Stained Glass is mere sand,
and with heat, pressure and fire
and much deliberate effort,
lasting beauty, meaning and resilience is found.
Some Stained Glass in France
has lived through many wars,
some worldwide wars,
and seen by King Charlemagne, 764 A.D.
Matthew 9:35-10:1
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.
36 When he saw the crowds, He had compassion on them because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
10 And He called to Him His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction
We have studied the hardship of doing the First Christmas. The Works of God involve faith. Persistent, enduring belief, God is going to see us through.
Mary is told she is chosen of God and will be known throughout time.
The next events in Mary's faith and life, have her leaving in great haste, we are not even told if she is accompanied. But she is not greeted by the Priest and head of household. She is greeted merely by the woman of the house... and her unborn baby. If you'd met the Archangel Gabriel and you were mute, wouldn't you find the time to greet your cousin who had also met Archangel Gabriel? Wouldn't you want to compare notes and find a solution to being mute?
We know Mary was exactly following, just as God wanted, her blessed life. It must have all seemed overwhelming to Mary. God with her. By faith.
Jesus is always greeted by the man of the house, except with Lazarus is dead or the man of the house is the 7th husband, who isn't actually a husband. Mary is going to take her life on faith. God's Promises are True and God keeps His Word.
The First Christmas only had Works of God giving a Heavenly Glory.
Making the Scripture Passage for Christmas not too unusual.
Matthew 9:35-10:1

Jesus is known as God of Love. God of Encouragement.
Jesus has called out. Invited. Warmed the Heart. Made His Love known and completed in us, who believe. And in the Joy Jesus tells us He has found in Life, He had given us warmth and knowledge of Heaven.
Jesus is saying in this Scripture, He gives us the gifts we need to accomplish our Love to mankind.
Jesus tells us, the Gates of Heaven have a Key. The Key is really believing in Christ Jesus, the One who tells us accomplishing the Works of God require Faith. Jesus says the work of mankind is to believe the One Who Sent Him. That's to the Point. Meaningful.
The Gates of Heaven - we learn in this Relationship with Jesus, God's Son, King of Kings, The Gates of Heaven always remain Open. Always Open. Always. - And Jesus then gives us an invitation during this time of these difficult years:
Hebrews 4:16
Let us then
with confidence
draw near to the throne of grace,
that we may receive mercy
and find grace
to help in time of need.
The Daily Work of Jesus being Grace upon Grace - we find Jesus is telling the people He encounters deliberately with His Father's Help and Word, Jesus is asking the Children of God, to ask Jesus what they require, need, believe, and know God would want to hear.
The Throne of the Almighty is at your Prayer Life - Given. The Lord's Prayer opens our Prayer Life to say, "Pray for more of Heaven upon earth." Pray for the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory of God. Jesus tells us He is our Friend, pray impudently. Pray as if Father God is in bed and it's midnight. Pray to the last minute. Overwhelm Him with Prayer and Pray as a friend and Pray as if You can convince Him with your... Hope. Pray with Hope.
Pray like the people who went to the roof, climbed the roof while dragging their friend, removed the roof and lowered their friend into Jesus' willingness and Love. Hope. Pray, Converse, Convince with Hope. Do the work.
Abba, Father,
Your Promises are Sure.
Your Word is Love.
Dwell in us.
Dwell in those we Love.
Help us to seek You first.
With Your Holy Spirit, we will see You more and more.
Encourage us in this Life
and we will finish well.
Please pray for the people in my family with Covid. They both have the variety without taste and smell.
Additionally, Please pray for the two girls in my family who have been in the ICU during this Christmas Season
to be strong and well.
Hopefully, Lord Jesus, this Cataract Surgery will happen this year, in January. Not like last year.
We pray Peace across the Nation, for our families to have Love and Peace,
the Soul of our Nation
and His enfolding Love of His Good Creation.
1 Corinthians 13:12
Now we see but a dim reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.
Now I know in part; then I shall know fully,
even as I am fully known.
2 Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.
For ourselves, for our families,
for our steadfast goodness in endurance
with
Faith
Hope
and Love
The Greatest is Love.
The Highest Name of Christ Jesus the Lord God Almighty Savior.
Alleluia
Amen.
