Reading Scripture helps us know God's Love. Every Bible verse is written for you. Jesus Christ is all mankind's Light. John 1!

Hebrews 10 23 ~ Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering

Timber Lake, Timber Ridge Texas
The news report was a little bit incorrect these homes flood continually.

Hebrews 10:23

23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Flood is not an easy thing. Nothing about flooding is interesting really. Other than God can move 500 Billion gallons of water and the people who watch the news pray and now are able to tell us they are praying. God bless Jeremiah and his son, Jeremiah Jr., who are alive from the helicopter basket shown on News ABC 13 and they say, "Thank God, Thank God" to be alive.

Last year we saw, with extreme concern, Timber Lake and Timber Ridge flood out twice. And we have an opportunity in Montgomery County, Texas. Spring Creek is being prepared to be a walk path of 26 miles. Why? The County wants to provide more and more healthy activities for life. Very Worthy. Very Worthy. We see the county buying up Spring Creek land for parking. Couldn't we have more baseball fields and soccer fields and jogging circles? Couldn't we put in more Disc Golf and have these residents, a lot are renters,  -  and have these houses which were a disaster twice last year  - in 2016 - couldn't we turn this area into a Blessing?

What if we could have multi-floored flats overlooking green fields of recreation?

I want to thank Andrew and my son. Last Hurricane I was very pregnant and Andrew moved all of our yard furniture and pot plants inside our garage. I cannot tell you how grateful I am. Still.

This storm time - I have a bandaged arm newly operated on and recovering. But Andrew and Alexander headed out to take care of their parent's friends' house who is very much out of town. This house had 4 feet of water during the last flood. So Andrew and my son Alexander worked all Sunday to move furniture up out of harm's way... Millennials!!! Jesus God Bless Them!!!

Abba,

Thank You Montgomery County is not so effected; Yet. Praying for safety for us all in these storms.

This flood is heart wrenching. So Grateful. You have given Life. Very Grateful and praying for so many. Especially Timber Lake Timber Ridge. The City of Houston. The City. The Gulf Coast. Victoria - how we love you.

Father God, we pray for more of Jesus. More of the Holy Spirit. More of Heaven on earth.

Giving thanks for life. Thanks for gratitude for life. Grateful for the diligence we see in the television clip and in my life, the people I see.

We lift up the ones we love and all of the people encountering this Flood.

Praying for safety and restoration. We would really appreciate amazing God help for moving this storm far, creating safety from wind and rain already soaked areas.

Jesus lift us up and we will rely upon Jesus and the Holy Spirit He gives us.

In Jesus' name. Amen.

Philippians 2 ~ encouragement in Christ

Philippians 2

1 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,
10 so that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

12 Therefore, my beloved,

as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,

13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

14 Do all things without grumbling or questioning, 15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

16 Holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. 17 Even if I am to be poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrificial offering of your faith,
I am glad and rejoice with you all.

18 Likewise you also should be glad and rejoice with me.

19 I hope in the Lord Jesus t
o send Timothy to you soon, so that I too may be cheered by news of you. 20 For I have no one like him, who will be genuinely concerned for your welfare.

21 For they all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ. 22 But you know Timothy's proven worth, how as a son with a father he has served with me in the gospel. 23 I hope therefore to send him just as soon as I see how it will go with me, 24 and I trust in the Lord that shortly I myself will come also.

25 I have thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, and your messenger and minister to my need, 26 for he has been longing for you all and has been distressed because you heard that he was ill. 27 Indeed he was ill, near to death. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.

28 I am the more eager to send him, therefore, that you may rejoice at seeing him again, and that I may be less anxious. 29 So receive him in the Lord with all joy, and honor such men, 30 for he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was lacking in your service to me.

Hearts are doing this. However, MOSTLY the news has photos and testimony of hardship and destruction of Hurricane Harvey.

We live in and odd and wonderful time. We all know this. We are in the age of Jane Jetson. Presto. And with social media, we pick who is far away to live with. Not the coworker. Not necessarily the neighbor. $300 and off in the airplane. This is good and bad. My oldest son is alive because medical advancements realized just Humidity kept premature infants alive. Jackie and John Kennedy did not have this option when their newborn son died while they were at the White House in the early 1960s. Humidity. I Love Ya!!!

Corrie Ten Boom discovered she could love fleas because the Nazi's stayed out of their cabin and they could live.

