Acts 1:21-26

21 So one of the men who have accompanied us during all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us—one of these men must become with us a witness to his resurrection.”

23 And they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias. 24 And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen 25 to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.” 

26 And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Consider the Position of God in this sad and anxiety laden year of 2020.

Father God is the Bereaved. His Only Son died at the hands of His Beloved, God knows the hearts of all, Mankind. And in the very next Chapter, Acts 1, God our Father, Who fully knows the Sorrow of Good Friday, says, "Forward." This paragraph is about Going forward.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.

And God would want us to have Comfort.
Comforter. Hely Spirit. The Whole Book of Acts is the miracle of Going Forward from something John would remark upon all his days. The Beloved Disciple would always, always remember Good Friday and the darkness. Yet John, in the Power of the Holy Spirit, said the Light triumphs.

And is this Comfort here is some good news:
We have all had fears what would happen when the flu season hits Covid. The Southern Hemisphere, according to The Economist, all this masking, quarantine, and hand washing is beating back the Flu.

Thank God for all the Good News He would Comfort us with!

Abba, the Gospels begin with a wilderness being tamed.
The work of mankind it to believe the One You have sent.

Through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.  Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection.

We Live in You, Abba. Abundantly. Growing in faith, hope and Love.
Love makes the Light shine out of darkness.

The Year 2020 will show us Light from the darkness.
 Hearts will be revealed, broken, heal and rise again.
We will find endurance.
We will run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
We can do all this through Him who gives us strength.

We seek to find Heaven on earth. And in saying this we ask to know our Prayers are Heard.
We will find the answers You want us to have.

We ask in the Name of Jesus to have our divisions heal.
To find the framework of Love and family holds firm.
To be loved and treasured by God and find family loving us as we are.

Knowing the great heart of this Nation and the world
Wants to find this Light shines in all of us.

Bless those working to put the framework right.
All the Promises of God arrive near the Law,
We need the framework of God to establish Peace.

Thank You for the new Middle East peace occurring again,
Half a lifetime, again.

Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority,
because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account.
Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.

May Father God bless us all in Jesus.
