Matthew 6:7-15 ~ your Father knows what you need before you ask Him, pray then like this

Matthew 6:7-15

"And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 Pray then like this:

"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Psalm 103:6
He satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s

Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary of doing good,
for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Deuteronomy 28

And if you faithfully obey the voice of the LORD your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. 2And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the LORD your God. 3 Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. 4 Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. 5 Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. 6 Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

7“The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8The LORD will command the blessing on you in your barns and in all that you undertake. And he will bless you in the land that the LORD your God is giving you. 9The LORD will establish you as a people holy to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in his ways.

Abba,

You have been thinking right along me, all this day, and all of my life.

We can pray to You, knowing You know all the details. Abba, we ask for Your Abundant and Willing Blessings this day. And we will look to see this with renewed ideas and fresh minds. Daily You Loadeth us with Blessings.

We ask as we bring Your Word for Peace, You will do this. To fill each day with Love, Joy and Peace.

And in the Name of Jesus, bring more Heaven on earth for Your Good Will.

Bless us this week as we gather with the People we Love, the People You have given us. Help us to know Your

Blessings.

In Jesus Christ, Surrounding Your Good Creation, we ask for all of our Cares Lifted to You. And Rest comfortably in this prayer. Zechariah 10:6-12 ~ their hearts shall rejoice in the Lord

Zechariah 10:6-12

“I will strengthen the house of Judah,
and I will save the house of Joseph.
I will bring them back because I have compassion on them,
and they shall be as though I had not rejected them,
for I am the Lord their God and I will answer them.
7 Then Ephraim shall become like a mighty warrior,
and their hearts shall be glad as with wine.
Their children shall see it and be glad;
their hearts shall rejoice in the Lord.

8 “I will whistle for them and gather them in,
for I have redeemed them,
and they shall be as many as they were before.
9 Though I scattered them among the nations,
yet in far countries they shall remember me,
and with their children they shall live and return.

10 I will bring them home from the land of Egypt,
and gather them from Assyria,
and I will bring them to the land of Gilead and to Lebanon,
till there is no room for them.
11 He shall pass through the sea of troubles
and strike down the waves of the sea,
and all the depths of the Nile shall be dried up.
The pride of Assyria shall be laid low,
and the scepter of Egypt shall depart.

12 I will make them strong in the Lord,
and they shall walk in his name,”
declares the Lord.

Matthew 1

1 The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

2 Abraham was the father of Isaac, and Isaac the father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers, 3 and Judah the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar, and Perez the father of Hezron, and Hezron the father of Ram, 4 and Ram the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab the father of Nahshon, and Nahshon the father of Salmon, 5 and Salmon the father of Boaz by Rahab, and Boaz the father of Obed by Ruth, and Obed the father of Jesse, 6 and Jesse the father of David the king.

And David was the father of Solomon by the wife of Uriah, 7 and Solomon the father of Rehoboam, and Rehoboam the father of Abijah, and Abijah the father of Asaph, 8 and Asaph the father of Jehoshaphat, and Jehoshaphat the father of Joram, and Joram the father of Uzziah, 9 and Uzziah the father of Jotham, and Jotham the father of Ahaz, and Ahaz the father of Hezekiah, 10 and Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, and Manasseh the father of Amos, and Amos the father of Josiah, 11 and Josiah the father of Jechoniah and his brothers, at the time of the deportation to Babylon.

12 And after the deportation to Babylon: Jechoniah was the father of Shealtiel, and Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel, 13 and Zerubbabel the father of Abiud, and Abiud the father of Eliakim, and Eliakim the father of Azor, 14 and Azor the father of Zadok, and Zadok the father of Achim, and Achim the father of Eliud, 15 and Eliud the father of Eleazar, and Eleazar the father of Matthan, and Matthan the father of Jacob, 16 and Jacob the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ.

17 So all the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations.

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. 19 And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. 20 But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:

23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall call his name Immanuel”

(which means, God with us). 24 When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, 25 but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

Isaiah 66:13
700 years before Jesus arrives as Grace upon Grace

As a mother comforts her child,
so will I comfort you;
and you shall will be comforted in Jerusalem.

