Psalm 68 ~ exult before God, be jubilant with joy

Something about this reminded me of the people counting the votes.

Psalm 68

God shall arise, his enemies shall be scattered;

    and those who hate him shall flee before him!

2 As smoke is driven away, so you shall drive them away;

    as wax melts before fire,

    so the wicked shall perish before God!

3 But the righteous shall be glad;

    they shall exult before God;

    they shall be jubilant with joy!

4 Sing to God, sing praises to his name;

    lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts;

his name is the Lord;

    exult before him!

5 Father of the fatherless and protector of widows

    is God in his holy habitation.

6 God settles the solitary in a home;

    he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,

    but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

7 O God, when you went out before your people,

    when you marched through the wilderness, Selah

8 the earth quaked, the heavens poured down rain,

    before God, the One of Sinai,

    before God, the God of Israel.

9 Rain in abundance, O God, you shed abroad;

    you restored your inheritance as it languished;

10 your flock found a dwelling in it;

    in your goodness, O God, you provided for the needy.

11 The Lord gives the word;

    the women who announce the news are a great host:

12     “The kings of the armies—they flee, they flee!”

The women at home divide the spoil—

13     though you men lie among the sheepfolds—

the wings of a dove covered with silver,

    its pinions with shimmering gold.

14 When the Almighty scatters kings there,

    let snow fall on Zalmon.

15 O mountain of God, mountain of Bashan;

    O many-peaked mountain, mountain of Bashan!

16 Why do you look with hatred, O many-peaked mountain,

    at the mount that God desired for his abode

    Yes, where the Lord will dwell forever?

17 The chariots of God are twice ten thousand,

    thousands upon thousands;

    the Lord is among them; 

Sinai is now in the sanctuary.

18 You ascended on high,

    leading a host of captives in your train

    and receiving gifts among men,

even among the rebellious, that the Lord God may dwell there.

19 Blessed be the Lord,

    who daily bears us up;

    God is our salvation.

is a God of salvation,

the Lord, belong deliverances from death.

    the Lord, O you who are of Israel's fountain!”

27 There is Benjamin, the least of them, in the lead,

28 Summon your power, O God,

    the power, O God, by which you have worked for us.

29 Because of your temple at Jerusalem

    kings shall bear gifts to you.

30 Rebuke the beasts that dwell among the reeds,

    the herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples.

Trample underfoot those who lust after tribute;

    scatter the peoples who delight in war.

31 Nobles shall come from Egypt;

    Cush shall hasten to stretch out her hands to God.

32 O kingdoms of the earth, sing to God;

    sing praises to the Lord,

 He is the One who gives power and strength to his people.

Oh, the places we go on Vacation.

Usually the places are dramatic and worthy of the time taken to get there. This year we spent time watching the webcams. We'd thought that it would be fun to see the places and how they'd look less crowded and found, instead, these wonderful places were usually jam packed.

The real deal is, Vacation is fine, but really can you survive the 9 or 10 month winter? Fun to visit, but oh, the real work. 

Let's look at the effort. There is a dire sifting effect:

Smoke, wax melts before fire.  Perish before God.

Marching through a wilderness.

Solitary.

Prisoners.

Rain in abundance.

Traveling up mountains.

People perish. Languish. Strike heads.

You have to really want to travel this road or have this life.

The finish line is displayed.

Exult before God, be jubilant with joy.

A song to sing even in the desert.

God will have us to Live Forever. And that's a mighty long time.

Renewal instead of languish.

Sheepfolds. Comfort. Holy Spirit.

To be with the worthy, the flock. God's own provision.

Even a parade, more sedately called a procession.

Warmongers rarely effectively given public rebuke, find Peace is present for the duration.

Ascribe power to God,

    whose majesty is over Israel,

    and whose power is in the skies.

35 Awesome is God from His sanctuary;

    the God of Israel—

 He is the One who gives power and strength to his people.

Blessed be God!

It'd be difficult to go on a real Vacation as this week is challenging. Instead, we have to do the steadfast work of being given power and strength as His People.  All of us.

There is Power in His purpose:

Hebrews 12:12,13

So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. 

Mark out a straight path for your feet 

so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.

God has a goal of Unity. To make us strong, to make the brothers, sisters strong. To be counted as meaningful, each of us being counted. 

