Mark 1:29-31 ~ He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up

Mark 1:29-31

And immediately Jesus left the synagogue and entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30 Now Simon's mother-in-law lay ill with a fever, and immediately they told him about her. 31 And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her, and she began to serve them.

Matthew 4:4
Jesus answered, it is written:
"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word
that proceeds, out of the mouth of God."

Scriptures are viewed how the Word of God is delivered. The Big Picture. And then, usually, we find one verse and hang on. Equally short - we face the challenge of what are we doing with today? That's the same challenge being given a verse of Scripture and finding what to do with the Verse.

Jesus left the Synagogue. Temple. Church. Place of Holiness and went out into the world.
We are expected to be part of life. And not allow God to leave what people see in us. Martin Luther and James, the Brother of Jesus, have differences - James says if we don't have Works, we have no faith. Martin Luther lived during the time of Indulgences and this meant Pay. Pay your way into Grace. Where the Spirit is - there is Freedom. There will be days to give back, The Spirit of God creates the opportunity and we feel God ask us. No one is expected to perform for Salvation. Believe and then confess with your mouth.

Now we've done something the Spirit of God does easily - we've traveled two thousand years back to James and then 500 years back to Martin Luther and found today. We've search holiness and remarkable lives and found a Hope for today.

Quickly Jesus determined where He was going. Immediately. Something we value and love about today's speed of living. Jesus would blend in well. Very often when we face something in life - we feel it drags on and on. Down. Up. Over. Like the present year. And then like Jesus, we find we are so busy getting one thing done or another and we are there. Jesus was moving in the opportunities God was providing.

Jesus immediately encounters LIFE. Peter and his family tell Jesus, with James and John, - immediately - they have fever within the household. There is not going to be Penicillin offered this week. Not for 1940 years. Jesus is informed because He is endangering His Life. The Family does not wish to be anything other than transparent. Very, very probably most guests would offer sympathy as they departed - understandably.

Jesus does what God does - Jesus is putting His Hand immediately where Care is needed. And the Goal Jesus has isn't to buy grace and favor, to do admirable works. The action Jesus gives Raises up a woman, an elderly woman.

Jesus doesn't march in and tell everyone He is here to Raise Women. Jesus simply finds He will treat all people with His Love. And do for each soul, what God would Favor and Bless us all with. Jesus never carried a Banner about Anything. Unless we consider the Cross is a message of Profound Love and Overcoming. To end only - Death. To provide only - Life.

Jesus knew that very day He was facing Death to help.
In many ways. One doesn't just go into a bed chamber of an elderly woman. Even if you are bringing 4 men with you. Jesus was very new to Capernaum. He could have been facing screeching.  Peter's Mother-in-Law had the finest house in Capernaum. Placed on the Sea. Plaster on the walls. Next Door to the Center of the Town's Community - The Synagogue.

Jesus changed this house of Peter's forever. Written Histories tell us the house would continue for 400 more years as the Pilgrimage to see where Jesus lived as an adult. A House Church where visitors wrote on the walls about their travel and Love.

The People who would know Jesus would wish to give Jesus a Blessing. And it wasn't purchase Grace, only pure Grace.

This has been a few weeks to consider God and The House. The Shape and Condition of our lives and the community that holds us - The Nation.

I would believe that all of us, no matter if you are Republican or Democrat, peaceful, protester or angry and out of normal boundaries - would believe the Nation is falling down. I'd believe we all have the conviction we would see us all - Rise.

When Jesus taught, He generally sat down in Public. Jesus knew He would be part of life forever; and He didn't intend to expel effort unnecessary. Jesus expected God to do the work. Sustainable Energy.

Kindness is sustainable. Love is sustainable. Raising one another up is sustainable.

War is a season. Peace is enduring. Works of darkness fade away.

The Light Shines.

Let's take hold of Martin Luther King's Dream holds on to the Word of God. Love comes from the heart. Let's not lose the meaning of the Police standing with Martin Luther King. Let's rise to Live this every day.

