John 13:34-35
"A new command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Today, I watched a neighbor admit a crime to a government official. In person. And press a crime.
Today, we watched a video of police trying to get Southwest Airline ticket holders to move back to the unsecure area, then demand this large group of people to leave the airport as Trespassers. A minority woman in the crowd pressed forward, and told the officers that Ticket Holders are legally allowed in the Airport. She stopped the crowd from having to leave.
Today, I heard a nonbeliever call this blog, as a reader, a work of fiction. With a screaming tone of voice, versus a speaking voice.
Today, I saw people step up to the plate to work on goodness and mercy with justice.
Today, we have seen an example of Pandemic minds.
Today, I had a very gentle prayer answered. Actually, 4 prayers answered.
Especially, now, don't we all have a life that has wonderful aspects and then see things we wonder what direction will happen to all. How will we put this wonderful commandment on a plate and ask us to serve it warm and with great heart?
Jesus has an answer for this. The Prodigal Son is about a long distance of time. Time for the Father to sell off his hard work and dreams. Time for the Prodigal to kick up his heels with wine, women and song. Passing of time for the Prodigal to find a job, realize the job doesn't feed him. Travel a long way with thoughts of conversations and outcomes. We could be looking at a time period of 1 year to decide, 1 year to sell, 1 year to travel, 5 years or 7 years to spend a lifetime amount of money. No time to find a job not paying enough for food. 6 months to discover there is no future. 6 months to decide to face his parent. Could be months of travel. 10 years is possible.
What about the heart, as forgiveness has time? Salvation isn't earned. We need Jesus the Lord far more than He would need us. We rely on His Mercy daily. No one would please Jesus if we treat Him as our waiter, servant, driver, like a fake in our diligence. Jesus tells us He fills every dot and iota of Scripture. Our sincere efforts are the heart, Jesus would approve. Putting effort into Letting God be God. His Will be done. 10 Talents believing His Will is good.
Christmas is a time when our hearts are on the life self grade line. Not all of Christmas will be glorious. Some requires us to have mercy. Some requires us to be the faithful in the more diligent aspects of faith. The long, high road with appropriate conversation. When we look Up to God, we find what we have put behind us isn't usually that important. We don't even usually remember what was the funk of each Christmas Season. We remember the Joy we gave and Joy we received. That's a meaningful Life.
Abba, Father,
May the Lord
Bless us and keep us,
Make His Face to Shine upon us,
Be Gracious to us.
Lift up His Countenance,
His Smile,
Upon us
and give us Peace.
His very own Peace.
May the Lord give us the Name Jesus,
Fill us with Jesus,
put us on His Path
and
We Are Blessed.
Always.
Amen and Amen.