I had the good fortune to work with a Pro-Life Organization for 3.5 years. I learned valuable, immeasurably valuable traits from helping others. The people who do not burn out have these traits:

1. Be honest. With Mercy. If you are tired, say so. You don't have to go on and on, just say so. Find help to refresh yourself. You will find others willing in the service of Jesus Christ.

2. Be Grateful. What you have today - is not an accident. God did not ever, ever, ever dump the disciples for being - Human. Imagine looking into the eyes of Jesus - knowing the Widow of Nain's son lived and Lazarus and Jairus' daughter and saying, "HELP MY UNBELIEF!" Being human - we might get huffy - or walk on by. Not Jesus. Bubbbeye Peter in the glug glug - how Funny!!! Man, what a hoot. No Jesus is Real. He allows us to be as we are. And Jesus still wants to help us when we have expressed doubt looking into the eyes of Jesus with our "son" (biblical analogy of "IMPORTANT, DIRE PRAYER NEED") - the disciples couldn't heal.

3. We are like Jesus. We can't go where Father God, Abba, is not taking us.

4. Number 3 is dire, right - no this is Good News. Be where God places you.

5. "My Burdens are Light"
And if you say to yourself - 'Hey, you don't know my job, my family, my image, my needs for even Jesus, Hey?" You are missing the point. Jesus is is IS caring your burdens. You are wanting your way. God says the "Work" of mankind is to believe in Him whom God has sent. God is saying He well recognizes that in Christian struggles - God is Still God. He is not worried.

6. Jesus tells us to live a worry free life. How? How would you if you had the type of social worker job requiring you to hear endless prayers. Endless problems. You believe you are not in charge. And believe in the principal of the parent who's child went to college. Famous Mom Dad Camp Granada - send Help. College counselors will tell you, this is True. "It's sooo Bad. The cow won't give milk. The barn burned. There was an earthquake. A fire. Gas was out of the car. The Alarm didn't sound. I was at the Hospital. I tried." And this truly is very sincere. No con. A cry of the heart.

The answer is Jesus. We needed to tell Him and be heard. The Truth is - Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. If we try to carry someone else's burdens - we are not going to receive the GRACE God gives them to do their lives. His Strength meeting the need. His Plan. His Goodness. His Willingness. God is Good.

Sometimes we get within a Nano of being able to be worry free. But we are a Traitor if we don't pick up the burden of worry. Cold hearted. Really. Really. Really? God told us we are allowed to believe God is in Charge. To be quiet if we need to be quiet. To be angry if we are upset. And anger is ok. We just have to not sin while we are honestly angry. God gets Angry. And people say, "Surely God would not get angry." Om. God is God.

Father God goes further.
Father God says I am the God of Love.
Father God says I am God of Encouragement.
Father God says I am God of Hope.

7. What do we do when we feel anxiety from all over and feel depressed?

Say the Lord's Prayer. Slowly. Savor each word and verse. Probably - you are going to feel better. And if you don't - then live the time and the season God has given you.

The fastest way to have less oppression internally - help someone else. Care for someone else.

8. Hurricanes. And in the storms of Life. Tears appear. People have sorrow for you. People move over. And you feel weaker yet. Usually all people have tear ducts. And no one has discovered how to put on armor for these tear ducts. So Father God allows us to have emotions. The Bible says we have discomfort to find comfort to be able to comfort others.

9. God Values You.
God is personal. He heals and the stories of the Bible are events of one life to Father God.
Jesus finds a quiet spot away from the multitudes who follow Him to heal a blind man.
Jesus finds a quiet spot to heal the deaf man and takes time to show him as a deaf man what the process is.

10. Process.
The Prodigal son did not take place in 30 minutes.
Time to plan the sale of an inheritance. Deal with the shame- at the time - of a sale. Time to travel. Time to sink. Time to wallow in sink. Time to work. Time to heal. Time to have the idea God would be willing. Time to travel. Time to be seen from a distance. Time to allow the Father to process. Time to Rejoice. Time to be run to by a Willing God. Time to really Rejoice. Time to hear the comment, the comment. Time to deal with Joy rising anyway. Live past the comment, the comment. Time to Rejoice. Time to decide to Rejoice. Time to savor the miracle of return of Love. Time to self decide to Love and stay with Love. Time to be strengthened by Love. Time to hold on to the Truth. Time to deal with the realities. Time to stay with Love, hate is too great a burden to bear. Truth arrived. Hold on to the Truth of Jesus Christ.

Abba, Our Abba.
Our Very Own Abba. Abba.

Trouble and emotion - unwanted and pressed in arrives. What shall we do?

