This is the Easter Season and we are close to the Temple Curtain
Exodus 26:31
And you shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet yarns
and fine twined linen.
It shall be made with cherubim
skillfully worked into it.

Behind the second curtain was a second section
called the Most Holy Place
Exodus 25:17-22
“You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. Of one piece with the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends. The cherubim shall spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another;
toward the mercy seat
shall the faces of the cherubim be.
And you shall put the mercy seat on the top of the ark,
and in the ark you shall put the testimony that
I shall give you.
The Ark of the Covenant is used for what? The Ark is indeed a Chest This ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded from an Almond Tree after it was a staff of wood, and the stone tablets. The Ark's primary use was a seat for the Lord God Almighty. The Ark of the Covenant is called the Mercy Seat.
Josephus reported the barred, bolted, locked gate
outside the Court of the Women opened with God's Hand
during the invasion of Nebuchadnezzar and during Titus in 70 A.D.
Then Josephus goes on to report that both times the Cherubim miraculously were turned away from the seat - both times the Holy of Holy had Cherubim carved into the walls.

Isaiah 6

Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one called to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Hosts;
the whole earth
is full of His Glory!”
4 And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.”
One of my mother's favorite prayers was of Jesus Himself. Jesus with His Mercy.
Matthew 23:37
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her, how often I have longed to gather your children together,
as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings,
but you were unwilling!
Today, instead, let's think of God's Wings and His Willingness.
The Lord mentions His feathers.
Above Him stood the seraphim.
Each had six wings
The Lord does not say, oh, My Feathers in the seat over there.
The Lord does not say, oh, My Feathers over in the 3rd level of Heaven.
The Lord does not say, oh My Feathers, in that excellent Chapter
in 2nd Corinthians in that verse, where it is written, in one
of the 73 Books of the Bible. Every Word is Good.
The Lord does not say,
in the New Jerusalem.
Instead, the Lord mentions Feathers
right with Him forever
in The Mercy Seat of His Throne.
He says

always
Sing Holy Holy to Him.
This is where the Lord
is placing us
to
Rest
in cover of His Shelter
He will cover you with His Feathers,
and under His Wings you will find refuge;
His Faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You are Under His Wings
His Wings are above Him
You are with The Lord God Almighty
