Philippians 4:1-7
Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved.
2 I entreat Euodia and I entreat Syntyche to agree in the Lord. 3 Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, who have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand;
6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Did you ever wonder why The Star of the Nativity was part of the announcement
and not the Heavenly Host to the world?
Angels have long looked into the salvation. Why weren't Angels the announcement of the Birth of God's Only Son, Our source for Salvation.
We could only glimpse a glimmer of the idea God plans. God arranged for the Annunciation to the world, the Light of the world arrives and Light of mankind, Light of the nations, Light of Heaven would soon live as Grace upon Grace.
Gabriel was busy and went first.
God first spoke to the Children of Israel, and they were shaken, God was loud. God did not Use His Voice to have the Annunciation. Why didn't God stick to Gabriel announcing?
Hebrews 1
“I will be to Him a Father,
and He shall be to Me a Son”?
6 And again, when He brings the firstborn into the world,
He says,
“Let all God's angels worship him.”
And God, the Almighty God of the Universe, did not ask only one Angel to announce His Only Son. And did indeed have the Heavenly Host announce Him.
Why the Star?
John 1:9
The true light,
which gives light to everyone,
was coming into the world.
1 Corinthians 12:4
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit
John 12:28-30
“Father, glorify Your name!”
Then a voice came from Heaven: “I have glorified it,
and I will glorify it again.”
The crowd standing there heard it and said that it had thundered.
Others said that an angel had spoken to Him.
In response, Jesus said,
“This voice was not for My benefit, but yours.”
1 Corinthians 12:4-11
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts
but the same Spirit
There are different forms of service but the same Lord;
there are different workings but the same God.
Who produces all of them in everyone.
To each individual, the manifestation of the Spirit
is given
for some benefit.
Why would some see one angel, the Heavenly Host, or just the star? Episcopalians honor many types of gifts and workings of His Holy Spirit, calling this, The Middle Way.
Philippians 2:13
For it is God who works in you,
both to will
and to work
for His Good Pleasure.
For God is working in you,
giving you the desire
and the power
to do
what pleases Him.
