Luke 5:26
And amazement seized them all, and they glorified God and were filled with awe, saying,
“We have seen extraordinary things today.”
Mark 10:32
32 And they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them.
And they were amazed
Matthew 27:54
When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus,
saw the earthquake a
nd what took place, they were filled with awe and said,
“Truly this was the Son of God!”
Awe and Wonder. Seek and Ye shall find.
Ye is the word used for our higher and better souls and selves we can become. Genesis begins the Creation, God's Good Creation and isn't in great detail. Later, Peter would tell us a day to God is thousands of years. Genesis is true, but isn't in depth. God's Word created Light. The rest is His Story.
Awe and Wonder. Seek and Ye shall find.
What God tells us is through a mirror darkly. We learn about God as we think about God's Word and His Nature. Realize how much God wants for us, Life is really more like the Prodigal Son. The Awe and Wonder of His Promise to you in Jesus Christ.
Awe and Wonder.
We really don't know much about the men who walked with Jesus. Mostly they had fears even if they certainly did Love Jesus and weren't going to leave Him until panic, fear and reality made them less then they should have been. Deserted Jesus, forgiven by Jesus and in shadow for being so very close to the Light of the world, Light of mankind, Manifest Living Word of God, Savior of all.
Consider how much more we know about David, oddly chosen of God, and not about the Disciples. Given so much. Believed so much. Fallen so far. Picked up in God's Overwhelming Mercy. We know David's parents, relationships with his brothers, how he felt about being married, where he lived, his childhood, his teen years, his friendships, his honor in times of great fear. His employment, less than the stellar we'd hope. The women David encountered. The kings David was betrayed by, worked for, impressed, honored and avenged. We know how David chose to place his Palace. The kidnapping of his family and the ditch he was living in when Saul and Jonathon died. David's several fall from grace. David who spent much time with the Ark of the Covenant. David the grief stricken father. The terrible example of fatherhood. David the politician. David the beaten king. David the Triumphant King because of God. David the victorious King in all of Israel's History.
And in David's Life, we learn why Jesus didn't become the King the Wise Men knocked on the door of Herod to meet. Priests were not slaughtered for Jesus. Instead, Jesus gave barren priests, in His Family, Fruit and Prophetic Insight. Jesus even replaced a severed ear of a Temple guard during Jesus Crisis. Jesus didn't create a Bathsheba moment, Jesus sat in the dust and wrote God's Word and offered Salvation. David failed his children significantly. Jesus wouldn't let anyone separate Him from His Children. Jesus didn't ride into Battle. Jesus Christ Triumphant was the Battle against despair, poverty, illness, sin and suffering. David was promised a relationship to an eternal line of Kings. Jesus is the Highest Name Above All Others.
I was listening to a Pastor out of Louisiana tell about his dreams or visions of Heaven. And I'd dreamed something similar. He said he had met David. David is accessible and greets and talks easily with God's Chosen, Beloved. I find this easy to believe for all reading and knowing the Word of God.
Ephesians 3
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I ask that out of the riches of His glory
He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,
Ephesians 1:10
As a plan for the fullness of time, to bring all things in heaven
and on earth together in Christ.
Ephesians 2
Therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners,
but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household,
20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. 21 In Him the whole building is fitted together
and grows into a holy temple in the Lord.
22 And in Him you too are being built together into a dwelling place
for God in His Spirit.
The Bible tells us God knows we are flowers in the field and, yet, Jesus tells us we are gods. Well, especially in Heaven. God sees in us what we don't see. And Graces us with the mercy of being human and forgiven. In David, we can see in Jesus, what we haven't even traveled in. How Great a Salvation, a free gift, we can never earn. A glimpse of what we cannot have without Jesus Christ.
David lived his life believing all things work together for good, for those who love the Lord and work according to His Purpose.
Isaiah 40:31
Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Colossians 2:9
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form

God is Ancient of Days
He could have chosen anyone to be the Father's Line
of Jesus Christ, Messiah.
David represents the Grace of God to us in our faith.
1 Thessalonians 2
9 For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil: we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God. 10 You are witnesses, and God also, how holy and righteous and blameless was our conduct toward you believers. 11 For you know how, like a father with his children,
12 we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.
In all the Word of God
we see David's failures
and the Mercy of God
David believed was for him
to struggle on to become God's man.
David is a contrast for the world we live in.
Jesus is the meaningful fullness of our souls. Enduring.
Love. Valor. Integrity.
We would give this to those we Love.
As God our Father longs for us.
David displays amazing bravery as a youth.
His accomplishments, we can understand, within our grasp.
David even works to save his parents and brothers when Saul takes David's
life and creates a criminal with injustice, from son-in-law married to Saul's daughter Princess.
