Psalm 52 ~ I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever

 

Psalm 52

Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man?

    The steadfast love of God endures all the day.

 Your tongue plots destruction,

    like a sharp razor, you worker of deceit.

 You love evil more than good,

    and lying more than speaking what is right. Selah

 You love all words that devour,

    O deceitful tongue.

 But God will break you down forever;

    he will snatch and tear you from your tent;

    he will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah

 The righteous shall see and fear,

    and shall laugh at him, saying,

 “See the man who would not make

    God his refuge,

but trusted in the abundance of his riches

    and sought refuge in his own destruction!”

8 But I am like a green olive tree

    in the house of God.

I trust in the steadfast love of God

    forever and ever.

9 I will thank you forever,

    because you have done it.

I will wait for your name, for it is good,

    in the presence of the godly.

God is orderly. Psalm 52 is placed after Psalm 51, a reconciliation of guilt and forgiveness from our God, our Heavenly Father.

1 Corinthians 14:40 

But all things should be done decently and in order.

Mostly, we all feel self-made.  Well, you started out with nothing, And you're proud that you're a self-made man. And we bear with this, taking responsibility for our flaws and virtues. Suddenly, we are plunged into the Year 2020 and the Christians access Spiritually their responsibility for Acts of God. And wonder. Knowing every 500 years, history has shown Acts of God occur. For the mature, we know we have seen times ebb and flow.

The younger generation, we can tell, are frayed. 

Stressed. Baffled. Concerned. We can see after all demonstrations, they were directed and used and had their Higher Optimism forced out. The USA has seen 80 million early voters - - - and only 13% of younger voters have shown up to Vote. Registered and absent.

All the Planning for Change

Originated from the Church.

Today, even the mature will have days they long to have the Light shine gently upon us. We truly want to see the Light shine gently upon us.

Historically, Pandemics have fear and humankind reacts with anger and violence. The chaos tamed has occurred in Churches. Now is an important time for the Church in Jesus Christ. Outreach to those who have flown to being young and self-made. If the Youth doesn't participate in the Vote, in sheer bogged down alligators, clowns, fear, verbal violence — just all the yuck. We need to find a path to draw in those who need the Gentle Light of God placed to warm their hearts. Vote in the Eternal Blessings of God for their Comfort. The Comforter God is.

Common Ground

America profoundly Loves their Children. When we look for an aspect we could have God Sing Over Us, Love has a Plan and a Path. All children have a little something in common, they love people a few years older or younger than they are. Ages 14, 19, 24 or 28. We could continue this to the aged. If we deliberately make a phone tree of comfort — where our voices are heard. Another part of the Spirit as the wind of God would very wisely point out to have several projects going on to not overwhelm the one with excessive enthusiasm. 

To allow God to be the Light, wind and warmth.

More Common Ground

Today, there isn't one person who won't want to hear, “I'm holding you in my heart and I pray for you more than you know. And I will continue to put Joy and Love and Peace with God's arms open to you.”

Who enjoyed this approach?

Jesus did. Selah. Jesus took time to be still and with God. Selah. Jesus climbed mountains to be held in His Father's Love.

When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, 2 since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. 4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

6 “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you. 8 For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. 9 I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. 10 All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. 12 While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.

20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

When I pray in the morning, I give up my worries - as in lift them up. Then I pray not to gloss over the concerns, as in live in denial, but to exactly think of this Chapter of Jesus telling about His Life in John's Gospel of Chapters 14, 15, 16 and 17. 

The Chapter is a key touch stone of the Cornerstone of God's Plan. This is the way Jesus truly feels about Life. 

Today's news thought about Australia, Melbourne locked down for 111 or 112 days. This was severe, you had to stay within 3 miles of home and stay indoors for the exact number of hours. Suicides rose 33%. Even in lockdown, Melbourne saw a spike in their winter in July.  And, today, Rome is seeing riots. 

And this. When was the last time we thought about our ship coming in?

When our Church cared for the Refugees of Hurricane Katrina for many months in a local hotel, the stress killed two of an extended family of four. The four lived on the Louisiana coast and it was two sisters and their two husbands. The husband was in heart failure and the reaction to the whole loss caused the sister in her early 50s to pass on.  I sat with him as he cried the next morning. I will never cease to cry over the conversation of love lost. He had grown up with his sister-in-law and brother-in-law and ridden bicycles to school. Fished the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Never anticipated living 40 or 50 years without their best friends - their family. And as the kindly man faced this, he told me to value what I had today. I asked him what he would value now. He said he was going to grandparent, not only theirs, but the sister and brother-in-law's children and grandchildren as well. He spoke of all the coffees they'd lived life consuming and conversations.