Call upon Jesus Christ. Our Wonderful Savior. Jesus is willing to Mediate. Jesus brings us straight into the Throne of God the Almighty. Straight into His arms. Our God. His Universe. His Heaven. His Heart. His Love for us. Jesus our Confidence in Abba. Our Savior.

We need more of the Holy Spirit? Why? We decide how we will react to the comment, the comment. And the attitude, the attitude of not living in Heaven. We actually need the Holy Spirit to do like the Long Life John the Disciple found. To find the Wisdom, the bounce, the recovery, the forgiveness, the Grace, the Strength of the Almighty God to press on for the Prize of Jesus Christ. In all circumstances.

We need more Holy Spirit in all those we Love. When we persist in Believing in Jesus
- we will go Far.
So much farther than we ever thought in the Plans of God our Father.
God's Plans are more than we can ever imagine.

Bigger than the disaster of Hurricane Harvey. Bigger than our storm. Begin with the Lord's Prayer and stay with Jesus Christ.

Today I chewed out someone today. And then I felt badly and went to read wisdom of our ages on helping others and helping our self. Everything I read said, "Oops, you made a mistake." But I was honest and not over the top. Finally the talk was a finished, with more conversation. A circle and by being honest and allowing mercy, Truth was reached. Peace. Love. I read the next article. Love others as you want to be loved. There is the answer. Thank You, Father God, for Your Help.

Help us to be merciful, and Jesus to receive mercy.

We need more of God, Abba. Holy Spirit. Thank You, Abba.

We put Jesus in the ones we Love. Their Love and Jesus directly in their Soul where they Love.
We light the Light of Jesus Christ and put these cares where He dwells.
We offer Joy, Love, Peace and Healing in the Name of Jesus for the people He has given us.

We think upon the multitudes who Believe Jesus is God and ask Him for help. These prayers circle our world. We ask for more Heaven on earth. And put forth our communities, Churches and Nation before Jesus and in His Love.

We ask for All of God's Fulfillment of His Good Word in our lives.

Thank Jesus. Amen.

John 1 ~ In Him was Life, and that Life was the Light of all mankind

John 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.

10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.

We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

15 (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”)

16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

19 Now this was John’s testimony when the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. 20 He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, “I am not the Messiah.” 21 They asked him, “Then who are you? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.”

22 Finally they said, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”

23 John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’”

24 Now the Pharisees who had been sent 25 questioned him, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Messiah, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?” 26 “I baptize with water,” John replied, “but among you stands one you do not know. 27 He is the one who comes after me, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.” 28 This all happened at Bethany on the other side of the Jordan, where John was baptizing.

29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’ 31 I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that he might be revealed to Israel.”

32 Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. 33 And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ 34 I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.” 35 The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. 36 When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”

37 When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. 38 Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?”

They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?”

39 “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.”

So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was about four in the afternoon.40 Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus.

41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus.

Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter).

43 The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, “Follow me.”

44 Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. 45 Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

46 “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.

“Come and see,” said Philip.

47 When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.”

48 “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked.

Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.”

49 Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.”

50 Jesus said, “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.” 51 He then added, “Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man.”

Before Abraham Jesus Is

Proverbs 8

I was there when he set the heavens in place,
when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,
28 when he established the clouds above
and fixed securely the fountains of the deep,
29 when he gave the sea its boundary
so the waters would not overstep his command,
and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.
30 Then I was constantly at his side.
I was filled with delight day after day,
rejoicing always in his presence,
31 rejoicing in his whole world
and
delighting in mankind.

For the first few years of my life, for four years we had a living room wall, practically all glass, that overlooked the Mediterranean and Nice, France. And a decade later,  we lived for four years in the beautiful hills/mountains of Cameron County, Pennsylvania and saw some massive snow. Lived for 4 years in College Station in the plains of Central Texas. 17 years later we returned to the Teton mountains of Wyoming and saw Yellowstone's wonders of God's creation. What does all this say?

There is nothing on earth that is as large as an ocean.

To stand and view the ocean is to understand the scope of our lives.

There is no one on earth who could create the ocean. Even today, if you've crossed the ocean in a rough sea, you realize how insignificant life, even a team of people, can be working to cross the ocean in a large ship.

Look at this massive storm. And we see some of the creation we read about in Genesis and again in the Chapters of Noah.

And in this we will find some who will see an absent God. This is not so. God gave us Jesus who just bluntly said in this life there will be trouble.

Why isn't this Heaven on earth? If you could give life for eternity as God, why wouldn't you, as a deity, want to see what a soul would do to present this soul to the Father?

