Ephesians 1:10-23
As a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him,
things in Heaven and things on earth.
In Him we have obtained an inheritance,
having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of His glory. 13 In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of His glory.
15 For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, 16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him
Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His great might 20 that He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the Heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
And He put all things under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
We know from Scriptures, God loves worship and Jesus is the Head of the Church. What if the Church had decided, Christmas was to be celebrated every 33 years, Jesus' life span on earth. And we had Christmas but 2 or 3 times in a lifetime? It might seem more practical. Why did the Lord want us to Celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ every year? Why did God ordain this yearly celebration of the Birth of His Only Son?
John 3:16
For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only Son,
that whoever believes in Him
should not perish
but have eternal life.
Why didn't God think we needed to think about the loss of the Only Good One in His life of Grace upon Grace as the Light of the world?
Romans 5:8
But God shows His love for us
in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
Proverbs 10:12
Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.
And if we remember only one reason?
“At that time,
declares the Lord,
I will be the God of all the clans of Israel,
and they shall be My people.”
2 Thus says the Lord:
“The people who survived the sword
found grace in the wilderness;
when Israel sought for rest,
the Lord appeared to him from far away.
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore I have continued My faithfulness to you.
4 Again I will build you, and you shall be built,
O virgin Israel!
Again you shall adorn yourself with tambourines
and shall go forth in the dance of the merrymakers.
5 Again you shall plant vineyards
on the mountains of Samaria;
the planters shall plant
and shall enjoy the fruit.
6 For there shall be a day when watchmen will call
in the hill country of Ephraim:
‘Arise, and let us go up to Zion,
to the Lord our God.’”
7 For thus says the Lord:
“Sing aloud with gladness for Jacob,
and raise shouts for the chief of the nations;
proclaim, give praise, and say,
‘O Lord, save your people,
the remnant of Israel.’
8 Behold, I will bring them from the north country
and gather them from the farthest parts of the earth,
among them the blind and the lame,
the pregnant woman and she who is in labor, together;
a great company, they shall return here.
9 With weeping they shall come,
and with pleas for mercy I will lead them back,
I will make them walk by brooks of water,
in a straight path in which they shall not stumble,
for I am a father to Israel,
and Ephraim is my firstborn.

Godliness with contentment is great gain
Ecclesiastes 3:12
I perceived that there is nothing better for them
than to be joyful

A glad heart makes a cheerful face
Psalm 68:3
But the righteous shall be glad;
they shall exult before God; they shall be jubilant with joy!
Abba, Father,
Guide us, O Lord, in all the changes and varieties of the world; that we may have evenness and tranquility of spirit: that we may not murmur in adversity nor in prosperity wax proud, but in serene faith resign our souls to thy divinest will; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