This has been quite a week.

God in His Wisdom has picked this week to

Find and See and Hear and Acknowledge what the people we know have thought and experienced about this year. 

One couple recovered from Covid. Another couple has Communion every day and rejoice in employment. Some have seen this separate families by generations due to employment and health. Some have seen adult children worry. One of our friends suddenly lives alone due to a divorce. This friend is angry, upset about the Pandemic making this more difficult. We feel like this is temporary for them and Life and Jesus will find a way forward. We've had 5 or 6 neighbors on the next street retire simultaneously, as planned, and move. Their houses sold quickly as the suburbs are filling up with Exxon and the city dwellers seeking more space. One friend, we have Posted about, was a widow, who just was not going to recover from grief this side of Heaven, and she has gone Home to Jesus Christ. She would say this is Victory and her many years Bible Study would agree with joy for her. Some of my sons' friends have moved in with parents. And I've seen people adapt to the new lives. Find new interests to focus on.

This Maturity is keeping people calm in God Himself.

Exodus 18:23 

If you do this and God will direct you, 

you will be able to endure, 

and all this people also will go to their place in peace.

I'm seeing a cautious optimism. 

Not free of worry. But a Hope. We are seeing negative things on TV, but we are seeing people line up to have a Parade. I think we are finding a resiliency. A lifting for Hope God is Here. 

 Galatians 6:9

 And let us not grow weary of doing good, 

for in due season we will reap, 

if we do not give up.

I'm seeing something better than Grit.

I'm hearing people are talking to their families more and finding solutions. I'm feeling the strength of optimism in God Himself. I believe we all feel we have this in us to try and work and fight the Good Fight some more. And I pray you see this around you and in you as well.

Let's repeat the Exodus verse.

Exodus 18:23 

If you do this and God will direct you, 

you will be able to endure, 

and all this people also will go to their place in peace.

 

Abba, our Father,

 John 3:8

 The wind blows wherever it pleases. 

You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. 

So, it is with everyone born of the Spirit. 

We are not told all Your Plans, we do know the wind is blowing. 

And we can trust You to take us on the journey You are providing, finding Blessings.

I'm seeing people open up about their concerns, 

giving us a chance to remember them in our hearts

And in our Prayers.

You are a Holy God and Father, You will Provide.

You will Encourage

You will Strengthen

Romans 5

  Not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does not disappoint us because God has poured out His love into our hearts 

through the Holy Spirit, 

whom He has given us.

Father, Honestly I don't think I want to rejoice in sufferings, 

we can clearly see

  God Helping, God Working for Good aspect 

to know Persevere, Character, Hope, 

God's Love into our hearts, the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ.

Let's pray for the younger generation,

who are baffled by this upheaval

And are new to enduring to Thrive.

For all the people who have asked prayers for their adult children.

God's Love and Blessing Comfort and Heal Hearts

And Soothe Worries.

To push depression and blue away in Perseverance

to know that we can't whisk this away

and yet Jesus said pray diligently

and we know this will heal.

Proverbs 3:5-6 ~ Trust in the Lord with all your heart

Proverbs 3:5-6 

 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Today, I talked to three people, "All Shook Up."  

Usually Election Day is filled with the joy of a race run and the finish line is Right There. 

And I read an article asking why so many Churches have crossed a line separating Church and State to speak up. People leaning Democratic feel hurt. Really, hurt.

Well, we have to answer this. It's not intended to separate. It's intended for Salvation.

And this isn't just the Churches. See Hollywood, California.

On Friday, the day after the second and final presidential debate, Google Trends, a website where Google posts information about what people are searching for in real-time, began showing a spike in the search phrase “Can you change your vote.”? The trend has continued over the weekend and into this week with web surfers asking not only can you change your vote, but how to do it.

If I were a Politician, I'd have to say the only effective style I have is, "The John Adams Bold Truth."

For me, this is basically a flowchart.

The number one reason people have spoken up this year is plainly: 

"Friends don't let Friends set fire to the planet."

Violence.  

Should never be acceptable. When violence happens, we need to speak up and speak up and speak up. And draw together. It's not acceptable for the Police to be policed by their very own partners called the Grand Jury.