Hebrews 3 ~ The Holy Spirit Says

Hebrews 3

Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession, 2 who was faithful to him who appointed him, just as Moses also was faithful in all God's house. 3 For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. 4 (For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.) 5 Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, 6 but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son. And we are his house, if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.

7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says,

“Today, if you hear his voice,
8 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
on the day of testing in the wilderness,
9 where your fathers put me to the test
and saw my works for forty years.
10 Therefore I was provoked with that generation,
and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart;
they have not known my ways.’
11 As I swore in my wrath,
‘They shall not enter my rest.’”

12 Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. 13 But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end. 15 As it is said,

“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

16 For who were those who heard and yet rebelled? Was it not all those who left Egypt led by Moses? 17 And with whom was he provoked for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient? 19 So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief.

Our Father tells us in His Word, we will Live by every Word of God. And then, He says we should renew our minds and see old things in new ways.

We always consider God to be so angry in the Old Testament. Really, God did not care for the infant sacrifice for prosperity so common in Baal worship around Israel. God, in fact, said come out from among them. Blood on the fields will grow crops, but what people do this?

And when we consider the Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow video of Israel, we might think of Ezekiel 37. Old Testament...

This surely does not sound very angry.

And the Resurrection? Began to be part of God's Plan as God spoke Light into True Light. Before Abraham. In the Old Testament.

The Bones so dead, would rise up and Live. From God's Spoken Word - Jesus - incarnate Word of God, Jesus, Himself.

Ezekiel 37 is Old Testament.

In the New Testament...
Does God repent of all of the wars the earth has seen from the dawn of time to our time? No. God tells us in Hebrews 3, mankind has free will. Father God desires us to employ Life, given to us to stand every day before God, in Jesus, and we will Live.

Hebrews 3 points out the analogy of making choices to Live during the tribulations of the Exodus. God our Father is still talking about this through out the Gospels and New Testament. God is the same Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. God promised the Children of Israel, Israel would be a land of milk and honey. God knows what God Himself is doing.

Consider what God told Micah, Old Testament, in the Holy Spirit:

Our Father God, Father of Jesus Christ, showing His exact personality, is the same always.

Hebrews 1:3
The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Psalm 121
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Isaiah 66:13
700 years before Jesus arrives as Grace upon Grace

As a mother comforts her child,
so will I comfort you;
and you shall will be comforted in Jerusalem.

Matthew 22:29 ~ know the Scriptures or the power of God.

Reprint 4/26/14

Yesterday, we discussed finding a Scripture to have your heart encouraged in relationship with our Father God.

Today, I'm standing with Edward looking at Discs for sale at the USA Master's Disc Golf Tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Master's is filled with professional men, artistic men, blue collar men, men who survived cancer, men with sons - this is a group of Very Serious Athletic Men who complain if they shoot a 58 on 18 holes with 35 mph winds. If you can throw a disc the size of a salad plate 425 feet with a flick - you just might be = Athletic. This is the fastest-growing sport in the world. And these men are competing with some real intensity.

So, the young seller of discs has not cottoned on the fact - these men are not really interested in rap music. But I'm standing there politely and the music is usually hard to understand. But very nicely, the rapper explains things happen twice, they happen twice. Suddenly I can hear the lyrics, so I stop to listen, and the grumpy guy standing next to me, but we are both listening to the music suddenly. And they lyrics suddenly say,
"We all have an urgency, an urgency to Find God."

Wow.

Psalm 95:1
Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!

The grumpy disc golfer and I are both in amazement and stand frozen. Until the wind completely knocks over his cart and we speak without any comment on the music that we will go home and think about.

Does God get thanks?
Is His job without thanks? Do we have urgency to know God - our Creator. Opening up a conversation about that is - difficult.

And if we open up the conversation with: "Are the Baptists saved? What about Mormons? Catholics? Gays?" We are really dealing with not God's Salvation - where He wants to Save all people - but a way to snipe (om ... God) and put Him in our Tupperware box marked "Is God fair?
What about my own personal sufferings?"

Suffering - Huh - What - is - it - Good - for?
Well, frankly, that depends. Upon? What we intend to do with our sufferings!

Are we going to pretend not to suffer and internally implode? Or run from the problems like they can be evaded. Or say it's the Good Ship Lollipop. Frankly, we all need time to process.

A little quietly consider - is good for all of us.

