Let us be Light bringers. Let our light shine in the Brilliance of God's Light and Rising Glory.
Psalms 18:28
Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you got
Taking a break from all your worries
It sure would help a lot
Wouldn't you like to get away?
Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
Give us this day
our daily bread
This was a prior Post speaking about bringing Light. We had a lot of readers on this one.
The old Post has photos of the amazing growth of our first year peach trees and the bountiful harvest of Peaches. The first year the astonishing growing 3 little trees started about 2 1/2" tall and grew to 5". Our plentiful peaches were a wonder to a fellow gardener, he rushed out and bought the very same little peach trees. He was so disappointed he didn't get peaches that year. We sat at the kitchen table for two days and made great peach desserts after pealing and pitting and putting preparations with pudding in Splenda. It was Mother's Day and my mom was here, with her caregiver Edith.
We absolutely adored pealing and visiting at the table.
This photo isn't ours, but we were given this exact same tea service from Beloved Family
and works well because we are discussing Life.
Year 3, another Bumper Crop
Mother's Day Huge Hit. Then next week I went out and bit into a peach, to run screaming into the house. It had very aggressive black small bugs and had eaten into all the peaches. We sprayed them and saw the harvest rot. We planned on putting out fruit fly catchers and netting with early, early dormant oil.
The Next year, we had Poodle Puppies. The Peaches were very unobserved, and enjoyed quickly.
Who had time for Peaches?
And this year
Isaiah 13:10
The stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light.
The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light.
Our son observed Fungus. Trip to purchase Dormant Oil and Fly Catchers. Voila. Peach Blossoms everywhere. Ahhhh. Then a need for additional water. Done. On with drip irrigation hose. Little more. Next day. Dead Peach tree 1. Next week. Dead Peach tree 2. Two more weeks. Dead Peach tree 3. Of course, 2020.
Our gardener friend had a bumper crop with his gigantic, well-behaved Peaches.
Then the Myer Lemon got leaf roller and the Tangerine. 2020 wasn't going as expected. Half of the Tangerine tree kicked over in one day. Boo.
And Then ~ our miniature Pomegranate Plants decided to go into well past Over Drive. We had to move the yard furniture out of the way of the breaking down trees. A first. Never before in 20 years had the harvest been so Abundant.
Beautiful to Behold. And unlike the Peaches this crop of Pomegranates takes forever to mature and the blessing is in the observation of the fruit growing.
Two-Thirds of Americans Think Coronavirus Self-Isolation
Made Them a Better Person, Study Finds
Some respondents gained the time and flexibility to delve into new hobbies and discover new passions, the study found
The survey of 2,000 Americans over the age of 21, commissioned by Coravin and conducted by OnePoll, looked at the positives changes to come from the coronavirus pandemic — and the ways in which respondents are re-prioritizing what they value.
Results revealed 55 percent of respondents were even a bit embarrassed by some of the things they valued pre-quarantine, and this time spent inside gave 70 percent a chance to learn more about themselves.
Over 70 Percent of Americans Are Using Their Cars for 'Me Time' During the Pandemic
Being close to the people we care about was a major theme for the survey respondents. In fact, 46 percent want to spend more quality time with friends and family, and 38 percent plan to create more meaningful relationships with those around them.
New York Post
Coravin CEO Chris Ladd adds, “Quarantine has given us unprecedented time to explore and try new things both personally and with our loved ones. It’s forced us to be creative in how we remain connected when we are physically distant. And it’s created an environment where virtual events like wine tastings have flourished, introducing a broader audience to experiences they might not have had in person. We expect these new approaches to last well after ‘normal’ returns.”
New York Post reports:
This opportunity to explore personal interests beyond work has led 27 percent of respondents to indicate they are hoping to achieve a better work/life balance coming out of quarantine.
Philippians 2
2 So if there is any encouragement in Christ,
any comfort from love,
any participation in the Spirit,
any affection and sympathy,
2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that
at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Psalms 18:28
Psalm 107
107 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
whom he has redeemed from trouble
3 and gathered in from the lands,
from the east and from the west,
from the north and from the south.
4 Some wandered in desert wastes,
finding no way to a city to dwell in;
5 hungry and thirsty,
their soul fainted within them.
6 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
7 He led them by a straight way
till they reached a city to dwell in.
8 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
9 For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things.
10 Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death,
prisoners in affliction and in irons,
11 for they had rebelled against the words of God,
and spurned the counsel of the Most High.
12 So he bowed their hearts down with hard labor;
they fell down, with none to help.
13 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death,
and burst their bonds apart.
15 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
16 For he shatters the doors of bronze
and cuts in two the bars of iron.
17 Some were fools through their sinful ways,
and because of their iniquities suffered affliction;
18 they loathed any kind of food,
and they drew near to the gates of death.
19 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
20 He sent out his word and healed them,
and delivered them from their destruction.
21 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
22 And let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving,
and tell of his deeds in songs of joy!
23 Some went down to the sea in ships,
doing business on the great waters;
24 they saw the deeds of the Lord,
his wondrous works in the deep.
25 For he commanded and raised the stormy wind,
which lifted up the waves of the sea.
26 They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths;
their courage melted away in their evil plight;
27 they reeled and staggered like drunken men
and were at their wits' end.
28 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
29 He made the storm be still,
and the waves of the sea were hushed.
30 Then they were glad
that the waters were quiet,
and he brought them
to their desired haven.
Abba,
We ask You to put off our former way of life, our old self,
which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires.
To be renewed in the Spirit of our minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God
in true righteousness and holiness.
The depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are Your judgments and how inscrutable Your ways! For from Abba and through Jesus and to His Holy Spirit are all things. To You be glory forever. Amen.
May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Father God, Abba,
We are the most Blessed of all people.
We Know Jesus is alive.
We given Thanks for all the reasons. Families reunited and prayed together when season has passed of coldness. Tolerance and mercy was found for people who quarantined and were hidden. Millions looked out for one another. Life had changed and radiated around the world.
And Mercy has prevailed for Israel again.
Your Word upholds the Heavens
Your Word brings Life and Love.
We ask Jesus to live in our souls, our hearts, our words and ways. We ask More Heaven on earth. And More Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
We pray the Glory of putting God first and Seeking Heaven on earth.
We would take the Goodness and Love You are, Father God, and spread this to our loved ones! To the People You have given us! To the Nation trusting in You. Your good willingness filling all of Your creation to Celebrate Your Son Jesus.
We are praying to find one (not two!) sets of keys, our car is now moving!.
And the hardship and trauma of lost keys. Peace.
And the hardship and trauma of lost keys. Peace.
We are the Easter People.
Jesus Christ has made us His. Alleluia. Amen.
Jesus Christ has made us His. Alleluia. Amen.
O God, make us willing to do your will, come what may.
Increase the number of persons of good will and moral sensitivity.
Give us renewed confidence in nonviolence and the way of love as taught by Christ. Amen.
