Acts 1:1-14
1 In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2 until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.
3 He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.
4 And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, "you heard from me; 5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."
6 So when they had come together, they asked him, "Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?"
7 He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven."
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away.
13 And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. 14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.

Jesus' statue in the Garden of Gethsemane, Mount of Olives
Many times we see in Scripture, Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. And here we learn this was within eyesight of Jerusalem, due to the 7 hills, and, yet, has significant travel time. Most of the Bible has undertakings and process. With a precise view as to the Direction of God's Plan.
Acts 1 is a wonderful prayer of God. Mary saw her family scattered during Jesus' ministry. We don't know events occurred before His Ministry. The adult Jesus chose Capernaum and visited Nazareth with His Disciples and Family during the wedding of Canna.
Acts 1 has the glories and pressures of the these Spirit led days of Jesus - reuniting all of the Beloved of Jesus. A Pinnacle of God's Glory. During this Life - the Risen, Victorious Jesus - God of Love, Hope and Encouragement - God places all of His Beloved back together on the Plan of God on His Path. A prayer of family.
This is a good place to hold on in Scripture. A good place to remind the Living Almighty God of His Fatherhood and love for our family. Our Father Loves us and His Living Word. Prayed - in conversation - His favorite.
Abba,
We read with Your Holy Spirit, Your Living Word. You are One. Our Mighty God.
For by grace you have been saved through faith.
And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
For Jesus Himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in His Flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, Jesus might create in Himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. And Jesus came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.
For through Jesus we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then we are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In Jesus, you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.
We open our hearts and hands to You, Abba. Putting our cares in Your Good Will. Seeing expectation, hope and Joy. Believing in Your Good Plan and Path for those we Love. Covering this place, this Nation and all believers with Your Love and Grace.
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of His glory Jesus may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being,
Jesus Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith--that we,
being rooted and grounded in love,
may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge,
that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Jesus who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
In Jesus, Amen.
