What a Way to Enter Lent and Prepare for Jesus! Dinner with Jesus or Dinner and Faith!
If you received a Letter, A Word from God, written personally to you, what would that look like???
And if it were up to you, what type of stamp would you have on the envelope? Jesus would see what stamp you were putting on His envelope.
Would this be ... Hope, Heart, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, SOS, ?, Memory of His Goodness, Scripture, a Photo of someone you pray for - is this someone you Love, Family, needs His Help. Would it be a country, county or a town? Would this be Health for China and Korea? Would this be prayers for all our Churches? Would this be Remorse. Would this say Strength, Health. Baptism for Grandchildren.
The Stamps would be far more interesting!
The Letter wouldn't have Headings. It probably wouldn't have footnotes. However, you might create questions and memories and connect to other Scripture (Word of God Active and Living to you) as you worked out all the insights. This is, of course, Father God writing you and your Loved ones for this - give us this day. Jesus, our God's exact nature - Jesus is our Daily Living Bread and wants to reach the ones you Love and be a Blessing to you All. Families live in Heaven. God says so!
Ephesians 1
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,To the saints
who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.
In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
As we get ready, get ready, get ready and prepare and determine what we will Knock and Ask, Seek and Find for this 2020 Lent, Year of our Lord ...aren't you a little bit of Awe and Wonder!
Jesus would not let Disciples tell you not to fuss Jesus.
Jesus welcomes His Child. Even the Child with merely one year or mere months, or four decades or five or eight or nine decades of Life. As a Child of God, our Lord and Savior will not make age an issue of this Lenten Season. Our Mighty God calling the Heavenly Hosts by Name, The Great I am is not going to exploit, for political purposes, anyone's youth and inexperience.
The Love and Hope. Faith!!!
Matthew 18:2-4
And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them 3 and said,
“Truly, I say to you,
unless you turn and become like children,
you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
O come, let us sing unto the LORD:
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving,
and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise,
and rejoice, and sing praise!
Psalm 95
Miraculously, Our God. Fully Willing to Proclaim His Pleasure.
And Remind us of the Very Goodness of His Plan, His Power and His Kingdom !
Thine is the Kingdom, Thine is the Power, Thine is the Glory. Jesus Christ, Son of God.
Zechariah 8:3-13
Thus says the Lord: I have returned to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, and Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts, the holy mountain.
Thus says the Lord of hosts: Old men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand because of great age. And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.
Thus says the Lord of hosts: If it is marvelous in the sight of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my sight, declares the Lord of hosts?
Thus says the Lord of hosts: Behold, I will save my people from the east country and from the west country, and I will bring them to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in faithfulness and in righteousness.”
Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Let your hands be strong, you who in these days have been hearing these words from the mouth of the prophets who were present on the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. For before those days there was no wage for man or any wage for beast, neither was there any safety from the foe for him who went out or came in, for I set every man against his neighbor.
But now I will not deal with the remnant of this people as in the former days, declares the Lord of hosts. For there shall be a sowing of peace. The vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its produce, and the heavens shall give their dew. And I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. And as you have been a byword of cursing among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing.
Fear not, but let your hands be strong.”
Fear not, but let your hands be strong.”
And our God has Boldly and With Confidence told us how to impudently Pray, even to the 12th hour. To Find His Blessing and Favor. Jesus, the exact nature of God, has told us how to greet our Father, even the Prodigal find a place before His Father.
Matthew 25:14-30
14 “For it will be like a man going on a journey,
who called his servants
and entrusted to them his property.
15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.
16 He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them,
and he made five talents more.
17 So also he who had the two talents made two talents more.
18 But he who had received the one talent went
and dug in the ground
and hid his master's money.
19 Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
20 And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me five talents; here, I have made five talents more.’
21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.
You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much.
Enter into the joy of your master.’
22 And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me two talents; here, I have made two talents more.’
23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
24 He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, 25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here, you have what is yours.’
Jesus' Father did not reward the servant who found God harsh and selfish.
For the Faithful, we know what Zechariah has seen.
Abba,
We are Christ's letter, delivered by us, not written with ink but with the Spirit of the living God--not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
Let your heart be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen — practice these things, and the God of peace will be with us all.
We are praying Jesus' own mercy to surround and help and encourage His Beloved. David knew to look again to see the Mercy of our Father God.
We pray Your Help for the Beloved of Jesus to live seeking You first and find we have encouraged and built up Lives pleasing and acceptable to Your Heart, Father. Lives of Love, Peace and Joy. Nothing is too hard for You, our Rock and Redeemer.
We rejoiced greatly finding Your children walking in the truth, just as we long to do. Please Bless our Nation Trusting in You. We pray the Tender Mercy of God on all nations and on those suffering illness and fear. Speak Your Healing Word. Lord Jesus. Yours is the Kingdom, Power and Glory.
Thank You for Elliott's miracle. Thank You Dee is feeling better after a rough year. Our Jesus, Praying over illness and discouragement for those in anxiety. Knowing You will Help.
Help us to know Your Peace each day. Our family has had a very challenging year and we ask Jesus Love to settle us back in His Peace. The Blessing of Jesus prevails. Our refuge and Glory in Jesus.
Jesus is Lord as we Prepare for Lent and Easter. Amen.