I'd offered this news to different people and some are disgusted. We can't be sun and the warmth and the rain and the answer. God alone makes people grow. We can harm people by telling them they have failed. The Bible tells us the Fullness of God is far wiser. Jesus waited even on His own Brothers and sisters, who seemed to be clueless. People say things like a loving God would not create harm or hell. We never were promised a rose garden through life. And if you take the time to read the wild Storm of Revelation - you encounter a God who mourns the loss of the ones who would never love Heaven. Would never love the goodness of God. Who would want to rule something else. There is sadness for the one who would never love and is never coming to eternity. The Parables of loss by the ones who would not attend the Feast of God called as an analogy - a wedding.

Why would we see this Hurricane as less than another feat of Life.

We have been reading the Prayer Requests of earnest Christians who are the Beloved of God.

God is so very, very close to all of us.

Today asking the parents in Heaven to know, the Grace and Power of Jesus, that the very grown child they loved, grew up more wisely than the parents saw in their life time. Love known. Forgiveness known. Earnest family child to parent - love coming to fulfillment. Let the circle be unbroken - by and by Lord by and by. For the next younger generation, to be healed and find the joy of having a household of marriage and children. What a loving, loving prayer and a circle. Beautiful. So Beautiful. So of Jesus. Jesus would Love to tell these parents this Good News in Heaven. You know this with me.

My husband, who went to Social Security when it is so unpleasant to face mortality and illness to get disability. And he said he wanted to sit quietly and not pray. Until the card for a girl child, with her name, we won't forget. She has had 4 concussions this year and is afraid. Has given up her sport, is in pain. Her mother is in pain. And this my husband said with tears, he'd pray for.

For the prayer card of the woman who says her children need prayer and for herself. They have lost and grieve terribly their beloved father and husband. The massive grief.

Prayers for adult children to be saved in college. For Jesus. Two of these prayer cards.

Prayers from the adult children in college for the parent left behind to have Love. Not to be lonely or alone. Blessings of companionship, friendship and love.

Prayers for spouses to support their spouse's work - to be joy to that spouse.

Prayers for teachers who are supposed to be silent about their faith - to be seen as Lights of Jesus.

Some of these prayers are Hurricanes to these people, Beloved of God's.

This Hurricane - we will all live a Hurricane sometime. And when we get there - we want the seeds we sow - to be the blossoms of an adult Child many years later saying, "Jesus tell my parents - I see they did this right. I see now. I hope what they gave me - my children will have. Tell them I see now. Ask them to see me as young. Ask them to see me today as grateful and loving."

Hurricanes in life are told to us by Jesus. Once He called this, "Days will come." And in this storm, Jesus says we can plant seeds to last generations.

Jesus is going to calm the storm.
Jesus is going to calm the storm.
Jesus is going to calm the storm.

Isaiah 6:3
And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."

They called upon Jesus they were perishing. Jesus saves them. Jesus overcomes the world.

Abba, our Abba,

We pray for Jesus to be with us as we confidently approach You, Abba. We pray for an increase of the Holy Spirit.

Abba, lifting up people in a Hurricane of life. People broadcasting from the storm. Especially the people in cars facing this Hurricane. For these prayers. For these dear souls asking for others to know Your assurance.

For the Gospel presented in these prayers. The Truth - I'm ok I know Jesus - help the others who are lost.

Mark 4

2 And he was teaching them many things in parables, and in his teaching he said to them: 3 “Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed...

36 And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. 38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” 39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 He said to them, “Why are you so afraid?"

Abba, we know Your Love. Even the wind and the sea obey Jesus. You are our Hope and Future. You are Good.

In You, we trust our Loved ones. The people You gave us.
The cares we have. The cares we share with our people. The cares of all who pray knowing prayer continues all over this planet today.
The cares of our Nation, believing You love us. We will trust You and see Your Love.

In Jesus. Amen.

John 3 ~ The Kingdom of God

John 3

1 Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”

3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”

5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’

8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

9 “How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.

10 “You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things?

11 Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? 13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.

14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 1

7 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him.

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.

21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized. 23 Now John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water, and people were coming and being baptized. 24 (This was before John was put in prison.) 25 An argument developed between some of John’s disciples and a certain Jew over the matter of ceremonial washing.

26 They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan—the one you testified about—look, he is baptizing, and everyone is going to him.”

27 To this John replied, “A person can receive only what is given them from heaven. 28 You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Messiah but am sent ahead of him.’ 29 The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. 30 He must become greater; I must become less.”

