Numbers 24:2-7, 15-17
When Balaam raised his eyes and saw Israel encamped, tribe by tribe,
the spirit of God came upon him,
and he gave voice to his oracle:
The utterance of Balaam, son of Beor,
the utterance of a man whose eye is true,
The utterance of one who hears what God says,
and knows what the Most High knows,
Of one who sees what the Almighty sees,
enraptured, and with eyes unveiled:
How goodly are your tents, O Jacob;
your encampments, O Israel!
They are like gardens beside a stream,
like the cedars planted by the LORD.
His wells shall yield free-flowing waters,
he shall have the sea within reach;
His king shall rise higher,
and his royalty shall be exalted.
Then Balaam gave voice to his oracle:
The utterance of Balaam, son of Beor,
the utterance of the man whose eye is true,
The utterance of one who hears what God says,
and knows what the Most High knows,
Of one who sees what the Almighty sees,
enraptured, and with eyes unveiled.
I see him, though not now;
I behold him, though not near
A star shall advance from Jacob,
and a staff shall rise from Israel.
like the cedars planted by the LORD
used in building the Temple
the utterance of the man whose eye is true,
The utterance of one who hears what God says,
and knows what the Most High knows,
Of one who sees what the Almighty sees,
enraptured, and with eyes unveiled.
I see Him
Luke 2: 22-32
And when the time came for their purification according to the Law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord 23 (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every male who first opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord”) 24 and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the Law of the Lord, “a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.”
25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27 And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law,
28 he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said,
29 “Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace,
according to your word;
30 for my eyes have seen your salvation
31 that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples,
32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles,
and for glory to your people Israel.
For the Glory of Your people Israel:
Luke 2
"Thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.”
36 And there was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years, having lived with her husband seven years from when she was a virgin, 37 and then as a widow until she was eighty-four.
She did not depart from the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day. 38 And coming up at that very hour she began to give thanks to God and to speak of him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.
Living Water
yield free-flowing waters
The utterance of one who hears what God says,
and knows what the Most High knows,
Of one who sees what the Almighty sees,
enraptured, and with eyes unveiled
John 14: 5
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 3:15-18
That whoever believes in him may have eternal life. '
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned,
but whoever does not believe is condemned already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God
Why would God use Balaam?
Balaam in the middle of the Exodus, a Mighty Work of God! Balaam had friends in loow places. Cause Balaam's got friends in low places
Where the whiskey drowns
And the beer chases his blues away
And he'll be okay. Balaam is big on social graces
Think I'll slip on down to the oasis
Oh, Balaam's got friends in low places. Rather like the Disciple Matthew!
Jezreel Valley
Why would God allow Heli
to be known as part of God's Family, when Heli caused Mary to travel across the whole Jezreel Valley, immediately to her cousin Elizabeth. Why would God choose Mary, she tried to have Jesus come home and sent His Brothers out publicly. Why would God choose Joseph, who knew he could have Mary stoned to death, carrying Jesus. Joseph took Mary 70 miles to Bethlehem when they were unmarried.
All of Israel knows!
Why would God choose the Shepherds?
So much time on their hands, discussing this and that. Why would God choose Capernaum, when the whole steep hill lined town, sheep, turned out to see Jesus in His first day of Ministry? Where the fisherman, and the shepherds, all people who conversed with the time on their hands? Fishers of men?
Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,
for those who are called according to His purpose.
Abba, Father,
The Spirit of God come upon us
and give voice to this prayer, we ask in Jesus' Name.
May the words of our mouth and thoughts of our heart
be the
the utterance of mankind whose eye is true,
The utterance of one who hears what God says,
and knows what the Most High knows,
Of one who sees what the Almighty sees,
enraptured, and with eyes unveiled:
How goodly Your Refuge and Your Strong Tower
Name of Jesus Christ.
We who Believe are like gardens beside a stream,
like the cedars planted by the LORD.
His wells shall yield free-flowing waters,
Let Justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream
In Jesus, we shall have the sea within reach;
Jesus, Lord of Lords
King of Kings shall rise higher,
and His royalty shall be exalted.
We thank You, Abba, God, for rifts healed
as the Pandemic gave us time to think and talk.
We thank You for Your Mercy.
We Thank God for children and parents to unite.
We pray for the suffering, for the Comfort and Love of God Himself.
Jesus, Lamb of God, comfort, we ask, and heal.
Peace.
Dwell in those seeking Your Love and Mercy
Dwell in us and those we Love.
Help us to seek You first.
And we will finish well.
Amen in Jesus and
Alleluia to the Glory of God.