All of Scripture is about problem solving and prayer.
Got a problem? Chances are very good - there are several to twenty good solutions.

If you apply the same conversation to people - they will
 a) be pleased    b) be be be very bored    c) might tolerate you.

Same with Scripture and problem-solving. There is, "Flee the devil" = "Problem Solved!" Joyfully Solved.

There is ... "be real nice all the time and people will think you are a moron." Except, this is not Biblical and who really used that philosophy well in the Bible? No one. Scriptures are Real. I know the Scriptures and can't honestly say sweet is Biblical. Love is far different than sweet.

Love says I will make sure the gates of hell won't prevail against you. Love says count on this like a Rock. Love says you sure are damn wrong. Next time don't try to walk on water, Peter. Sit down and have breakfast.

Is there an urgency to knowing God...
Absolutely not. Especially, if you have no problems.
If you do, and you are willing to stand before Your Maker... the Father of all of Creation.
With a little humility.
With some gratitude.
With some real expression of sorrow for what we all can do. And didn't do. And should have done.
Giving some sincere heart and honesty - you Will be received.

If you are willing to put some Thomas Jefferson effort into many pages of letters written to you,
you will discover, "Truth that sparkles like a diamond."

You will find, in these Letters, like-minded people. In messy situations, seeking for something - solutions.

The old fashioned kind - the kind requiring faith, time, patience and Him first.

The kind that you have to jut your jaw out to find. To be determined to find endurance, character and finally a hope that will be rewarded with "anticipated solutions."

Our Father God is like us. We are made in His image. He wants to be Thanked. Appreciated. Loved. And He wants us to expect the best in Him. If we secretly feel we are less than worthy, we might just be right!

He tends to deal with that gently when approached honestly and to say  - "Help me, Please."

Matthew 22:29b
know the Scriptures
or the power of God.

Matthew 4:4
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Got questions? "It is written!"

Deuteronomy 11:14
He will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the later rain,
that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.

Abba,

Let us live with hearts to please you and not man. Let us put our faith in You and be shown the Light of mankind because of Jesus Christ.

Ecclesiastes 9:7
So go ahead. Eat your food with joy, and drink your wine with a happy heart, for God approves of this!

Nehemiah 8:10
Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

We pray this Joy overflows from our souls as our mercies renew each day.

Let this Joy flow as we consider more Heaven on earth from Your Good Will.

All our cares we Lift Up to You. And our burden is light. All we pray for our Loved Ones we Lift Up to You and our burden become light. We understand Joy arrives in the morning! Looking into Your Scriptures for our solutions. Finding Comfort!

The Purpose of Life is to present ourselves to You. To stand as Gabriel does, in Your Presence. Your Word tells us boldly and with confidence approach You as we Pray. Jesus tells us when we feel You have not been fair, as the Judge parable, to impudently pray. Just as the Disciples fussed when Jesus, Resurrected, fixed breakfast. And in this remembrance, to remember with warm hearts, Your Steadfast Love.

We Thank You for our Blessings and we are abundantly loaded in Your Willingness. We pray for All Your Peace, Love and Joy with Abundant Life. Remembering all Your Good Creation and the communion of saints covering Your earth and the fullness with Prayers in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

2 Corinthians 11:25-33 ~ escaped

George VI has just found he has terminal lung cancer and has not told his family.

The Song is "Bleak Midwinter" and isn't bleak due to George's lovely heart.

Our God, heaven cannot hold Him
Nor earth sustain,
Heaven and earth shall flee away
When He comes to reign:
In the bleak mid-winter
A stable-place sufficed
The Lord God Almighty —
Jesus Christ.

Enough for Him, whom Cherubim
Worship night and day,
A breastful of milk
And a mangerful of hay;
Enough for Him, whom Angels
Fall down before,
The ox and ass and camel
Which adore.

Angels and Archangels
May have gathered there,
Cherubim and seraphim
Thronged the air;
But only His Mother
In her maiden bliss
Worshipped the Beloved
With a kiss.

What can I give Him,
Poor as I am?
If I were a Shepherd
I would bring a lamb;
If I were a Wise Man
I would do my part,
Yet what I can I give Him,
Give my heart.

Psalm 68:19
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

What are the Blessings of being a Child of God, believer in the One He has sent?

