Psalm 61
Hear my cry, O God,
listen to my prayer;
2 from the end of the earth I call to you
when my heart is faint.
Lead me to the rock
that is higher than I,
3 for you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the enemy.
4 Let me dwell in your tent forever!
Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah
5 For you, O God, have heard my vows;
you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
6 Prolong the life of the king;
may his years endure to all generations!
7 May he be enthroned forever before God;
appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him!
8 So will I ever sing praises to your name,
as I perform my vows day after day.
Once every so often, all the events pile up and then there is time and need to ask for prayer.
This is Edward's Birthday month. These last few weeks, we've had a fall on my hand, the Lord God has blessed me not to have a broken hand. Edward accidentally sliced a gash in his finger, took about 30 minutes to bandage because he didn't want to let go of the running water faucet. Then with the deep trauma, he took a nap in the day and rested from feeling faint. Never wonder at someone else's injury too much, because next, our younger son's Siberian Husky 5-month-old Puppy ran linebacker into my nose. A crack, and then a faucet stream of blood. About 15 minutes of paper towel and blood. Fortunately, Edward played basketball and he was quickly able to assure me this was just cartilage. No swelling, just blood.
Edward sleeps with thunderstorm noise headphones, allowing him to rest all night. Last Tuesday, Edward was suddenly so dizzy with Vertigo, he was in bed and vomiting. After looking at the possibilities we realized with Edward's childhood brain injuries, the headphones emit a frequency causing Vertigo.
At this point, we sound fairly ancient and infirm, Edward did win first place in his tournament in Disc Golf this weekend. Edward is learning to sleep without the headphones, which was a sleeping aide blessing. I frequently swim for an hour and walk the dogs often.

Flowers I did for Alexander's Girlfriend
Prayer went Really Well, Thank God
Cal, our oldest son, took on an out-of-country friend's dog. Which turned out to go poorly, and the dog is growling and has bitten him three times, in fewer weeks. I asked for prayer from two friends. Once for the dog not to kill Cal and then for Edward and his vomiting. The same day we all prayed for Cal not to be attacked and hurt for his good deed, the dog adapted to the Gentle Leader purchased that day and the owner and Cal agreed for Cal to send the dog out of the country, to the owner. Edward immediately stopped vomiting upon prayer and found the real cause of the problem that day. Not having to go to an ENT or MRI appointment.
We are still asking for prayers for the sale of the House in Dallas. And are seeing showings still. The foreclosure on the street went very quickly. And was only one living area entirely. Another newly listed house is very similar and will probably increase business looking.
Our younger son, Alexander went with us to see his Grandmother on Sunday. He got to see our niece who is loving being anticipating her first child and Edward's sister's first grandchild. A very happy reunion.
Having Alexander was a sheer joy, to have him experience with us what the last 6 months have worked and found. Seeing the family get together.
Like this year with its vast ups and downs, we know the Lord God is acting.
We aren't consumed.
We feel His Presence and wonder sometimes we go through all that we experience. Many of us consider hearing about the Spanish Flu and the Roaring 20s. When we feel the world has gone madly out of wack, we realize how quickly life recovered from the many worries of the last century. And then wonder, with new fresh hell, how life will find its feet again. And begin, again, the History Lesson and recoveries.
Counting our Blessings and understanding Jesus is Present with us all in our talks and prayers.
And then one day this summer, my brother John arrived, and this went by us...
John 3:8
The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Psalms 107:23
Some went out on the sea in ships; they were merchants on the mighty waters.
Abba, Father God,