31 The one who comes from above is above all;
the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth.

The one who comes from heaven is above all.

32 He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. 33 Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful.

34 For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.

35 The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

This Passage clearly explains the Majesty of God's Son.

Jesus is sometimes condensed as a Politician. Jesus is God.

Jesus sat and Nicodemus, the powerful and rich, came at night to keep life easy for Nicodemus. Jesus knew Nicodemus as well as Nathaniel under the fig tree of John 1. Intimately.

Immediately, Jesus is very frank with Nicodemus. A very unusual move for a man who is not God. Jesus has never feared mankind. Jesus is God.

And Jesus begins to testify to what he has seen and heard. Nicodemus accepts Jesus is honest. Jesus is Himself. And Nicodemus' true self - his soul, accepts Jesus.  Nicodemus - we see in the Gospels -  has eternal life with Jesus.

What we see of this conversation - is the frank conversations Jesus will always have with us. Jesus speaks to the core and heart - what we really are is a soul. Jesus speaks to the eternal we are. Jesus reaches the moment of the conversation explaining what is important.

Jesus is telling Nicodemus how to present himself to God allowing Nicodemus to see - God is for Nicodemus. God is truthful. God has amazing depths of Grace allowing us to begin again.

Abba, our Father, Abba,

We ask always for You to dwell in us. More Holy Spirit and more of Jesus our mediator in our prayer life! More of You for those we love. More of You for the people You have given us.

Nicodemus discovered in finding Jesus, more of Jesus is good. More please.

Abba, You have told us "Emerald Green" is Your Favorite Color.

We are about to find a lot more green in Texas after Hurricane Harvey comes through. We pray for the unique weather we find in areas all over the world to be shared. When we share weather, floods have ceased. I remember Texas prayed to share some of the rain of Louisiana's Historic 20 Parish flood and their flood started immediately to ease. We pray with humor to share this good rain all over Texas, Bastrop (we have not forgotten to pray for you, Bastrop - forever fire free we pray), Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana and Mississippi.

We give You thanks for people who remind us to evacuate with an eye on letting the nearest to the coast evacuate first. ABC 13's Travis Herzog reminded us all to Love our Neighbor and let the coast evacuate first. Later counties as needed. I am grateful, grateful, grateful our County looks pretty peaceful in the projections. Bless the others.

God Bless Travis Herzog who reminded us in Hurricane Ike the barometric pressure caused premature labor and delivery. The valor of the Galveston hospital employees moving the weak and ill during the storm, the elderly and the newborns. As we saw this in Louisiana too.

Blessing the memory of the thousands of people who helped in Louisiana, Mississippi and the Houston Churches and Montgomery Churches who fed the Hurricane Katrina evacuees for months and months and months and months and with thousands of Church casseroles for the thousand's of God's Beloved in the football stadiums. God's Beloved work to help others.

We look forward to this wonder of God in the willingness of Cooking Christians - not to repeat this Blessing again, frankly, Father God! What a wonder that was and is in Your Sight, Father.

The Glory of God and the Name of Jesus cover us come Heaven or High Water - Texas.

We have absolutely no need for Hell or High Water. Away, away. Protection for us all in Jesus Christ we pray.

Lifting up Hope, Faith and Love for those we love and all the people God has given us.
Lifting High our cares to our Abba who Loves us.
Resting with assurance. Jesus is for us.

Having Joy knowing the prayers of God's Beloved cover this world with God's good pleasure.
Believing in the good days ahead for His Faithful and for our Nation as we Trust in God.

We are God's People for His will and His Good Works.

Blessed be God our Lord God for His Plans. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Psalm 115 ~ to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!

Psalm 115

1 Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!

2 Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?"

3 Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.

4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands. 5 They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes, but do not see. 6 They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell. 7 They have hands, but do not feel; feet, but do not walk; and they do not make a sound in their throat. 8 Those who make them become like them; so do all who trust in them.

9 O Israel, trust in the LORD!
He is their help and their shield.

10 O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD!
He is their help and their shield.

11 You who fear the LORD,
trust in the LORD!
He is their help and their shield.

12 The LORD has remembered us;
he will bless us;
he will bless the house of Israel;
he will bless the house of Aaron;
13 he will bless those who fear the LORD,
both the small and the great.

