James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God,
who gives generously to all without reproach,
and it will be given him.
Yesterday, we thought about the Awe and Wonder created in God's Word. God doesn't always clearly say what His thinking. His Way is, after all, high above ours.
There is Awe and Wonder in this statement from James, brother of Jesus, son of Joseph and Mary. No one in the Scriptures is remarkably wise all the time. This is a key to the Childhood of Jesus. This is about God answering Prayer. Believing faithfully God will work all things to good for those who Believe God and work for His Purpose. When we seek God, we will find Him. We have to see God's Word with faith and decide what God is saying. When we favor ourselves with Faith, we find solutions to His Living Word for Give Us This Day.
What is James telling us he learned by growing up near Jesus?
John 2 Tells us Jesus enjoyed going home to see His Family and brought Disciples
to see Mary and His Family. The Wedding of Cana happened with a visit to Nazareth.
We don't know if Mary and Joseph returned from Egypt, with the other sibling children Scriptures tell Mary and Joseph would have to complete Jesus' Family. We don't know if Jesus was 3 or 6 or 9 years old when He returned to Israel. We don't know.
Known: Joseph dreamed not to return to Jerusalem, due to leadership problems for Jesus and His Birth.
Joseph wasn't so poor, he was without skills and options.
What would Mary think about Joseph's plan to return her to her hometown of Nazareth, when Jesus was born when Mary and Joseph were merely betrothed? Have a great time in Bethlehem, oh heavily pregnant and only betrothed one...
Seems Caesarea would be a great place to join Israel! Instead, Mary and Joseph plunge back into Mary's hometown of Nazareth. Nazareth is known to be famous for being a watch tower.
Scriptures tell us Mary, Joseph, Jesus, James, Jude, Simon and Joses, with the sisters of Jesus were heading back into endless snobbery and chilly behavior. The Law has been broken, Merry Christmas.
James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God,
who gives generously to all without reproach,
and it will be given him.
You can bet Jesus helped Mary and the family to blend in. Twice we find the Scriptures record the town sees Joseph's family as seamless. Miracles of Miracles.
The Childhood of Jesus:
Proverbs 15:23
A man takes joy in a fitting reply--and how good is a timely word!
Luke 1
46 And Mary said:
“My soul glorifies the Lord
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
for the Mighty One has done great things for me
—
holy is His Name.
His mercy extends to those who fear him,
from generation to generation.
He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
He has brought down rulers from their thrones
but has lifted up the humble.
Proverbs 24:26
Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.

It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,
'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners
John 7
After this, Jesus went around in Galilee. He did not want to go about in Judea because the Jewish leaders there were looking for a way to kill him.
2 But when the Jewish Festival of Tabernacles was near,
3 Jesus’ brothers said to him, “Leave Galilee and go to Judea, so that your disciples there may see the works you do. 4 No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.”
5 For even his own brothers did not believe in him.
6 Therefore Jesus told them, “My time is not yet here; for you any time will do. 7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil. 8 You go to the festival. I am not going up to this festival, because my time has not yet fully come.”
9 After he had said this, he stayed in Galilee.
10 However, after his brothers had left for the festival, he went also, not publicly, but in secret. 11 Now at the festival the Jewish leaders were watching for Jesus and asking, “Where is he?”
Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them,
because He knew all people
Luke 4:22
All spoke well of Him and marveled at the gracious words that came from His Lips:

Mark 6:3
Isn't this the carpenter? Isn't this Mary's son and
the brother of James, Joseph, Jude and Simon? Aren't his sisters here
with us?
Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Hebrews 2:17
Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
Luke 7:13
When the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her, and said to her, “Do not weep.”
Matthew 15:32
And Jesus called His disciples to Him, and said, “I feel compassion for the people, because they have remained with Me now three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away hungry, for they might faint on the way.”
Isaiah 40:11
Like a shepherd He will tend His flock,
In His arm He will gather the lambs
And carry them in His bosom;
He will gently lead the nursing ewes.
Isaiah 42:3
A bruised reed He will not break
And a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish;
He will faithfully bring forth justice.
Isaiah 63:9
In all their affliction He was afflicted,
And the angel of His presence saved them;
In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them,
And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.
Matthew 8:3
Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.”
And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Matthew 8:16-17
When evening came, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were ill. This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: “He Himself took our infirmities and carried away our diseases.”
Matthew 9:36
Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd.
Jesus and His Solid Family, Jesus waited and Believed.
Luke 2
Awe and Wonder, Seek and Ye Shall Find
49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked.

Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. 14 They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women
and Mary the mother of Jesus,
and with his brothers.

Let Jesus roll down like
cleansing waters,
and righteousness
like an ever-flowing stream.
And we will be blessed indeed.
Jesus the Lord. Alleluia
and Amen.