Collection of prayers by Martin Luther King Jr
Thou, Dear God: Prayers that Open Hearts and Spirits
edited by Lewis V. Baldwin, Beacon Press, 2012

Holy God. We pray that your Holy Spirit remind us all that you show no partiality with regards to nationality, race, ethnicity, or gender, and to do so is to go against your great commandment of love toward one another.

Isaiah 40:3-5

A voice of one calling: “Prepare the way for the LORD in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert. 4 Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill made low; the uneven ground will become smooth, and the rugged land a plain.

5 And the glory of the LORD will be revealed,
 and all humanity
together will see it.

For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

***

Thou Eternal God, out of whose absolute power and infinite intelligence the whole universe has come into being, we humbly confess that we have not loved thee with our hearts, souls and minds, and we have not loved our neighbors as Christ loved us. We have all too often lived by our own selfish impulses rather than by the life of sacrificial love as revealed by Christ. We often give in order to receive. We love our friends and hate our enemies. We go the first mile but dare not travel the second. We forgive but dare not forget. And so as we look within ourselves, we are confronted with the appalling fact that the history of our lives is the history of an eternal revolt against you. But thou, O

God, have mercy upon us. Forgive us for what we could have been but failed to be. Give us the intelligence to know your will. Give us the courage to do your will. Give us the devotion to love your will. In the name and spirit of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

***

God, help us as individuals and as a world to hear it now before it is too late: "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and God's justice and all these other things shall be added unto you."

***

God grant that as we go out and face life with all of its decisions, as we face the bitter cup which we will inevitably face from day to day, God grant that we will learn this one thing and that is, to make the transition from "this cup" to "nevertheless."

***

O God, we thank you for the fact that you have inspired men and women in all nations and in all cultures. We call you different names: some call you Allah; some call you Elohim; some call you Jehovah; some call you Brahma; some call you the Unmoved Mover. But we know that these are all names for one and the same God.

Grant that we will follow you and become so committed to your way and your kingdom that we will be able to establish in our lives and in this world a brother and sisterhood, that we will be able to establish here a kingdom of understanding, where men and women will live together as brothers and sisters and respect the dignity and worth of every human being. In the name and spirit of Jesus. Amen.

***

God, give us strength of body to keep walking for freedom. God, give us strength to remain nonviolent, even though we may face death.

***

God, grant that we wage the struggle with dignity and discipline. May all who suffer oppression in this world reject the self-defeating method of retaliatory violence and choose the method that seeks to redeem.

***

God, remove all bitterness from my heart and give me the strength and courage to face any disaster that comes my way.

***

O God, make us willing to do your will, come what may. Increase the number of persons of good will and moral sensitivity.

Give us renewed confidence in nonviolence and the way of love as taught by Christ. Amen.

***

Eternal God, out of whose mind this great cosmic universe, we bless you.

Help us to seek that which is high, noble and good. Help us in the moment of difficult decision. Help us to work with renewed vigor for a warless world, a better distribution of wealth, and a brother/sisterhood that transcends race or color.

***

God, we thank you for the inspiration of Jesus.
Grant that we will love you with all our hearts, souls, and minds, and love our neighbors as we love ourselves, even our enemy neighbors.

And we ask you, God, in these days of emotional tension, when the problems of the world are gigantic in extent and chaotic in detail, to be with us in our going out and our coming in, in our rising up and in our lying down, in our moments of joy and in our moments of sorrow, until the day when there shall be no sunset and no dawn. Amen.

***

O God, we thank you for the lives of great saints and prophets in the past, who have revealed to us that we can stand up amid the problems and difficulties and trials of life and not give in.

We thank you for our foreparents, who've given us something in the midst of the darkness of exploitation and oppression to keep going.

Grant that we will go on with the proper faith and the proper determination of will, so that we will be able to make a creative contribution to this world.

In the name and spirit of Jesus we pray.  Amen.

