Matthew 7:21-29
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
28 And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, 29 for He was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.
One of the unique things about the Gospels, there are 89 chapters and Jesus is recorded going into the Synagogue about 26 times. When Jesus is saying to us about leading worthy lives, having a worthy heart, mind, body and soul for His Salvation, Jesus isn't placing this upon The Temple.
If we wanted to pair this to one of the Chapters, which one?
Luke 19
19 He entered Jericho and was passing through.
2 And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus.
He was a chief tax collector and was rich. 3 And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature.
So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for he was about to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him,
“Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.”
6 So he hurried and came down and received Him joyfully.
7 And when they saw it, they all grumbled, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.” 8 And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.”
9 And Jesus said to him,
“Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham.
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
The Children of God. And where will we place the blame on damnation, the wrath of God. Upon the soul itself and the choices made deliberately by that soul. Opinions come and go. Our ideas pass away. The Word of God stands forever.
We don't run the Universe or uphold the Universe.
Like Jesus and Zachaesus, Jesus is easy to know and recognize.
All depends on Jesus recognizing us in our words, heart, effort and lives.
15 So I am eager to preach the Gospel to you also who are in Rome.
16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the Power of God
for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written,
“The righteous shall live by faith.”
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.
19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
20 For His invisible attributes, namely, His Eternal Power and Divine Nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give Thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
We live, according to the Word of God, by every word of God. Dot and iota.
Therefore, we can leave the discussion what choices get us into hell. We already know where God shines His Presence. However, if you have confusion, you could read the Word of God. And hear directly from The Lord. Revelation 21
Really? Yes. God upholds the Universe with the Power of His Word.
1 Samuel 2:6
The LORD brings death and makes alive;
He brings down to the grave and raises up.
Is the Kingdom of Heaven worth seeking? YES.
Revelation 22:16-17
“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things
for the churches.
I am the root and the descendant of David,
the bright morning star.”
17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.”
And let the one who hears say, “Come.”
And let the one who is thirsty come;
let the one who desires take the water of Life
without price.
When will we know we have found the Kingdom of Heaven, given as a gift from Jesus Christ? The gift of His Life. I believe we know this as well. John 14, 15, 16, 17 tell us of His Joy.
Matthew 13:44-46
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up.
Then in his joy
he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, 46 who, on finding one pearl of great value,
went and sold all that he had
and bought it.
And in this JOY
God would say!
Revelation 7:9-10
After the vision of these things I looked,
and there was a great number of people,
so many that no one could count them.
They were from every nation,
tribe,
people,
and language
of the earth.
Would this be like lucky charms and Jesus the imp?
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
24 “Everyone then who hears these Words of Mine
and does them
will be like a wise man
who built
his house
on the rock.

The times of History, when cultures decided they knew good and evil to decide. "When every man decided for himself." Are the times we wonder at the mess recorded in Scriptures. Eve. Esau. The Tribe of Benjamin. Judas.
My personal response to these events in life, times, seasons and culture:
"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. "
“Everyone then who hears these Words of Mine
and does them
will be like a wise man
who built
his house
on the rock.
Yesterday's Post discussed the Deuteronomy version of corruption: A priest who would tear a widow from her house, for gain. House. House isn't just home. House is history, our roots. House is family line. House is children and a future. House is shelter and freedom. House is a legacy of life's work.
We would never want to do these things.
Jesus sincerely tells us He is The Way, The Truth and The Life.
God the Father, provides for Abraham, his children and gives them an inheritance of Israel. He asks, as He did for Adam, to tend the land. God calls the earth His Good Creation and sees Good. God provides. God did not just give to King Moses or The Temple and ask His Children to work without ceasing. God, importantly, rests on the 7th day. God wants Love as shelter and the ability to make choices. Free Will. This is His Governance.
Revelation 22
And let the one who is thirsty come;
let the one who desires take the water of Life
without price.
John 8:31
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him,
“If you abide
in My Word,
you are truly My Disciples,
and you will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free.”
Who will be saved?
Abba, Father,
Help us each day to fulfill Your plans for us
in Church
and our daily thoughts, ways and life,
and the work You would have us do.
and the work You would have us do.
You could have given everything
to King Moses
or The Temple
and, instead,
You Bless and Bless
Your Children.
Be in the world,
not of the world.
Be our Light and our direction.
You are with us
to
to
the end
of the age.
In the Highest Name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
