An unusual turn of events began our Sunday morning.
I woke up with a bug/bee stinger in my ankle and a 5" inch radiating bug bite on my stomach. Hurting. Duct taped the stinger and it was pus. Then turned to bathe, to see if all this would subside. Epsom Salt did the trick and felt so very much better. Because this is the 2nd serious sting/bite this week, I jumped wholeheartedly into bug spraying the bedroom everywhere. So much so, the floor became very slick, and I did the splits while landing on my front leg on my knee. It was a human crash.
Now, howling with pain, I realized I had a purple blood blister immediately about 2 inches. Edward was in profound sympathy, gazing at the purple mark. Soaked this in Epsom Salt for about 30 minutes and the mark, miraculously, disappeared, but the pain remained. We decided to go to early evening Church.
Unfortunately, as we left for early evening Church, the bug spray caught up with my inner workings. No matter, just a bit of stomach over the counter med. Now, clothing malfunction, because the required garments were missing, now. Located. Was putting this on when Edward went into a meltdown, over being late to Church. However, now the bathroom was calling. The phone rang, Edward was in the car and leaving. So, I hurried to get out, but now my purse had to be found. Then, you have to wonder about the Hand of God. As I approached the door next to our refrigerator, the doorknob refused, refused, refused to twist. This door worked all day perfectly. Now to locate my phone, use the house phone, which promptly went dead.
Good news, now my cell phone is found, because Edward is Howling, and is calling my cellphone. I said, you won't believe this! I'm locked into the house, the door knob won't turn. Nooo!!! Edward gasped and turned around, driving down the block to face me through the glass door. I pointed to the door knob. His key twisted the lock. He had been working on the dead bolt. So then the door opened and Edward said I'm in the car in 5 seconds. Do not dare to talk to me! See, it THIS was the Hand of God! Sometimes one has all the luck.
About 20 minutes later, Edward said list what happened, this attempt to go to Church. Ok. Diarrhea. Lost Clothing. Found Clothing. Meltdown. We know who that was. Bathroom again. Phone died. Retrieve Phone. Locked INSIDE THE HOUSE. Edward decided to relent, hearing about the bug spray induced Med taking. And then, traffic jam. We discuss routes and alternatives. And the traffic moves. We travel ten more minutes and find we sit for 15 minutes in sudden Sunday Evening dead standstill Jam. Do a U turn and have Cheesecake out. Church at 8 PM on YouTube.
Our Father, Who is in Heaven
Psalm 138:7,8
Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
You preserve my life
You stretch out Your Hand
against the wrath of my enemies,
and
Your Right Hand
delivers me.
The Lord will fulfill His Purpose for me;
Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the Work of Your Hands.
We make our plans. God will answer. The Lord doesn't just sit in Heaven. His Good Creation is the earth, yesterday, today and tomorrow. The fullness of the earth is His. We have the privilege of praying for more of His Good Will, not just in Heaven but on earth.
Psalm 27:13
I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of The Lord
in the land of the living!
Psalm 138
The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me; Your steadfast Love,
O LORD,
endures forever.
Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this:
He who began a good work in you
Will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Job 14:15
You will call,
and I will answer;
You will desire the work of Your Hands.
Psalm 57:2
I cry out to God Most High,
to God who fulfills His purpose for me.
Psalm 29:11
The LORD will give strength unto His people;
the LORD will bless His People
with peace.
There are seasons in life, when what is evil will press us to have doubt. Doubt never killed the Disciples. John kept showing up, believing showing up in the prayer and presence of God would not fail those who trust in the Lord. It's a difficult time in life to be pressed on so many sides.
Psalm 138:3
In the day when I cried thou answeredst me,
and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
We may carry the weight of the world in the unexpected concerns that arrive in our minds, during this Season. And thoughts of the troubles we took for granted as covered. The people we rely upon may go. And yet, when asked, did you find joy? We can reply honestly, we have found Joy. Even when the howls of outrageous evil ask us to fear.
Psalm 27:14
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage,
and He shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the LORD.
1 Corinthians 16:13
Be on the alert. Stand firm in the faith.
Be men of courage.
Be strong.
Psalm 40:1
I waited patiently for the LORD;
He inclined to me and heard my cry.
Psalm 62:5
Rest in God alone, O my soul,
for my hope
comes from Him.
Psalm 130:5
I wait for the LORD;
my soul does wait,
and in His word
I put my hope.