Psalm 32:1-5, 10-11 ~ Blessed Rejoice

Franklin Graham prayed to begin the 4th night of the RNC Convention.

Psalm 32:1-5, 10-11

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered.

Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity,
and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.

For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah

I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

Many are the sorrows of the wicked,
but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.

Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous,
and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

God tells us to look for what is good. Our attitudes set us on His Path.
His Path tells us we Are gifted talented, able to give back. Able to give our attention. Our time. Our care. Our diligent prayer. Able to spend a weekend painting. Able to help move. Able to take a pie. Able to discern God's Will with the cheerfulness of knowing His Will will work out.

God says for us to have a mind that is renewed in Him. To be alert, to not look just survival mode. To have an attitude of gratitude showing an alert nature. Pleasant. Love one's self not to exclusivity. Politely putting down social media without any gripes or whine to others. Loving one's self in a healthy manner Jesus would approve.

Jesus tells us - My Child! What a blessing! Turning the other cheek can be walking away from a pointless argument or then having that needed discussion in a manner worthy of healthy communicating - honoring His other person's opinion. Being able to say 'no' to the sponge who will always just take service and want more. Only because God wants us to fight the good fight. All of us. Do not deprive someone else of their ability to do something for themselves.

Amid Covid-19, Texas has Not forgotten the Cajun Navy!!!

Houston ABC13's reporter Roxie Bustamante and her photographer were headed to Port Arthur. "DPS, UT Health EMS, Fort Bend County, Hopkins Co., Harris Co., and more. Even spotted Dallas. Help is on the way y'all! We can't even see the beginning of the line. Truly remarkable and always thank you, thank you, thank you to our first responders. In awe right now," Bustamante said.

The Gulf Coast is sharing the aftermaths of Hurricane Laura.

Today, Texas Governor sent out more Ambulances and First Responder Vehicles than the whole of the television camera could capture, miles of First Responders, miles of vehicles, headed across I-10 from Texas to Louisiana.

The Cajun Navy has helped Texas in magnificent ways. This storm wasn't water, as feared, instead it was winds of 150 mph.

We want to help Louisiana and continue the heroics of  the Cajun Navy, an American Dunkirk. Covid makes this fearsome, indeed. Anticipating and knowing the hearts of the Gulf Coast of the USA for one another - our Good Governor Abbott has secured and established good will our citizens wouldn't comprehend how to do this individually.

This is American Government we have seen overcome the onslaught of a Virus before there was one case here. This was overcoming vast data to secure the thanks of many Governors and many people. This leadership will continue a fine and established tradition to provide help individuals could not master in the face of pandemic.

As President Trump began his acceptance Speech, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama had pledged to assist a horrific event of Hurricane Laura. Individual States rise to help one another.

A Symphony and Harmony of Peace.

Watching Hurricane Laura last night, Ted Oberg of ABC Channel 13 Houston discussed the noise wasn't numerous fire sirens, and instead was the specific noise of this particular Hurricane. Ike was said to make a noise of a huge and broken Carnival Merry Go Round.

There is another noise with Peace. The Ocean tide makes a noise like a breathe. A great analogy for the steadfast Love of God. See God within you, then see Goodness.

Daily Amazing Wonders, when we take the time to renew. Shine, Shine.

Abba, Father God,

Help us to continually see Your Good.

1 Chronicles 29:10-12 ~ give strength to all

Little Pink Houses for You and Me.
Something to See.

1 Chronicles 29:10-12

Then David blessed the LORD in the sight of all the assembly and said: “May You be blessed, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the splendor and the majesty, for everything in heaven and on earth belongs to You.

Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom, and You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You are the ruler over all. In Your hands are power and might to exalt and give strength to all

1 Peter 3:15

In your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that you have. But respond with gentleness and respect

"In 1787, when the Founding Fathers had hammered out the U.S. Constitution in Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Benjamin Franklin told an inquiring woman what the gathering had produced, "A republic, madam, if you can keep it." "

Jefferson also knew how great the American experiment's appeal would be to others. "The flames kindled on the 4th of July, 1776, have spread across too much of the globe to be extinguished by the feeble engines of despotism; on the contrary, they will consume the engines and all who work them."

