.”

And Your Words to us.

Our Father, Who is in Heaven,
Holy is Your Name
Your Kingdom comes
We want Your will to be done
on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day,
our Daily Living Bread.

Forgive us our sin,
as we forgive those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation.
Deliver us from evil.

As John saw,
For thine is the Kingdom,
thine is the Power,
thine is the Glory.

Forever and ever.
In Jesus' Name, we pray.
Amen.

Believing Jesus.

Amen

Psalm 101 ~ I will make music

A longtime ago friend,
Margaret Harris
who told me about the Beauty of St Patrick's Cathedral
in Harrisburg

Has gone Triumphant into God's Kingdom

Margaret's husband, Bill,
was our Episcopal Priest in Pennsylvania.
What a beautiful soul.

God Love You!

Psalm 101

A Psalm of David.

I will sing of steadfast love and justice;
to you, O Lord, I will make music.

2 I will ponder the way that is blameless.
Oh when will You come to me?
I will walk with integrity of heart
    within my house;
3 I will not set before my eyes
    anything that is worthless.

I hate the work of those who fall away;
it shall not cling to me.
4 A perverse heart shall be far from me;
I will know nothing of evil.

5 Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly
    I will destroy.
Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart
    I will not endure.

6 I will look with favor on the faithful in the land,
that they may dwell with me
he who walks in the way that is blameless
    shall minister to me.

7 No one who practices deceit
    shall dwell in my house;
no one who utters lies
    shall continue before my eyes.

8 Morning by morning I will destroy
all the wicked in the land,
cutting off all the evildoers
from the city of the Lord.

Margaret's Husband was more than ten years older than Margaret. Bill lived well past the age of 95. And the Church certainly benefitted from their love and service for over 6 decades.

There is peace to know they are alive and well in the Kingdom of God.  And one fine day, we will sing to the Lord again. We were fortunate to have them for Thanksgiving 10 years ago. Father Bill had recovered from heart failure at age 92.  A Celebration!

God is good in all of our years. To open our eyes to His Plan and Blessings.

More picnics, more flower picking and arranging. Maybe County Fair flower entries. Many beautiful skies. Seeing the Elk. Trips near and far. A life well lived, yesterday, today and tomorrow.

My mother, Margaret and I got to hold a baby black bear
cub
during Bear Rescue.

Cameron County, PA is Black Bear Relocation.

In Cameron County, Pennsylvania, black bear relocation is typically handled by trained professionals, and it's generally not permitted for the public to trap and relocate bears themselves.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Professional Expertise Required:
Relocating bears is a complex and potentially dangerous process that requires specialized knowledge and equipment.
  • Contact Local Wildlife Authorities:
If you have concerns about aggressive or problematic bears, contact your local wildlife department or the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
  • Reporting Bear Encounters:
Report any bear injuries to humans, pets, or livestock to the appropriate authorities.
  • Relocation Distance:
Bears are usually relocated 50-100 miles from the capture site to try to prevent their return.
  • The Pennsylvania Game Commission is the agency responsible for managing wildlife in the state, including black bears.
  • Bear Population Growth:
Black bear populations have increased significantly in Pennsylvania, providing more opportunities for people to see bears, but also increasing the potential for human-bear interactions.
  • Bear Habitat:
Black bears prefer large forests with a variety of food sources like fruits and nuts.
  • Hibernation:
Black bears hibernate during the winter months, often in hollow trees or excavations resembling groundhog holes.

Margaret made
more Wedding Dresses
than any person, I have ever known.

Bill married them.

Margaret and her son
bought an 1860 black iron, gas stove from the
Emporium Hardware store for some
incredibly low sum. A deal!
But they had to move it down 3 flights of stairs.

They had no problem making sure this beauty
was completely operational.

I found a copy, in 7th grade,
and put it in my doll's house.

Margaret, Bill and Bobby
found a farm and restored, burnished and beautified the farmhouse
to 360' views of the Gigantic Maple trees
like the photo
and the Creek my sons loved.

Joe Fragale, local neighbor and saint,
cleaned the months of snow
from their drive. All 600 feet of driveway.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you

My Peace I give to you.
Not as the world gives do I give to you.

Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Let the Light
of Jesus Christ
shine more brightly.
The Love.
The Light.
The Peace.
For
ALL.

And in Jesus
This Hope.
Faith and Love
- we will rise up
Believing Jesus.

Amen

About scripture-for-today.blogspot.com/

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
