Mark 11 ~ Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom

All of Israel Knows. Luke 24

Mark 11

Now when they drew near to Jerusalem,
to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus[a] sent two of his disciples 2 and said to them, “Go into the village in front of you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it. 3 If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it and will send it back here immediately.’”

4 And they went away and found a colt tied at a door outside in the street, and they untied it.

5 And some of those standing there said to them, “What are you doing, untying the colt?” 6 And they told them what Jesus had said, and they let them go. 7 And they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it.

8 And many spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields.

9 And those who went before and those who followed were shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! 10 Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!”

11 And he entered Jerusalem and went into the temple. And when he had looked around at everything, as it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.

12 On the following day,
when they came from Bethany, he was hungry. 13 And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14 And he said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard it.

15 And they came to Jerusalem.
And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons.

16 And he would not allow anyone to carry anything through the temple.

17 And he was teaching them and saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.”

18 And the chief priests and the scribes heard it and were seeking a way to destroy him, for they feared him, because all the crowd was astonished at his teaching.

19 And when evening came they went out of the city.

20 As they passed by in the morning,
they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. 21 And Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.”

22 And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

27 And they came again to Jerusalem.
And as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders came to him, 28 and they said to him, “By what authority are you doing these things, or who gave you this authority to do them?”

29 Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. 30 Was the baptism of John from heaven or from man? Answer me.”

31 And they discussed it with one another, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ 32 But shall we say, ‘From man’?”—they were afraid of the people, for they all held that John really was a prophet. 33 So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.”

And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

We notice right away, Jesus does things immediately as God. And as Jesus teaches, He gives time for the people to absorb His Teaching. The Timing of God is perfect. Within God's Plan.

The Holy Spirit puts days, paragraphs and Chapters together.

What could possibly be missing? Mary, James, Jude, Simon, Joses and Jesus' sisters.

Why has God put these events together? What makes the Chapter a whole other than a timeline? Jesus has put an amazing array of "Love Jesus Because..." Events Together. Kingdom, Power and Glory. With a sprig of rare damnation. We know Jesus loved figs. And Jesus was not given to rash statements like Moses. Jesus has all but done cartwheels to have the people see Jesus is the Son of God. We could name this Chapter, "No Sign Will Be Given, However Lots and Lots of Signs." Or Maybe "The Love Jesus Because Chapter."

Jesus put His Family together again.
We would not always be missing Jesus Mother and Brothers and Sisters. The Gospels lead to redemption and renewal - whole of holiness. Acts 1, Acts 2, 1 Corinthians 9:5. Scripture to pray about and Expect God's Answer.

What would James, Jesus' own Brother have to say about this Title if we asked James to name Mark 11?

God, Who Gives Generously to All ---- James 1:5 ESV
“God, who gives to all generously” —James 1:5 NASB
“God, that giveth to all men liberally” —James 1:5 KJV
“God, who gives to all liberally” —NKJV

1500 times in the Bible, God defines Himself. Explains Himself. In Mark 11, Jesus Gives Generously For All.

Micah 5 ~ Ancient of Days †

Micah 5

5 Now muster your troops, O daughter of troops;
siege is laid against us;
with a rod they strike the judge of Israel
on the cheek.

2 But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah,
who are too little to be among the clans of Judah,
from you shall come forth for me
one who is to be ruler in Israel,
whose coming forth is from of old,
from ancient days.

3 Therefore he shall give them up until the time
when she who is in labor has given birth;
then the rest of his brothers shall return
to the people of Israel.

4 And he shall stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord,
in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.
And they shall dwell secure, for now he shall be great
to the ends of the earth.
5 And he shall be their peace.

When the Assyrian comes into our land
and treads in our palaces,
then we will raise against him seven shepherds
and eight princes of men;
6 they shall shepherd the land of Assyria with the sword,
and the land of Nimrod at its entrances;
and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian
when he comes into our land
and treads within our border.

7 Then the remnant of Jacob shall be
in the midst of many peoples
like dew from the Lord,
like showers on the grass,
which delay not for a man
nor wait for the children of man.