14 May the LORD give you increase,
you and your children!

15 May you be blessed by the LORD,
who made heaven and earth! 1

6 The heavens are the LORD's heavens,
but the earth he has given to the children of man.

17 The dead do not praise the LORD,
nor do any who go down into silence.

18 But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and forevermore. Praise the LORD!

Oh Come all Ye Faithful
Joyful and Triumphant O Come Ye
to the Risen Lord Christ.

Come and be Thankful
Born the King of Angels.

O Come Let us Adore Him
Christ Jesus Our Lord God

Thank You, Abba,
For Your Willingness.

Willingness our Jesus would pray with us. His Willingness to increase the Holy Spirit in us.

We do not serve a God who asks us to cling to something uncertain and unknowable.

We Serve Jesus Christ King Victorious.
Only Son of God, our Father.
Father who has given us the Mercy to be Covered by the Highest Name of Jesus Christ God.

God would wrap us in His arms. Loving Care.
God who tells us He is Dependable, Loving, Steadfast.
Holy. Good.
We approach Father God in confidence He has invited us.

And tells us to trust and believe His Will for us is a Hope and Future.

God would tell us in the Gospels He does not ask us to Run after Him, The Prodigal Father runs to us. Welcoming.

We pray not in despair and decline, we pray with hope and expectation. Not taking from God our Father.  Seeing His willingness. Leaning into the Goodness of God.

Being blessed by prayers for others.

Abba,

We give You our Loved Ones to secure for Your Love and glory.

We give You our cares and the cares of the people You have given us.

And we will rest knowing Your Love.

We give You the cares of our communities and Churches.

We give You our prayer for Your Will on earth to be as in Heaven. Bring us more of You here in this life.

We give You our prayers for our peaceful Nation and for the peace of all who pray to You, Father.

And we will rest knowing Your Love.

To your name , Jesus, give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!

The Peace of Jesus. Amen.

Acts 23 ~ wrote a letter to this effect

Acts 22

"17 “When I had returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, I fell into a trance 18 and saw Jesus saying to me, ‘Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly"

Horses were sent for Elijah. What would Jesus send for Paul to move with haste?

Acts 23

23 Then he called two of the centurions and said, “Get ready two hundred soldiers, with seventy horsemen and two hundred spearmen to go as far as Caesarea at the third hour of the night. 24 Also provide mounts for Paul to ride and bring him safely to Felix the governor.” 25 And he wrote a letter to this effect.

As I have said for a couple of days on the Scripture for Today Blog - I have been sad for my adult son moving to Michigan. I have dry eye and yesterday learned that weeping makes my eyes sore. And embarrassed to be weepy eyed.

I look at the Bible in the early part of the day and write down what creates a stir in me. Monday I wrote down a prayer request and went on with my day.

Almost immediately, Edward's voice, created a 'Tone' and said, "I have BAD NEWS." Edward had heard a 'clunk' and thought it was the phone charger. Hours before, it was Not. What had actually happened was a bottle of Avocado Oil had turned the needlepoint carpet I'd purchased from the funds of the Guardianship for an Elderly Cousin was now black with oil about 2 feet by 2 feet. (Something of interest, my cousin Maxine's father was William C. Graves, who was Majority Leader of the Texas Senate for 16 years and then was Governor of Texas for a day. The Governor had left the state with the Lt. Governor.) And this rug is fairly treasured.

We let my younger son really have 'it' for spilling paint on this rug before. He reminded us at the time... "I am Your SON." That paint is still on the rug - cleaned up some. And we let him continue as our son.

So I looked at Edward - who is a living, walking, Jesus miracle for Frontal, Temporal, Parietal damaged caused Dementia - who functions WELL - and thought, "Forget the rug, Be Nice to EDWARD." Who is alive and functioning and based up this being year 6 - should be Aphasic and bedridden. And found I had the grace to say, "Let's get a cup of coffee and buy some Dawn Dishwashing Detergent and remove this oil." Edward didn't think the oil would come out - the rug was black. Really.

My younger son, Edward and I got in the car and our Springer Spaniel was hopping up and down in the garage with anticipation. Edward was dour and said no dog. I reminded I'd been very merciful to Edward and let the dog come with us. Edward immediately said our dog could go and sit on the patio for Coffee. We had our cups of Coffee and little 2 or 3 year old child wandered by with one sandal on and crying like I had been crying. Her dad offered our dog as a pet-the-dog opportunity. Nooooo. And he started to carry her. She was just a little bit calmed down.

Ooops. No sandal. And the dad and went back to look with still broken hearted, crying, Little Girl. But as this little sweet faced, little girl passed the dog again, she waved at him. And still was broken hearted crying.

