Psalm 78:65-72
65 Then the Lord awoke as from sleep,
like a strong man shouting because of wine.
66 And he put his adversaries to rout;
he put them to everlasting shame.
67 He rejected the tent of Joseph;
he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim,
68 but he chose the tribe of Judah,
Mount Zion, which he loves.
69 He built his sanctuary like the high heavens,
like the earth, which he has founded forever.
70 He chose David his servant
and took him from the sheepfolds;
71 from following the nursing ewes he brought him
to shepherd Jacob his people,
Israel his inheritance.
72 With upright heart he shepherded them
and guided them with his skillful hand.
We love the tender Love Father God has. And as Abba put Jesus on earth, tenderly He chose Shepherds. And Shepherds came to comfort Mary and help Joseph. David could have had any occupation and Father God wanted David to know how to care and look over His Beloved People.
We find David was following the youngest of the sheep as He was called.
And I want to tell you from being a walker in the Texas A & M sheep fields - nothing on this earth is more friendly, appealing, loving and adorable than a flock of little lambs running to see the new person.
And if this is the picture God wanted us to have of David and His Job anointing. We should never forget.
Jesus wanting to hold all of His Beloved, Delighting in us - Love
Abba,
We know the Father's Love for us in Jesus.
Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
"The Kingdom of God belongs to these."
Taking a child, He set him before them, and taking him in His arms, He said to them, "Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me."
The Lord Father God bless us all and dwell within us. Blessing those we love and pray for. Amen in Jesus.
