Pandemic and Valentine's Day.
My Policy on Christmas is to shop all year and be ready. My idea about Valentine's Day is bathing suits are on sale in early January and the whole family got bathing suits. Red preferably. Or red shirts. And a fun dinner with gift bags. Woohoo!
God got me good and prepared for having two sons with Edward. My mother just wasn't interested in Valentine's Day. You got a card or gift money. And with two sons, a three-man household with male cat and male dog, you have to put up notes telling what you'd like to have happen. Practical outlook on certain outcomes.
I like Valentine's Day. The opportunity to have Fun. With zero expectation of Surprise. Valentine's Day at our house is like a green bean field, you get exactly what you plant, tend, water and weed. The crop is love and the joy of having Fun.
The day my mother's uncle passed on, we really didn't know him from our childhood, but my mother had always enjoyed him and traveled to be with him on his last day on earth. Allen was 94 years old and glad to see my mother. She asked him what he was thinking about and he said, "Today, I get to see my beautiful mother, Julia."
"I'm 94, and she died while I was in my twenties. Almost 70 years. Today, I will see my mother. One of the best days of my life was getting her a birthday present when I was six years old. And she said it was her favorite birthday and gift. Today, I will see my mother." I'm sure he did, I'm sure of this.
Valentine's Day to me is this adventure my great-grandmother Julia had with her 5 sons.
This great adventure.
I've seen three people ask about Valentine's Day this 2022.
One asked why a rose would have thorns. A gentle question.
Let's look at all the answers.1. A rose has such a beautiful aroma, the thorns are necessary for the rose to continue to bloom and provide rose hips with seeds. Without the thorns, the rose would be trampled. 2. If we let the bush grow, the rose will give us the rose without the thorns if we plan carefully and move delicately. 3. When we ponder thorns, we have had contact with the thorn.
The Prodigal Son's Father knew about thorns. Just as Jesus knows about thorns.
The Father had a lot to offer his Prodigal son.
But if the Father had given his son a rose without thorns, he would have not allowed the privilege to bring the son to bloom or provide a place for rose hips with seeds to flourish.
The inheritance, unwanted, would be sown along the path. As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the world, immediately he falls away from his inheritance.
As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who has the inheritance, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the inheritance, and it proves unfruitful.
The Prodigal Father let God's Will be done for the son he loved so much.
Thy Will Be Done.
Actually, both Father and son were called to surf. God's timing.
As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.
How was your Valentine Day? It need not have thorns. The roses can be gathered and given with great planning to avoid the thorns.
Abba, Father,
With Jesus, we pray with such joy and expectation.
Jesus told us to Pray and always have Hope.
Father, dwell in us, please help us to found Joyful to You.
Help us to seek You first.
Bless those I love and the People You've given me
to have You dwell in us all and Help us all Seek You First.
Strong in Jesus Christ.
Father, it is in the heart, mind and soul of all of our prayers
Your Kingdom is seen more and more on this earth.
We pray Thank You and Gratitude for the birds who were ill in 11 of the United States
to end the illness of Covid and join in this like the bird recovery.
Jesus has said to me and to you, "Pray for more of God's Good Kingdom
to be done on earth as in Heaven."
What astonishing Good Fortune!
How Blessed we are to Serve the God of Love.
Love God, Love His Creation, Ask for This Marvelous Help!
Pray with Hope, Expect You to be Pleased and Thrilled
and filled with Love at this Prayer.
And in the Power and Glory of the Highest Name of Jesus,
we will begin to look and see more of God's Heaven on this earth.

Let the Love God is Strengthen us to Joy.