Back they came with two sandals and still crying. Dad looked glum now too. Really glum. So I said, "Come over here, honey and pet the doggie." Dad looked like being surprised in the middle of this was Not Very Agreeable. I explained she had waved at the dog. By now she was wriggling down to pet our Springer Spaniel - who is gorgeous and looks like a stuffed animal. Dad was surprised and we offered her instructions like, 'It's a very, very important idea to ask the dog's owner first. The dog might not be nice". And I added = he can growl unless he gets to smell your hand first. So our formerly crying, sweet little girl put out her hand. Instant pretty dog and pretty little girl love. Tears stopped. And I said to this little lady, "It's a good and very grand day when you are carried by your Dad when you cry!!!" She immediately looked all the way up, up, up at her dad. Eye contact. And little lady began to be delighted and chortle.

Dad swooped down, picked up his little daughter and held on. His little girl just laughed right into leaning into his face. Both were soothed.

I felt better too.

When i got home, I realized what the Bible Reading had been and saw my prayer for the day:

"Carry me, Father God, I think I'm going to need Your help today. Please. Amen in Jesus."

Mercy had set up more mercy, leading to answered Prayer.

We had purchased the Dawn dishwashing detergent. Why Dawn? A woman kept phoning USA Senators during the Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska. She insisted Dawn would clear up all grease. I do believe because she was so insistent the wildlife was cleaned with Dawn. The Senators had thought she was a hoot. But at that much insistence - believed her enough to comment on this and wildlife was helped.

So I bought the Dawn and took the rug into the shower. Scrubbed vigorously. Looked better. And then sprayed with Rubbing Alcohol and washed the thing down and turned on the ceiling fan. I went and told Edward he could continue to live, because this looked better. And we waited for the rug to dry. I figured we'd need to repeat 8, 10, 12 times. And now with one wash and scrub - the rug looks as good as it did before.

Abba,

Jesus, pray with us today. Our thanks, Father. And Holy Spirit dwell richly in our bodies and lives, we ask in Jesus.

Today my Bible was open to Philippians 4, I read Philippians 3 late last night

Philippians 4
18 I have all I need and more, now that I have received your gifts from Epaphroditus.

They are a sweet smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.

19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. 20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Father with Joy,
We lift up our cares to You.
We lift up our Loved ones to You.
We lift up our their needs and cares.
We lift up the Joy, Hope, Peace, Love of knowing You as God to our Loved Ones.
We lift up the Joy, Hope, Peace, Love of knowing You as God to the people You have given us.
We lift up the Nation under God's Authority and Mercy.
We lift up the world covered in Prayer as Jesus and Our Father are asked for Their Love and care.

And in lifting Up, Up, Up these Treasures - we know Your Joy.

You are a Good, Good Father.

To our God and Father be glory forever and ever.

Amen in .... JESUS our GOD!!!

PS So we told the rug story to our friend James Cain, who said God is Amazing. They went to Guam (turns out Guam is very, very pretty and not just something which sounds like you wouldn't want to eat). James said they had a family reunion in Guam because his brother is working a marine biology job in Guam. His brother proposed to his girl friend by swimming underwater 30' and holding up a sign asking if she wanted to marry him (in the glass viewing portion of the fish tank.) And that was good news for her affirmative answer because the whole reason for the family reunion was the surprise Church Wedding he'd worked on. Sunday before the wedding, the whole visiting family went to Church. And as the Church was in session they had 4 point something earthquake. And continued Church. As Church let out, every car in the parking lot had been moved to the right 5 feet. None of the cars were touching or harmed. God should be applauded.

To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen

May the Lord God Bless and Keep You ~ Numbers Six

Man, I started my day out with the most inspiring, awesome, amazing, spectacular thing - bear with me getting to the point.

Mankind has been looking at Eclipses for Millenniums.
And the day the Eclipse came with an Earthquake...

Transcend
Exceed
The Overshadowing of the Holy Spirit

Eclipse. We look up to the Brightness of the sun. Zechariah said after meeting Gabriel, Jesus Christ is the Light of the World. Necessary. Sustaining.

Sustaining...

Yesterday, I did not feel like praying. I miss my oldest son moved almost to Canada in Michigan - going to Law School. When to let go of your child, for the good news he does not have to daily make a living dealing with the elderly hurt on the job. With the 'one good lawsuit and never work again crowd'. With the working but unable to comprehend directions due to unintelligence and/or hurt. To say 'no' mostly. Oh, the elbows out get ahead crowd. Some people have the ability to do this job with real understanding no hard feelings. My son did an excellent job, but was hoping for different work. My husband summed this up and said, "We want our children to get ahead, we want them to have the ability to do their lives, his job was hard for him. We set them on the course and we let go, to let them. This is Love."