8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the nations,
in the midst of many peoples,
like a lion among the beasts of the forest,
like a young lion among the flocks of sheep,
which, when it goes through, treads down
and tears in pieces, and there is none to deliver.

9 Your hand shall be lifted up over your adversaries,
and all your enemies shall be cut off.
10 And in that day, declares the Lord,
I will cut off your horses from among you
and will destroy your chariots;
11 and I will cut off the cities of your land
and throw down all your strongholds;
12 and I will cut off sorceries from your hand,
and you shall have no more tellers of fortunes;
13 and I will cut off your carved images
and your pillars from among you,
and you shall bow down no more
to the work of your hands;
14 and I will root out your Asherah images from among you
and destroy your cities.

15 And in anger and wrath I will execute vengeance
on the nations that did not obey.

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary
5:1-6 Having showed how low the house of David would be brought, a prediction of the Messiah and his kingdom is added to encourage the faith of God's people. His existence from eternity as God, and his office as Mediator, are noticed. Here is foretold that Bethlehem should be his birthplace. Hence it was universally known among the Jews, Mt 2:5. Christ's government shall be very happy for his subjects; they shall be safe and easy. Under the shadow of protection from the Assyrians, is a promise of protection to the gospel church and all believers, from the designs and attempts of the powers of darkness. Christ is our Peace as a Priest, making atonement for sin, and reconciling us to God; and he is our Peace as a King, conquering our enemies: hence our souls may dwell at ease in him. Christ will find instruments to protect and deliver. Those that threaten ruin to the church of God, soon bring ruin on themselves. This may include the past powerful effects of the preached gospel, its future spread, and the ruin of all antichristian powers. This is, perhaps, the most important single prophecy in the Old Testament: it respects the personal character of the Messiah, and the discoveries of himself to the world. It distinguishes his human birth from his existing from eternity; it foretells the rejection of the Israelites and Jews for a season, their final restoration, and the universal peace to prevail through the whole earth in the latter days. In the mean time let us trust our Shepherd's care and power. If he permits the assault of our enemies, he will supply helpers and assistance for us.

Matthew Henry gave such love to the people surrounding him, he raised orphan family, his kindness turned his in-laws into his own family. The Light of Christ warms the hearts. And his commentaries today are always wonderful, many centuries later.

Matthew Henry's Country Home is Chester. In the 17th century and today:

Notice the round what we call first floor window. This method of building is new again in Victoria, Canada - the old is not done away with and is build upon as foundation. In Dallas, The Highland Park Pharmacy is being kept as a skyscraper is going up on the levels above The Highland Park Pharmacy.

Time has marched on on Matthew Henry's country home. And the commentary of Matthew Henry is without time and beautifully correct.

Why would we need Matthew Henry to tell us what Micah meant? Micah is relaying a vision, a dream or and 'understanding' of the Holy Spirit.

If we look at the timeless quality of Micah jumping from:

Judges to Daniel.

The Birth of Jesus Christ,  the massacre of the infants. Acts 1 and Acts 2 - the reuniting of Mary and Joseph's family

This is the conversation of the Ancient of Days, Almighty God, Creator of All Things. Our Father God.

The Shepherding Quality of David, to Jesus and the great Shepherds of God.

Noah to Assyria.

Jesus with the Children. The Psalms of David and Psalm 65.

The rise and fall of the Davidic Line. And the end of the Davidic Line with lions.

The need for Israel,  Israel of the Old Testament was overcoming the prosperity gospel of the 'philistines' and sacrificed infants. Father God of the mankind, has always considered all of Creation to be His.

The Psychology of having enemies and being your own worst enemy.

If we went on a casual fishing trip with Jesus and cast nets deep into the shining waters of Heaven, we might have many questions to ask Jesus.

What happened to this person and that person. What did they think about in this occasion. What did God think at this circumstance? What is and was the Plan of God?

Jesus is going to answer us.
And I'd bet, just as our brain is not going into Heaven carried under our arm - like a football helmet - Jesus is going to explain using stories our intact soul (after our death) would understand as analogies from His Word even in Heaven. Why? The Nature and ideas of God are without time.