The American experiment was unique and improbable in 1776, when Thomas Jefferson penned the Declaration of Independence and the American colonies defied Britain, the most powerful nation on earth at the time. As we look around the world at how difficult it is for democracy and freedom to take hold and flourish, America seems like a political miracle."

The Heritage Foundation, Helle C. Dale, Senior Fellow for Public Diplomacy

The American Experiment.

We could have been called The Americas. Vespucci. North America. Or Southern Canada. Probably more likely, given the American determination -  we had to have the name:

The United States of America.

Independent. Unique. United. Resilient.

We have been interested in a broad range of interests:

Assembly,  blessed, God,  Israel, everlasting, greatness, power,  splendor, everything, riches and honor, our interests are those we believe - give strength to all.

We want to know the poor have good news. The United States want to know big dreams. We want to see Hope, Faith and Love.

Television has changed. The Nightly News, is usually on a down turn in ratings. The NFL has seen the fan base dwindle 8% a year. For an interesting reason, one uniting The United States of America.

Moral Turpitude.
There is an ugly, uptight legalese to the phrase. And it has the strong determination of, "Come and Take it." We usually call this Home of the Free and Home of the Brave.  The USA wasn't easy to settle. We can't point to an incredible number of generations here. We all just about died by sea travel. Or the price of the ticket.

We fought for the price to be free here. We have all known some story of Polio, Small Pox, or Spanish Flu. Most of us know a Great Depression story.

Most of us have known Adversity and Struggle.
To be educated. To have the job. To be married. To have children. To live in health. God Himself has told us Life has trouble.

Moral Turpitude. Something we debate to this day. Football has brain injury and ego. Hard to enjoy sport when there are greater issues. Hard to watch the nightly news when there are greater issues.

Why has nightly news been on a downward track?
We are not asked to be independent thinkers of The United States. We've been asked to be stated, stated, stated, stated and - slated - into - what we think.

We have a Long History of Digging In. We demand Justice.

Even if we have to argue - Independently.

Dogged, Peaceful Determination for Justice
causes
Justice.

1 Corinthians 16:13
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

First Amendment. Plain and simple. First Amendment.
To speak our thoughts. And not be slated.
Freedom from Zim.

The United States is interested in those who would kick someone in the head, from behind,  part of brute force and hidden is
Captured.

We want the people who protect their home, not to be charged,
while those ripping down public property are not charged.

Lawyers Mark McCloskey, 61, and Patricia McCloskey, 63 are in their sixties.

We want to sit in our homes and yards, knowing security. We want to be homeowners.  We want to know the Police Protect and Serve All and Have Honor for their work. We want our future generations, our children to own homes. We want elderly people to have their homes.

We want Education for All People
We want Affordable Education.
And Educational Choice.

Never again hear poorer neighborhoods
are denied school text books
as "Flight Risks."

Dependable is Far Better.

We Want the Big Wins.

We want to hear the Tennessee Valley Authority CEO (mocked his employees to improve profitability while hiring foreign workers to be trained by the generations long employees) was fired.
The Employees fought for their Jobs and won thanks to President Trump.

Abba,

And Heaven and earth rejoice, and Heaven and earth Rejoice.
Oh Heaven and Heaven and Heaven and earth Rejoice.

Father God Fill us with Your Love
Let the Holy Spirit Work in Us.

Bless those we Love with Your Light and Life.
Jesus the Only Son of His Father.

Abba, Father God,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so
through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.

For everything that was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope.

Now may the God of endurance and encouragement grant you harmony
with one another in Christ Jesus, so that with one mind and one voice you may
glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Jesus Christ,
The Ark of the Covenant is Within
Father God, Dwell within us and
those we Love.

Jesus help us in this Nation to be in Your Word and more Joyful.

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