So about then you are asked to pray with Church. Ok - see the point. Pray more when you feel like praying less.

What's Heaven? A Reunion. Eclipsing Life.

What if,
What if,
What if - - -

You had the opportunity to put your prayer before God in writing so you KNEW that of the 85% praying people in the USA - this prayer Got the Attention of God the Lord, The Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth. God of All Things. God of Power... God of Light.

Not just another 'arrow prayer'. One God could see. Official Prayer.

And you watched the people and saw their faces of great care submitting their prayer to - Jesus the Lord.

And the next day you were asked to pray for 20 days - ok start at what - 6 a.m. And you were asked to take a handful of these anonymous prayers up and pray with them to Jesus Christ Himself.

Now this is an Eclipse. The other side.

Getting to feel the aroma of God's People asking Their Beloved God about their Cares.

The Aroma of Prayer.

I had to bawl my eyes out.

The Beloved of God feel this:

With God, really basically I'm ok. Things are going to work out.

HOWEVER, Dear God - my child has  needs for their heart - their mind - their eyes - their soul - their lives - You, Jesus!!! With Jesus they will be ok. Help my children!

See with me, again: "With Jesus, I am ok. I hurt for the one's who are suffering in a lost place."

The prayer of the child's handwriting asking for their Dad to Love Jesus.

The generous prayers. GENEROUS. Over FLOWING PRAYER.

Prayer's for the Nation's School Children. Safety. To feel Loved.

Prayers for ADULT SIBLINGS. "My Sister's Marriage." "My Elderly Parent's Marriage."

Prayers for finances for the elderly parents.

Prayers for the Nation to know Love and Peace.

And what were a lot of the prayers for "LOVE." To be married. To pray for a spouse.

All these prayers added up to discovering AGAIN why God loves mankind.

A few asked for direction about jobs. But mostly for Hope, Faith and Love.

For the faces of the people putting down Prayers. These really are intense. But also intense because these prayers are going to - THE LORD GOD.

The most hurt was Divorce. Families split by Love splintering. Finding a way forward. Praying God to heal their souls. Balm them. And these prayers were directed for adult children of Divorce. And the love prayed for was very, very intense.

Father - God. God the Father. Our Father. Telling us He is Father. He gave us Numbers 6. God as Father would really want these praying people WITH HIM.

God the Father would be SO PROUD OF HIS PEOPLE. Where they put their Love and prayers.

Numbers 6

The Lord God is Going to Bless and Keep You.
SHINE upon you. A Father who would be so very, very proud of your hearts for the Loves of your Life.

His Home, His Kingdom, His Heart to these loving, loving, loving prayers.
His Promises are Real. True. He is Gracious to us. Thank You God for what You Give. The Holy Spirit living in these souls.
God provides every good thing we have. Love, Faith and Hope we give back to God with Thanksgiving Trusting Him to make a difference in lives

Father God tells us we cannot please Him without faith. These prayers were Faith.
GOD OF LOVE - OH - How can He not treasure these Prayers. OUR GOD DOES TELL US WE ARE HIS BELOVED.

May our Father God Lift up His Face and Smile upon us. He Does.

May Our Father God imbibe in us, abiding in us, His Peace. His understanding that for the faithful all things work together for their Good. Even if this is a future working soul - working for His Purpose. The VAST Graciousness of God. The Steadfast Love of God is not worried, He Knows the Way, the Truth, the Life. He is assured His Promises are For His Beloved.

God's Peace is far, far, far from boring. God's Peace must be Joy reading Love in all these Prayers. Seeing the hope they have in Him and for themselves. Their heart to again and again and again have a gracious and meaningful path to bring others into their assurance about Jesus. God is in them - they are ok - help the lost. Peace for the Nation. Peace on those so unsettled. Peace and Love for others.

Our Mighty God dwelling in the Holy Spirit in them. Seeking for others to have an anchor and a hope and future in Jesus.

Covered in the Name of Jesus. Blessing others.

We are so fortunate to have Life and to live the Adventure of God leading us Home.
We will see His Word Fulfilled. Today with eyes of faith and in the days to come.

Realizing again, why God Loves His People.
God saves the world in Jesus Christ.
AMEN iN JESUS.

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
