When my parents were young, my father decided, because we watched Walter Cronkite, to explain to me about the Vietnam War. I was in 2nd grade.
The war was going on too long. France had decided it wasn't an important reason and our government felt we were keeping Freedom and destroying Communism, where everyone is told to live in fear and want and stay with 'One Opinion.'
So, every slice of the opinion was valuable. 1. Honor the Nation. 2. Honor Freedom 3. Honor Those Who Bravely, Sacrificially FIGHT for FREEDOM. 4. Pray for the soldiers to have equipment, safety, their backs for each other. 5. Honor the Veterans returning from WAR. 6. Understand, the WAR is a feeble reason. It isn't liked for the blood and the death it requires. 7. Understand those who chose not to fight. Fighting stops. Not a life for a reason that isn't strong. 8. Understand the anger of those who have lost their beloved sons. 9. Believe those who died were HEROES and BRAVE for very many freedoms.
10. Be Merciful to all with strong opinions.
My father believed in finding the Reason and having Mercy. Speak up. Stand your beliefs up.
How sad it was for children to see this on the news.
Ercot Electircal Grid
serving Texas announces that just a temperature climb in the mid 80s, may fail.
Nationally, TESLA is down. With ALL Electrical Car sales. And COAL stock has gone UP.
We watched the Former and Republican NOMINEE President of the United States face another trial in the city that defied his 8th Amendment Rights and had no victim. During an election year. The Charges go back to 2017, but NOW is the trial during ELECTION TIME. No one is happy about this.
I have met a few Immigrants. And 2 were from the U.K. And all of them are furtive. And afraid.
Because no one has welcomed them for almost 4 years. No welcome. I know an immigrant picked up by the police and put in jail for 2 days. Because this isn't a freedom idea, really, really, really, really. But it did cost him in the tens of thousands $$$$$$, in court, and will be a make-or-break time. He may have to leave.
With the increase in work force numbers: Local banners asking to hire have fallen from $17 per hour in 2020. To $11 after, after, after "Historic Inflation." People I know, in white-collar jobs in Downtown Houston, with pretty impressive, prestigious, college degrees, have been told to pick: 1) Work 30 hours a week without benefits. 2) 2nd choice, take a 20% pay cut. 3) Expect a pay cut of 15% and no benefits. His wife works for a very profitable company and she now works 75 to 80 hours a week. "For the time being." THIS is the Wave Sweeping THE NATION.
I went to my suburban grocery store today.
And for the first time, Immigrants were causing a stir:
1. One very well-dressed, couture immigrant with her daughter in an elite University sweatshirt, was told she wasn't in the proper line and get back, get back by a group of fuss ups almost pressed up together. Fake line. Anger issues being worked out. She was merely trying to buy groceries. Buying Groceries. Obviously, not in the nation for more than a month. Not the right Texas weather Couture. And the elite sweatshirt wasn't warm weather either. Anger issues and the store management was literally frozen into paralysis.
2. Right outside the store doors. A young, tall woman was clinging to her two children like the dangers were upon them. Afraid.
(I grew up in the 5th largest city in the United States of America, I do not carry cash and I have been in the middle of Mexico begging and dying and begging. I remember the expose done in the Dallas Morning News about recognizable beggars who make $100g a year. I recently saw Houston clamp down on a group of 25 beggars asking for Hospital Donations, supposedly, "going to a child in the news with extreme medical issues". The 25 beggars were the same as the Dallas man, making big money for their con and ease. 25 Arrests.)
(We DELIBERATELY give to Vision Trust for children in need with their credentials showing the reward of the funds. Deliberately. We give to our Church. And local, well run, animal shelters. Wounded Warriors. We have done field trips to the Homeless and been almost attacked, escaped due to extreme running away.)
BACK To, Right outside the store doors. A young, tall woman was "Clinging" to her two children like the dangers were upon them. Afraid. And the people handed them money. She did not like seeing me walk past, and continued to talk to me in a language I did not understand. I do not carry cash.
In watching this, I observed this tall, tall woman in $300 in 3 pairs of brand new, "shining" white shoes. Expensive skirt. New, great haircuts. Brand new, 3 Brand new shirts. Not even sure she isn't new to the nation. This is someone who is practicing - one thing. Begging.
Give Deliberately.
Where the funds are well spent. Give where HELP will be Given.
Stay Merciful.
Even in grocery lines. We do not know if they were here for medical issues and have someone at home dying. Or her elite Sweatshirt daughter will create a new medical remedy to save lives.
If our lamps are going to decide
to face interest rates
gasoline prices
UTILITY PRICES
HOUSING PRICES
We will want our HEARTS
to stay WARM
and
be deliberately
Merciful
and Giving.
SEEK THE TRUTH
SEEK THE TRUTH
SEEK THE TRUTH
1 John 4:1
Beloved,
do not believe every spirit,
but test the spirits
to see
whether they are from God,
for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Matthew 10:16
Behold,
I am sending you out as sheep
in the midst of wolves,
so be wise as serpents
and innocent as doves.
James 4:17
So whoever knows the right thing to do
and fails to do it,
for him it is sin.
Colossians 2:8
See to it
that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit,
according to human tradition,
according to the elemental spirits of the world,
and not according
to
Christ.
Ephesians 5:15-17
Look carefully then how you walk,
not as unwise but as wise,
making the best use of the time,
because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be foolish,
but understand
what the will of the Lord
is.
Galatians 5:16
But I say, walk by the Spirit,
and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Abba, Father,
Almighty God, our heavenly Father,
guide the nations of the world
into the way of justice and truth,
and establish among
them that peace which is the fruit of righteousness,
that they
may become the kingdom of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Eternal God,
in whose perfect kingdom no sword is drawn
but the sword of righteousness,
no strength known but the
strength of love:
So mightily spread abroad your Spirit,
that
all peoples
may be gathered under the banner
of the Prince of Peace,
as children of one Father;
to whom be dominion
and
glory, now and forever.
Amen.
Dwell in us, Father,
we ask in the Highest Name of Jesus.
Dwell, fully, in those we love
Help us to seek You
first
and we will finish well
in Jesus Christ.
We pray
Peace
for Israel
and Your Good Creation.
