Jeremiah 17:14
Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me,
and I shall be saved:
for Thou art my praise.
It has been since I was in college, to have encountered food poisoning. And like last time, this has been 14 hours of major upheaval. This time, the Christmas ham, I didn't realize the days of buying a pre-cooked ham, instead of cooking the ham from scratch. The Poodles also had ham the day before I did, to some worrying results, not realizing the ham wasn't spot on.
The goodness of rest and having comfort given by the one I love. Maybe a day of rest, but surrounded by the goodness of Christmas and the Joy of Christmas. The ability to ask the Lord for what we need.
Abba, Father,
May the God of endurance and encouragement
grant us to live in such harmony with one another,
in accord with Christ Jesus,
that together we may with one voice glorify the God
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
May the God of hope fill us all, everyone,
with all joy and peace in believing,
so that by the power of the Holy Spirit
we may abound in hope.
