I Love the Lord.
We read Jesus was sometimes sought by His Disciples and asked to hurry along. Asking Him, work a little harder, this is what we are doing.
Mark 1:37. Really, that's astonishing and amazing effrontery.
Jesus is being told How To Run His Ministry. In the very first Chapter of Mark. Ok, why? Why did they feel it was their place to explain to the Messiah? Was Jesus just a little offended? We can find the answer to this. Oh really, how can we 'know.' Jesus is telling us. The Disciples jumped in because the Holy Spirit is moving.
Mark 1
1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
2 As it is written in Isaiah the prophet,
“Behold, I send my messenger before your face,
who will prepare your way,
3 the voice of one crying in the wilderness:
‘Prepare the way of the Lord,
make his paths straight,’”
Scriptures support Scripture.
2 Peter 1:21
For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man,
but men spoke from God
as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
Let's move with the Holy Spirit and live this particular day with Jesus.
Still in
Mark 1
35 And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark,
He departed and went out to a desolate place, and there He prayed.
36 And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him, 37 and they found Him and said to Him, “Everyone is looking for you.”
38 And He said to them, “Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out.”
Fully Human, Fully Divine. The most basic explanation for the hypostatic union is Jesus Christ being both fully God and fully man. He is both perfectly divine and perfectly human. The incarnation of God. His exact nature. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His Nature, and He upholds the universe by the Word of His Power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
How do we know? Jesus is recorded as sitting to teach, quite a lot. We know Gabriel stands in the presence of God. Psalms records, if we are angry, to pray upon our beds. Moses and Aaron fell face down to pray.
Notice standing to pray can be various heart intention.
Jesus told this parable:
10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’
13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
And Jesus... He sat to teach. Just plunked down. Moved men out of their jobs, their commercial places, and said He needed to sit in their desk chair. Jesus said, let me sit in your tractor. Jesus said, can I sit in your truck. Jesus saying, I need your conference room. Actually, Jesus said," I need to use your boat, can you back it up some for the acoustics."
Jesus sat with the ill, the destitute, the Temple Officials, the Synagogue Rulers and his daughter, the om Mary Magdalene, the blind yelling at him, and men hanging out in Sycamore Trees. The Christ of God knew names, jobs and homes. And He said, "I'm coming to your house today."
Jesus had a plan? John, go over to this town, and you will see a colt, untie it for me.
John didn't seem eager to go. Jesus explained, "Tell them The Lord has need of the colt."
Jesus would say audacious words like the most wonderful counselor. His miracles were like the Mighty God, He told of an everlasting Father. And Jesus was using His Words to save his people from their sins.
Jesus proclaims:
… Thou shalt call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1: 21
…Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world! John 1:29
…they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, the song of The Lamb Revelation 15:3

…Before Abraham, I Am. John 8:58
…And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God. John 1: 34
…We have found the Messiah which, is being interpreted, the Christ. John 1:41

Luke 2:10
But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you;
He is Christ the Lord.
Jesus was surrounded by the faithful, the hopeful, the devout. The thief of Righteousness, Betrayer. The self-important critics. The ill, the dying. Great Crowds of needs and hopes. Controversy.
Did Jesus ever just feel overwhelmed? Beat down. Fussed. Working to be positive and then just annoyed? Pushing annoyance back, to rise again.
To be fully human, Jesus would know striving and feeling burned at each end.
Jesus says this to the crowd looking for him:
John 7
28 So Jesus cried out, as he taught in the temple, “You know me,
and you know where I come from.
But I have not come of my own accord. He who sent me is true, and him you do not know. 29 I know him, for I come from him, and he sent me.”
John 10:32
Jesus said, “At my Father’s direction I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone me?”
John 9:4
As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.
How will we tell of Jesus? How will we open up? When the Lord provides a teaching time. A teachable moment. We will say what Jesus has brought us.
1 John 1:1-5
John's Life and what he has amazingly seen:
John saw Jesus say:
John heard:
So Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, “You know me,
and you know where I come from.
But I have not come of my own accord. He who sent me is true, and him you do not know. 29 I know him, for I come from him, and he sent me.”
1 That which was from the beginning
Which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes,
which we looked upon and have touched with our hands,
concerning the Word of Life—
The Life was made manifest
And we have seen it,
and testify to it
and proclaim to you the eternal life,
which was with the Father and was made manifest to us—
That which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you,
So that you too may have fellowship with us;
and
indeed our fellowship is with the Father
and
with his Son Jesus Christ.
And we are writing these things so that our joy
may be complete.
This is the message we have heard from Him
and proclaim to you,
that God is Light,
and in Him is no darkness at all.
Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and
through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire
you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