Finding personal meaning, contributing to all. When we try to make each person strong, we are working to make God's Plan on earth. His Kingdom comes.

Philippians 4:13 

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Isaiah 41:10 

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Deuteronomy 31:6 

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Isaiah 40:31 

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Exodus 15:2

The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.

Acts 1 and 2 describe Overcoming in the human terms like Esther.  Charlton Heston isn't doing Moses in all technicolor. Instead, Acts of the Apostles, Chapter One — faith is walking along, with an idea and not the full direction.  Acts 1 has Unity. A new Unity. But this is moving along like a newborn colt. And in this time of waiting, for something they have the general idea — they have to make day to day decisions. Matthias is chosen to replace Judas. Prayer and looking for the revealing of hearts.

The Nation has a good heart. 

A Prayerful heart. We pray together. We want Honesty, Transparency.  We want our children to have the security of a rock solid voting system. We want our children to be secure. We want our voice, our vote to matter. We go into this time together. We are united in Integrity. We are not deeply divided today, we are evenly divided. And United.

Abba, Father,

Philippians 4:4

Rejoice always

When  you voted today what did you think of? Did you remember the first time you voted? Did you remember when you were thrilled with your vote? Did you think of 2016? Did you think of when you just about cried for hearing who had won? Did you look to today with sorrow? Did you have expectations of the future?

Did you remember how blessed we are to have the opportunity to Vote?

Your opinion matters.

Or did you hope for the next generations to be blessed 

knowing how much we, the people of the United States 

have pulled together to survive and thrive.

Jeremiah 29:11 

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble!

    He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake!

2 The Lord is great in Zion;

    He is exalted over all the peoples.

3 Let them praise your great and awesome name!

    Holy is He!

4 The King in His might loves justice.

    You have established equity;

you have executed justice

    and righteousness in Jacob.

5 Exalt the Lord our God;

    worship at His footstool!

    Holy is He!

6 Moses and Aaron were among His Priests,

    Samuel also was among those who called upon His Name.

How was your day? Mine was remarkable.

Because of sunshine, good spirits and this:

What a great day this was. 

I brushed past unhappiness and unhappy texts with all intentions to inspire, up-lift, support, encourage and cause Life in Abundance. To promote more Joy. Having given support — and support — last dollars were given and love for months. I was told that I had a 'stroke' for my encouragement. A literal brain issue stroke. I replied with a human being with a halo icon and thought the jab and argument were over. And continued with a very fine morning. Hours of enjoying a miff was ended with some humor.

This seemed to be the situation for hours. 

Those around me commented for over an hour what a great day this was. Surely, God in Heaven was giving us this Glorious Day and Weather to rejoice in November 3rd finally arriving. October-weather arriving in November.

Then I was told I was Hitler who made plans for others. Not as the first party texting me, more than a bystander who did out-right laugh for empathy. We both laughed. The phone call ended.

The Phone Rang, again, and we had to have another voice going for TKO.  Ok, we had the final dance and I asked was I supposed to be angry or cry. I was too indignant to continue. I saw no option for another way to encourage. Well, what can you do.  To be frank, this was manipulation. 

And then some sincere concern. Prayers were given here and with friends. Uplifting.

This was the argument lurking and popping out all day.  Everyone spoke with everyone and then offered opinion stirring the embers. The next person getting in the path told me to 'go to hell', using a particular prearranged code phrase.  It wasn't their problem, so I was to just shut up. And admitted, they had allowed the disagreement for their week of grumpiness, by official consent. I asked for more kind support, in a kindly tone, and was told 'this'. This person doesn't feel well. This particular person is going to sleep in the Guest Room tonight. Evidently, they have been given my invitation to have a case of cold shoulder.

I went back to the Den and decided although we don't have Covid, this must be 2020 Covid Brain Goes Bonk, Bonk. And then writing this down, per my College Child Lit Professor, to see all angles and make a solution,  made me realize humor and terminal diagnosis — make Peace seem so much more worthy. One side of the disagreement is solved tonight.

That quarrel has chased me since ten this morning and, now, is about to be November 3rd. I'm not happy about it and hope we don't have something go permanently out of chink. Jesus bless us this doesn't feed into anything more serious. I ask your prayers, in Jesus, Amen.

The image I saw in my mind today during the patchy wildfire pass along texts fight was this:

The image is both so hopeful and so disappointing. 