Lying. Should not be the main support of an agenda. Peaceful protests, Peaceful protests, Peaceful protests, Peaceful protests, Peaceful protests, Peaceful protests. Do not involve - Violence. Telling the truth shouldn't involve suppressing the truth. Lying is going on when violence isn't labeled Violence.

When common ground is pushed aside. 

For the-thought-control-police to Be In Control. When only one agenda supports Violence.

When the Constitution was built to make sure Government should have a healthy regard for Freedoms of the People. And suddenly, there is one spoken agenda to support. One crucial, valid point of the Constitution is to maintain the Peace.

Why should Prisons not function? They exist to avoid Violence. 

Why should we have someone bailing out the violent out of prison and running for Office?

Immigration.  Avoid Violence.

The Border Towns of Mexico are so dangerous, the Citizens of the USA who have dual citizenry with Mexico, dare not drive the first 5 Mexican states that border the USA. Instead, they fly into Mexico City and numerous family members greet them at the airport to avoid being kidnapped (for hundreds of thousands of dollars) or killed.  Mexican Landowners, at the USA border, dare go outside at night fearing the Cartels. People have been hung to death on the border bridge to rot (or be shot at to remove the body). The murders in a month of Juarez equal the USA murder capital city for an entire year. The reason for Immigration is avoiding Violence.

Peace. 

We seek the peace for 8-year-old children to be protected with freedom to express their adult sexuality, when they are adults, without asking the former Vice-President of the USA for his approval. A child's protection to be an adult to make adult decisions. We should have laws giving children the right to be children at this point.

Peace. 

We seek the peace of the innocent. The unborn. The last thing a months old human baby, with a heartbeat, fingerprints, should have to think about is being ripped apart. Especially after being born. My cousin in-law was very pro-choice, she got a job with an abortionist and after viewing the sonogram of the baby fighting for the baby's life - the vacuum, my cousin was handed an intact several months old human arm, severed. This cousin in-law quit and sought forgiveness for participating in the murder of a human being. The USA has millions of women who do not celebrate this.

Peace and Prosperity. 

The 525 children at the Border have something in common with the Homeless, largely moved to San Francisco. They are in need. Not of big government, but programs with loving people to encourage them to Life. To have Homes.

Education. Peace and Prosperity.

We seek for the people of the USA to have School Choice. Equal Liberties under the Law. 

Life. Abundant Life.

  

John 10:9-10

I am the gate 

If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved. 

He will come in and go out and find pasture. 

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. 

I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.

We are finding people are facing their troubles conquered - Again.

This is causing some anxiety and some wild thoughts. People have some fears.

Fears can spike higher than the Virus itself. 

And we wonder if a tidal wave of our larger anxieties will peak. For some it will be hurricanes / wildfires, others Virus, some are baffled at the sheer noise and Volume of the Pandemic. Others the loss of savings in old age, the loss of a job, mental anguish. Disharmony in homes. We know some counties have seen suicide rates increase. It's just an odd time.

My family are big rememberers and talkers. And this is comfort to me. We have family memories of the Spanish Flu of 1918. We have overcoming the Great Depression - on several levels. Life is going to continue. My father's, unforeseen odd, sheer terror of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Black Tuesday.

Exactly like the explanation of why people have become verbal about Politics, where they might still be silent but have broadened their usual range. 

We are all seeking Peace. 

A shelter to give ourselves and those we love a framework to Hope, Faith and Love.

There is common ground. 

If we can hold to Hope for the next year, God is going to see us through again. I remember, so well, the woman in her late 20s weeping publicly how scary times are. Allow your true self room. Do not feel misty eyes and a heart drooping is the anguish of forever, or cowardly. Or wimpy.  The absence of needed fake stiff upper lip. Love yourself. Allow yourself the wisdom of anxiety in this year. Jesus never fired the Disciples. Allow yourself time to learn the skill of gathering it all back up. We are ALL facing the same thing we overcame last time. We have some new skills of understanding, we all can certainly text prayer requests and call.

Thomas. Doubting.

He is so real. He looked at newly living Lazarus and said, "We are going to get killed with Jesus." Evidently, Thomas had been listening to Jesus explaining this was coming. Isn't it greatly refreshing to think the Disciples had a dot of listening ability? Thomas - no one knows his exact fate. We do know Peter and John lived to old age. Jesus didn't look over at Thomas and condemn Thomas for his concerns. However, it's essential to note: Jesus Lives and so did/does Thomas.

Nahum 2 notices when God intends to destroy something - He does not strike twice. So... maybe we are fortunate to be facing this again - and more prepared. And we will say: Thank God. Thank God.
