Mark 12:28-34
28 And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that He answered them well, asked Him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?”
29 Jesus answered,
“The most important is,
‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
31 The second is this:
‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
There is no other commandment
greater than these.”
32 And the scribe said to Him, “You are right, Teacher. You have truly said that He is One, and there is no other besides Him. 33 And to love Him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
34 And when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him,
“You are not far from the Kingdom of God.”
And after that no one dared to ask Him any more questions.
We learn in Scripture Studies about Love.
Agape, The Best and Godly. Philo - friendship and fellowship, Eros - passion. And then we learn about Love Languages. Service, Words, Gifts, Quality Time, Physical Touch. And then we have personality tests. One I took said the Universe holds 12 personalities.... ok, well possibly, hmm. 12 Tribes. 12 Disciples.
And then you have this Schematic Map of the Jerusalem 2nd Temple in the time of Jesus:
Now, if we want to consider another level, we can add on to the depth with the explanation of the Spiritual Journey from Jesus:
Remember, with me the first sermon of Jesus in his adult hometown of
Capernaum, the entire town turned out to hear Jesus Christ.
Matthew 13
That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea.
2 And great crowds gathered about Him, so that He got into a boat and sat down. And the whole crowd stood on the beach. 3 And He told them many things in parables, saying: “A sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. 5 Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, 6 but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. 7 Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. 8 Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. 9 He who has ears, let him hear.”
T10 Then the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”
11 And He answered them,
“To you it has been given to know the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven,
but to them
it has not been given.
Paul then addresses the size of God
2 Corinthians 12:2
I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago
was caught up to the third Heaven,
whether in the body or out of the body
I do not know, God knows.
Rick Warren gave a stellar sermon on Living Forgiveness for people in this century. Being a new creation in Christ Jesus and having the situations this century brings. Divorce, regret, step-children. Rick Warren said many people have, incredibly, suffered abuse for years. Families who form a wall of rebuke and self-esteem destruction for their own nasty purposes. What about that forgiveness?
To be free from wanting to harm. To be free to begin again. To not bring this up with hate. To ask God to be our Help, Helper, Comfort, Comforter. Not to repress emotions and then live past the pain.
Not required to live together, just not living in pain and desire for harm.
Jesus spoke of Reasonable Service.Presenting our bodies as part of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 12:1
Brethren, by the mercy of God,
that you present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, pleasing unto God,
your reasonable service
Philippians 4:5
Let your reasonableness be known to everyone.

All the Trouble Life can bring
Luke 10
25 And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” 27 And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
28 And he said to Him,
“You have answered correctly; do this,
and
you will live.”
29 But he,
desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 Jesus replied,
“A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead.
31 Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side.
32 So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
33 But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. 34 He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine.
Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’
36 Which of these three,
do you think,
proved to be
a neighbor
to the man who fell among the robbers?”
37 He said, “The one
who
showed
him
mercy.”
And Jesus said to him,
“You go, and do likewise.”
In the days of trouble, we have to find some Habuakkuk in our souls. Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, 18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
Jacob. Israel. His family, was one of those, who presented a wall for their own achievements. His best and favorite person, Leah, brought so much pain and eventually a curse of death. His son slept with his wife. The wives encouraged a bad path. His son hid the loss of a child. They did not speak even when famine and starvation was going to be the end of them. And Jacob believed so enormously, to forgive. No one asked for forgiveness. And His Blessings did not look coy or unwise. Wisely, Jacob. Israel. Choose Blessing with the real life given to them in their days of good and evil.
The Scriptures are keenly aware of the injustices of mankind. Try the mercy of forgiveness with prayers of apart and without harm. Let go of hostilities and make new paths toward the Lord. Jesus tells us His Disciples have the ability to bind sins. And move on without malice. The Bible tells us to be innocent as doves and wise as a snake. The Scriptures plainly say do not throw your pearls before swine. The Police say do not talk to them, let them know all conversation is ceased, no more conflict. Jacob says bless them to move past with forgiveness. The Lord says go ahead and pray to Him, and ask for Justice, He will bring Justice. The Lord tells our hearts He is our Helper, Help, Comfort and Comforter. He has the whole world in His Hands, He calls His Creation Good. The earth is the Lord's and the fullfillment thereof!
After His suffering, Jesus presented Himself alive to the apostles with many proofs He was alive, appearing over forty days and speaking about the Kingdom of God. We find, He spoke with 500 people.
And we could go far down and say this is forgiveness, or we could say,
I want to be in That Number, When the Saints Go Marching In.
With Jesus.
Amen.
Philippians 4:8

if there is anything worthy of praise,
think about these things."
