Daniel 1
1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. 2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with some of the vessels of the house of God. And he brought them to the land of Shinar, to the house of his god, and placed the vessels in the treasury of his god.
Jehoakim Cuneiform: explaining the food rationing of the King and his named sons. Later, Cuneiform explain the sons and Jehoakim were welcomed to eat at the Chaldean Emperor's table daily.
3 Then the king commanded Ashpenaz, his chief eunuch, to bring some of the people of Israel, both of the royal family and of the nobility, 4 youths without blemish, of good appearance and skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king's palace, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.
5 The king assigned them a daily portion of the food that the king ate, and of the wine that he drank. They were to be educated for three years, and at the end of that time they were to stand before the king. 6 Among these were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah of the tribe of Judah. 7 And the chief of the eunuchs gave them names: Daniel he called Belteshazzar, Hananiah he called Shadrach, Mishael he called Meshach, and Azariah he called Abednego.
8 But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself.
And God gave
Daniel favor and compassion in the sight of the chief of the eunuchs
And the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who assigned your food and your drink; for why should he see that you were in worse condition than the youths who are of your own age? So you would endanger my head with the king.”
11 Then Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had assigned over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, 12 “Test your servants for ten days; let us be given vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then let our appearance and the appearance of the youths who eat the king's food be observed by you, and deal with your servants according to what you see.”
14 So he listened to them in this matter, and tested them for ten days. 15 At the end of ten days it was seen that they were better in appearance and fatter in flesh than all the youths who ate the king's food. 16 So the steward took away their food and the wine they were to drink, and gave them vegetables.
17 As for these four youths, God gave them
learning and skill in all literature and wisdom, and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
18 At the end of the time, when the king had commanded that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. 19 And the king spoke with them, and among all of them none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore they stood before the king. 20 And in every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters that were in all his kingdom.
21 And Daniel was there until the first year of King Cyrus.

The Babylonian Exile is well recorded by the Old Testament and the Chaldean Empire
and matches the Old Testament in the Babylonian Exile.
Daniel's Policy on The Art of Not Being Seen could be related to Bob Uecker, "Just a bit outside!"
Daniel was well known for understanding dreams. If Daniel didn't speak up, that knuckle ball would roll right on by. Daniel believed in speaking the Truth.
Since the year 2000 A.D., we live in the time frame being at the crest of God's 500-year mark.
God Acts every 500 years. Last time, 1500 A.D., the world became literate and Churches shone the Light of Worship like Acts 2. Worshiping God in our own languages. The Printing Press. The Renaissance was shining His Light, recognizing the unique gifts God has placed within all of His Beloved.
We should not give up our Freedoms to a political agenda asking us to be silent and conform.
Our 500-year mark is hoped and dares to dream to be Uplifting. Freeing us all. Pandemic historically produces something like the Disciples, each one has fear and trepidation and all the Gospels show different points of view. Jesus never asked the Disciples to just hush. He did ask if He was going to be asked to suffer this forever! And Jesus continued to have many, many conversations with people and asked them what they would say.
If we watched Jesus reading or watching the new today, this might be what Jesus would have to say. After all, Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow:
Mark 9:14-27
"14 And when they came to the disciples, they saw a great crowd around them, and scribes arguing with them. 15 And immediately all the crowd, when they saw Him, were greatly amazed and ran up to Him and greeted Him.
16 And He asked them, “What are you arguing about with them?”
17And someone from the crowd answered him, “Teacher, I brought my son to you, for he has a spirit that makes him mute. 18 And whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. So I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they were not able.”
19 And he answered them, “O faithless generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to me.”
20And they brought the boy to him. And when the spirit saw him, immediately it convulsed the boy, and he fell on the ground and rolled about, foaming at the mouth.
21And Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?”
And he said, “From childhood. 22And it has often cast him into fire and into water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
23 And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”
24 Immediately the father of the child cried outd and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
25And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”
26And after crying out and convulsing him terribly, it came out, and the boy was like a corpse, so that most of them said, “He is dead.”
27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.
When we have no idea what to say, gently goes this. Daniel's art of being seen, didn't involve blowing others up like Monty Python.
And be yourself. God is the Father who has said to us, "Love the Lord God with all your heart, soul and mind. Then love yourself." We have to love ourselves to be able to love others.
Micah 4:4 ~ Everyone shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid, for the Mouth of the LORD of Hosts has spoken
Jesus repeated the Gospels. And be yourself. God is the Father who has said to us, "Love the Lord God with all your heart, soul and mind. Then love yourself."
We have to love ourselves to be able to love others.

Galatians 4:3-7
In the same way we also, when we were children, were enslaved to the elementary principles of the world. 4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son,
then an heir