Ancient of Days - Father God
Jesus and our Father will draw up on Ancient Day happenings to explain how puzzles fit together. Long conversations skirting the Universe, the Heavenly Host, the most intimate aspects of our heart and the Vast Plans of God bringing us to His Home and Heart.

I'd bet the conversation would fly from before the Copper Age to the Moon and Venus walks faster than the speed of light or sound.

Micah bounces around like a good talk with Jesus. The Timeless Visitation of the Holy Spirit. Micah who says

As this Day is given to us, we learn more than Justice, to have had Mercy as God walked with us.

We will live and move and have our being with Jesus. Learning exactly...

Why we would kneel before the Father.

Gathering with every family, with our own family in Heaven and on earth.

We will hold in our hearts why we have derived our names.

Our prayers will be filled and fully known as held in His Glorious Riches.

We will find we where Strengthened by His Power in His Word. We will Know from His Spirit to our inner being.

We will find fully Jesus Christ dwelling in our hearts. Our faith will be completed and seen, known and loved. Filled.

Know being rooted and established in love,
fully seeing to have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people,

Yesterday, Today and to Tomorrow holding in our heart's how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ for me. For you.,

We will see clearly this love surpassing knowledge
you will understand our filling to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Give us This Day.

Give us this day, today, filling abundant life with more of Your Will done on earth as in Heaven.

2 Peter 1:19
So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.

Isaiah 58:8
Your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will speedily spring forth; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the LORD will be our rear guard.

Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.

Malachi 4:2
You who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.

Luke 1:78
Because of the tender mercy of our God, With which the Sunrise from on high will visit us,

Romans 13:12
The night is almost gone, and the day is near Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

Alleluia and Amen in Jesus Christ.

Matthew 12:29-32 ~ With Jesus

Matthew 12:29-32

29 Or how can someone enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house.

30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

31 Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

32 And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

Daniel could see so many aspects of The Heavenly Host arranged by Father God. Not more than Jesus had seen and had delighted in His Father's Master Workmanship.

Jesus decided the way to work with God was to pray. And Jesus prayed frequently. Jesus has told us He is our Advocate.

What else is the Good News? Peter had ideas on this, walking with Jesus.

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Abba, Daddy, Pappa ~ if you are concerned for something, someone, have worries - Pappa says discuss this with him.

Why 'Cast' your cares upon Him?

Cast
To put yourself open to possibilities,
to wait with patience,
to find out with expectation

1 Corinthians 15
For “God has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him.

God tells us His Holy Spirit is called The Comfort or Comforter.

2 Corinthians 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of compassion

and the God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our troubles,
so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

When we decide to make life comfortable as possible, we fall into difficulties. Father God created the Exodus as an Act of God to say He is concerned with life as Comfortable, on His Terms.

Let's pray on His terms. God never says a short prayer makes Him displeased. He exalted Solomon for not having harmful prayers, self-centered prayers and defeat prayers. Solomon prayed to be aligned with God. Wisdom.

Abba,

We pray and enter Your 12 Open Gates, approaching You.

Bless us and keep us to abide in You. Your Gracious Favor. Thank You, lift Your countenance on us, Shine and smile. We will have Your Peace. To be covered in the Name of Jesus.

We are Blessed to boldly and with confidence have our Prayer prayed with Jesus, Your Son. We are blessed our prayers reach Your throne. We want our prayer to be a blessing of a wonderful aroma in Your Heavenly Home. You greeted John after many Years. Shining.

We pray to have fellowship with the Joy and Faith of being Your child. Knowing we will come Home to You. Jesus has made Your Kingdom our Eternal Home.

We lift up our cares, our Loved ones and their needs. Knowing Your Blessings, Finding Your Blessings.

Praying for the people You have given us to be Blessed and Joy filled knowing Your Love. We pray for our Nation entrusted to You. We delight to know all Nations come to Your Glory. Joining with Your Beloved daily praying for more Heaven on earth in Your Willingness.

In Jesus, Amen.

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
