Isaiah 12:1-6 ~ Give thanks to the Lord, call upon Jesus Christ Lord

 

Isaiah 12:1-6 

You will say in that day:

“I will give thanks to you, O Lord, for though you were angry with me, 

your anger turned away, that you might comfort me.

“Behold, God is my salvation;

I will trust,

and will not be afraid;

for the Lord God is 

my strength and my song,

and He 

has become my salvation.”

With joy, you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

And you will say in that day: 

“Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His Name,

 make known His deeds among the peoples, 

proclaim that His Name is exalted. 

“Sing praises to the Lord, 

for He has done gloriously; 

let this be made known in all the earth"

A few days ago on September 16th, we read Luke 4 

16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Didn't we believe the Virus would end like the Spanish Flu. Haven't we prayed and asked as the people did in the Polio epidemic. Didn't we believe the Virus would end like the mysterious sweating sicking plague of the 1500s. Didn't we believe the Virus would end like Swine Flu. Exactly as Bird Flu.

Didn't we believe the Northwestern States would have rain and grow cooler as the seasons change. Didn't we pray for the Northwestern States before. Doesn't Jesus know this year, we sit as Mary did at the feet of Jesus. Luke tells us Mary wiped the feet of Jesus with her hair. And Mary sat at the feet of Jesus when Lazarus died and explained to Jesus exactly as she felt. She opened her heart to the Lord, trusting Jesus would let her be who He created her to be. Open-hearted is exactly what Jesus wants. We believe and know Jesus answers prayer.

Jesus dealt day in and out with doubters.

Not just Thomas. Jesus reminded the Disciples again and again, see what you've seen. Understand what you've seen. Blessed are the eyes that have seen. Jesus told the father with the injured son, "Have faith." And then helped him to have more faith.

And then.

We've had a 2020 year changing "Ground Hogs Day" into "Dude, Where is Your Car." As if this was a movie swap. And then. And then. . Like the crashing of the Tropical Storm in the Gulf of Mexico we are about to pray about - Again.

And then we read Luke 4.

19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Didn't hope begin entering in. And then a thought races in, we wonder, "When."

When we would find oppression lifting? Didn't our hearts warm and our hopes lean to Proclaiming the Year of the Lord's Favor?

We wanted, hoped, longed to see the hope of the world uniting for something Beautiful.

We wanted to see us unite.

All didn't want to see the world change again in loss.

The Clarity of Equality.

Justice Ginsburg was exactly right. 2020 has been a year we followed along with the unfolding Exodus. The purpose of the tragedy, trauma of all this - was to secure a good future for the Children of God. To achieve hope for our children. Scriptures call this a Hope and a Future.

Equality must realize the injustice of fatherless children. To strive to keep families intact and strong. A team with respect for All. Abraham put forth laws all nations have as a basis. And Jesus brought us Mercy to find out the way, truth and Life.

Equality is felt the most in our homes, families and the Light of Equality shines until the darkness is gone.

More Jesus. More Holy Spirit. More Joy.

Dwell in us and those we Love.

Comfort and Love to

Justice Ginsburg. 

May her Spirit live on forever.

Abba, we trust You with our cares.
Abba, we trust You with our dearly held Love ones.
Abba, we trust You with the people You Give us.
Abba, we trust You with today, we trust You with tomorrow.

We are the people who will rest tonight safely.
We are the people who will rise up to the Work You give us.
We are the people You nourish in the Holy Spirit.
We are Joyful to be Your Beloved.

Thank You, Abba, to care for the people who delight You.
We see  Tropical Storms and hopefully no more Hurricanes. 

 Fires in the United States.

We pray for Unity.

We believe You have a Plan. And as we trust in You,
we can do all things in Jesus Christ.

We Thank You for the Holy Spirit You display in this time.

The Father still at work. 

With His Son Jesus. Joy.

Finally, brothers, Rejoice! 

Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; 

and the God of love 

and peace 

will be with you.

 Amen!

Opening our doors with expectation of Your Continued Goodness
in ourselves, in the ones we Love,
Jesus Christ in the people You bring us.

Blessing our Nation, blessing us to find You first.
Ending our Divisions.

Jesus help us in this Nation to be in Your Word and see more Joy.