Jesus doesn't tell us of His Childhood.
He grew in wisdom and stature.
As Jesus began His Ministry, the entire town showed up the first day.
Evidently, Jesus has quite a childhood.
David lives in a ditch, his family is kidnapped, he is working any job he can have
to train to live into God's anointed Word about his life.
We know about David's life more than Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Jesus lives like a flower in the field. He doesn't grasp God's Glory,
Jesus is God's Love.
When Jesus rode the Donkey through the Beautiful Gate to see the Temple,
David arrives and is clothed and housed in splendor.
Jesus wears a seamless robe, something of great value has been created for Jesus.
Hebrews 1:11
They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment.
For millenniums, we have all wanted to hold the hem of Jesus' garment.
To have the Robe of His Hem fill us.
The men who handled Christ's Robe, realized,
this is the Son of God.

What does God find in us. We pray.
Psalm 17:8:
Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings
Zechariah 2:8:
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
Hebrews 11:6
Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
God's greatest desire and pleasure is to be believed by us.
Micah 6
7 Would the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of oil?
Shall I present my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 He has shown you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you
but to act justly,
to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with your God?
God gave Jesus Prophetic Glory
Matthew 21
14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.
15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant, 16 and they said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?”
And Jesus said to them, “Yes; have you never read,
“‘Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise’?”
Psalm 8
O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.
2 Out of the mouth of babies and infants,
you have established strength because of your foes,
to still the enemy and the avenger.
3
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him?
5 Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You have given him dominion over the works of your hand
Why did God give us David
and not the Apostles?
Seek and we shall find.
1 Corinthians 4:8-21
Already you have all you want!
Already you have become rich! Without us you have become kings!
And would that you did reign, so that we might share the rule with you!
9 For I think that God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, like men sentenced to death, because we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men.
10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ.
We are weak, but you are strong.
You are held in honor, but we in disrepute.
11 To the present hour we hunger and thirst,
we are poorly dressed and buffeted and homeless,
12 and we labor, working with our own hands.
When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure;
13 when slandered, we entreat. We have become, and are still, like the scum of the world, the refuse of all things.
14 I do not write these things to make you ashamed,
but to admonish you as my beloved children.
15 For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers.
For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
16 I urge you, then, be imitators of me.
17 That is why I sent you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord,
to remind you of my ways in Christ,
as I teach them everywhere in every church.
20 For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power.
21 What do you wish? Shall I come to you with a rod, or with love in a spirit of gentleness?
Frankly, we all understand David much better than the Disciples.
David withstood decades, 40 years of living the dream Kingship.
We can understand David's motivations.
We can understand David's failures.
The Disciples, don't we wonder at their fears and failures and deaths.
Jesus has given us a Guide in Christ in David we can relate to in
Two Books of the Bible.
The Central Figure in God's Word is always
Jesus Christ.
God gives us Guides to Seek and Find.
Both the Apostles chosen of God to walk with Jesus
and David teach us more in seeking and finding Jesus
Romans 5
Suffering produces endurance,
4 and endurance produces character,
and character produces hope,
5 and hope does not put us to shame,
because God's love has been poured into our hearts
through the Holy Spirit
who has been given to us.
6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person
—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—
8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by His Blood,
much more shall we be saved by Him from the wrath of God.
10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son,
much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by His life.
11 More than that,
we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Death in Adam, Life in Christ
12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin,
and so death spread to all men because all sinned—
for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given,
but sin is not counted where there is no law.
14 Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.
15 But the free gift is not like the trespass.
For if many died through one man's trespass,
much more have the grace of God
and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.
16 And the free gift is not like the result of that one man's sin.
For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation,
but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification.
17 For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man,
much more will those who receive the abundance of grace
and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.
18 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men,
so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.
19 For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, s
o by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.
20 Now the law came in to increase the trespass,
but where sin increased,
grace abounded all the more,
21 so that, as sin reigned in death,
grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life
through Jesus Christ
our Lord.
The earth is the Lord's
and
the fullness thereof.
Abba, Father,
You gave us Jesus Christ
to save the world in Jesus Christ.
Dwell in us.
Help us to be the Delight of Your Heart.
Dwell in those we Love.
Help us to seek You first.
And with You, we will finish well.
May the Lord Bless us and Keep us
and
Make His Face to Shine upon us
be gracious to us.
May the Lord God
Lift His Countenance upon us
and smile
give us peace,
put Your Name, Highest Name Jesus
upon us Your Beloved
and we will
be Blessed.
Amen in Jesus Christ.
Abba, Father,
In Jesus Christ, we will never give up.
Jesus the God of ALL.
Jesus, we pray Life and healing
Joy and Love in all of us.
