John 1:1-18
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
Isaiah 61
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.
5 Strangers will shepherd your flocks;
foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.
6 And you will be called priests of the Lord,
you will be named ministers of our God.
You will feed on the wealth of nations,
and in their riches you will boast.
7 Instead of your shame
you will receive a double portion,
and instead of disgrace
you will rejoice in your inheritance.
And so you will inherit a double portion in your land,
and everlasting joy will be yours.
8 “For I, the Lord, love justice;
I hate robbery and wrongdoing.
In my faithfulness I will reward my people
and make an everlasting covenant with them.
9 Their descendants will be known among the nations
and their offspring among the peoples.
All who see them will acknowledge
that they are a people the Lord has blessed.”
10 I delight greatly in the Lord;
my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up
and a garden causes seeds to grow,
So the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness
and praise spring up before all nations.
John 20:29
Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
We sat with friends from Church and spoke of meaningful Christmases past. And some of our most vivid memories went back to the early part of the last century. Grandparents departed to Heavenly Home leaving memories of goodness and love. And Church Services. Where peace and contentment catch up with our eternal beings to create contact with God.
This is an out reach time of year for Churches. To create a peaceful time. To add to peace. Making a narrow path to God.
Don't miss out on Church. This Season has a Lot of Hope. We Expect Jesus. Faith, Hope and Love. Let the Love Father God has for you fill your heart.
God help us to fill those we love with renewed hope for years ahead filled with love. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Abba,
We Bless You, Father, You have Blessed us. Give us the Blessing to see and live in these Blessings.
Holy Spirit Live in our heart as we Live God's Good Will - we do have the God's Word - always, every day, each and every time we ask You, Father God, prayerfully to Know God's Love is effective.
We thank You, Father God for Your mercies. What makes life hard one day - is not difficult the next day. Your mercies renew, revise, restrengthen us for Your Plan. You are the Father of all of us.
We will stake our claim upon all of the research on prayer saying how much prayer changes life. And agree fervently. We will stay within understanding of God is God and we are His. And agree His Good Will is Good Will.
We will examine every day of our lives for what we see as God's Love and Care and be grateful. We will know we are in process and be in care of the tenderness of one another.
We will Abide in God as Father and Lord of All. And always earnestly pray for ourselves as we really are, for the people we Love, to see God's Blessings of Love, praying for the people He gives us and doing the hard work to bless them, asking God to sort out the Blessings to cover us all, only a God task. We will know our prayers make a difference and we pray for work places, we pray for our cities, our communities, our Churches. We pray for the Nation with Love and shine God's Love and on the praying and Jesus Loving people surrounding our earth with more Jesus, more Holy Spirit and more Abba.
We thank You, Abba. You Bless us. Amen in Jesus.