To know how close we are to Love and God's Plan. To know for the sorrowful and the truly grieved — like losing a child — we are this Close to His Love and Plan.

The Glass is half empty or half full. Skip that, the glass can always be taken to the faucet. What do we do with circumstances, words, and genuine skin-flint robbing us of how close we are to His Prize?  The hurt one human being can do just because they have the phrase, the ability, the greed, the boredom, the momentary need to remove us from Joy. Or even the willingness to take this from us forever.

Blessed are those who believe, blessed are the eyes that see. We walk by faith. This doesn't mean we haven't faced the earth quaking. This means we journey on the path until we know Jesus Christ Loves us and this will help. Jesus assurance when we can't fight the good fight, He is going to mediate and advocate for us in circumstance, in sign, in grit, in fortitude, in Hope and mostly in Enduring and Steadfast Love.

We all sin, we all fall, we all bleed. 

We all mostly need two years to recover when a life shaking event trauma happens. Like the death tragedies occurring to Claude Monet; he sat out for two years every time. All of us are reasonably assured Claude Monet was anointed with talent. Blessed by God. And suffered many deaths rendering him unable even to paint during the recovery. Monet went blind. Monet argued with faith and eventually, age 86, was buried at the Church of Giverny, where he wished to have a simple ceremony. For us all, anointed, or wondering, the Gates of Heaven are open.

Almost every Parable is a Journey taken over time. And the Drama in the Bible. It's not about shut up and comply. When it is, this isn't God. God counsels us about anger. About disappointment. Gives advice how anger is constructive. Tells us about self-indulgence. The Bible is Bold and Brave. And the Word of God tells us when to absolutely Flee.

The Lord's Prayer

Jesus tells us Specifically to ask for more Heaven on earth. We are asked to look for Heaven. To believe the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. I hate to remind us of the Bible saying the phrase, “Unshakable Kingdom” because just about the time we say this, we have another 5 years of the year 2020. God Help Us.

This day reminds me of this year. The people who had their business looted. The elderly waiting again to be told where everyone is.  The data on Covid changing again. The boredom. The worry.

The Finish Line in this Life doesn't happen. We learn to jump the hurdles with our eyes on Love, Steadfast Love, Hope and Joy. To Believe God can bring what is impossible to be part of His Plan. We inherit the Unshakable Kingdom. To know how close we are to God's Heart and God's Plan. To remember Revelation 1, an ordinary Sunday afternoon and sixty years later, John is alive and chatting with Living Jesus. Bold to continue His Journey.

With God's Plan and God's Promise 

When we voted November 3rd, 2016, there was a Bald Eagle at our Voting Site. The Police were pleased, and we had two squad cars of men examining the trees. 

We are going to live God's Plan. His Good Creation. Light of mankind. Light of the world. We pray:

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”

We will close with this exploration of the day, the year, our soul and circumstance. 

  “Thou hast made us for thyself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it finds its rest in thee.”

Titus 2 ~ the Grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for All People

Titus 2

But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. 

Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. 3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves too much wine. They are to teach what is good.

4 And so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. 

6 Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. 7 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, 8 and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us. 

9 Bondservants are to be submissive to their own masters in everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, 10 not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.

11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people
12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

YOU LOVE US!

You are The Good Father asking us to Love ourselves. 

To have a Spirit of Power.

To Love others.

Dwell in us, Father God, please.

Set us upon the path to find You first!

We bring Hope to Our Children.

Wisdom is Given.

In Jesus Christ. The Blessing upon us all and to all a good night and awaken in Love, 

Faith and Hope each tomorrow

Abundant Love flowing down. Soaking us all!

His Living Water flows.

Galatians 4:3-7 

In the same way we also, when we were children, were enslaved to the elementary principles of the world. 4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, 

then an heir through God.

Opening our doors with expectation of Your Continued Goodness

in ourselves, in the ones we Love,

Jesus Christ in the people You bring us.

We pray for the safety of

our Schools to be a safe, good,

warm place for the Children

Children need their Schools.

We uphold them with our Love and Prayers.

We ask Your Mighty Word

to for all the re-openings

Finding Your Blessing and Word of Love.

Blessing our Nation, blessing us.

Ending our Divisions.

Jesus help us in this Nation to be in Your Word and see more Joy.