2 Corinthians 11:25-33

25 Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; 26 on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; 27 in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food,[a] in cold and exposure. 28 And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for all the churches. 29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant?

30 If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. 31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, he who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying. 32 At Damascus, the governor under King Aretas was guarding the city of Damascus in order to seize me, 33 but I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall and escaped his hands.

The King James Version is beautiful to compare:

2 Corinthians 11:25-33 King James Version (KJV)

25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;

26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?

30 If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.

31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.

32 In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me:

33 And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.

Yesterday - we spent hours with our adult son, having his first job, and having fever, virus and sinus infection. Hours to find our good doctor in our area was full. Hours to get him in to the P.A., vastly too many hours to get the meds and the insurance wasn't taken for the meds. Three trips for one set of meds and many phone calls on hold. Solved. Overcome.

Our son was listing to one side today with fever and we fed him and put Food, Vitamins and Gatorade down him. There is a newness to life to have sudden adult employment. When we moved here 19 years ago, The Dallas Morning News was doing a series on Debt for young working families. The way cars are turned in and the new note isn't explained to be longer and more terrible. The $800 Child's Easter Dress. The expensive, costly late at night dinner to relax after a busy, double working day.

A day to teach Overcoming.

There is an art to getting out of trouble. God Loading us with Benefits. Daily.

Conflict? No thank you. Except ...

Almost every book ever written has conflict. John 21 tells us all Conflict is about God.

So accordingly, we spent the day - unraveling the trouble with the meds and the charges and dealt with gracious and kindly people. Returning an ebay car part through Paypal. And taking some time remembering Exodus 14:14 is true - God fights for us and we thought about every escape and Good Will from every obstacle.
A life of conflict and life of Daily Blessings.

What did Paul find in the Holy Spirit to find God Overcomes?

Romans 10:9
If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We are leaving death out of our eternity and this is every day.

Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Turn your situations upside down to see the other side of the mirror. Sometimes just wondering this will lead you down a new path of Chosen Joy. God of the Possible.

See...

Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Sometimes to tell worried thoughts, fine worry (like the Disciples did and didn't get fired) until you are tired of fuss and worry. And in the permission to find peace. Sincerity finds Peace.

Romans 5:1
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ

Romans 8:1
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus

Romans 8:14
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

Favor and Blessings truly belong to Father God. God is our shield and the lifter of our head.

Romans 8:31
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

God of our freedom

1 Corinthians 15:3
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures

God our Father truly wants us to thrive like the Children of Israel in His Wondrous Blessings.

1 Corinthians 15:1
Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which

you have taken your stand.

Jesus said there are goats and weeds and enemies - like Zombie movies. Overcome.

1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.

Love covers all. God of Love. Love one another. God made His own Example - God did go forth when David was mad at Him over God's Plans for the Ark. God went forth blessing someone else. Love. God Does.

1 Corinthians 13:1
If I speak in human or angelic tongues, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal

Yes God blessed others when David didn't want the Ark. Not sulking, God went forth to Bless.

1 Corinthians 12:12
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.

Life temporary is bothersome - Jesus told us. Life Perpetual...

1 Corinthians 2:9
However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived – these things God has prepared for those who love him"

Consider how many Books Paul wrote empowered with the Holy Spirit. These are only two Books teaching us Overcoming. Living with Joy, Peace, Truth and Love.

Abba, Father God,

Daily You Load us with Blessings. We will Fight the Good Fight with Love and Sincerity.

Psalm 124, A Psalm of David - who if David lived with Faith - we can as well!

6Praise the LORD,

Who did not let their teeth tear us apart!

7We escaped like a bird from the snare of the fowlers

The snare is broken, and we are free!

8 Our help is from the LORD,

who made heaven and earth.

We will give Thanks Giving for our fleas and our flees. We will turn and bless someone.

We will count all the times we have encountered elbows out conforming to the power of the world and escaped.

We will remember diligent prayer and steadfast Love God Gives. We will remember all the burdens God has lifted from us.

And we are Blessed. So Blessed we pray Blessings upon others. Have the Joy of knowing God will care for those we Love. God's mission is the world through Jesus Christ. God's here to save the lost.

We Bless You for helping Elliott and Dee. Their families are so glad to have the Healing of God.

And in Jesus we are found as His. Amen!

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
