Proverbs 3:25-27
25 Do not be afraid of sudden panic,
or the storm of wickedness that will come.
26 Yahweh will be your confidence
and guard your foot from capture.
27 Do not withhold good from its owner
when it is in the power of your hand to do.
When I became a Christian, a very dark Granbury, Texas night at Camp Crusis in March, I was turning 16 years old. And the question was put under the light of The Presence of the Body of Christ in Transfigured, Consecrated Host. Did I believe God? Did I believe Him to be Loving? Did I believe His Word is true and good? Did I believe the Bible is the Word of God. Jesus saves the world in His Love, when we believe. Yes and does. That night, all my safety walls of comfortable dodging came down. I felt the Light of God within me, He has not deserted me, even when I doubt and am blind or un-bright. Unenlightened.
And in God, I am a far more bold person, than I have been. Far more daring. Far more self-confident. Far more square. Far more praying. Far more loving. Flawed. And a worrier.
My sons both proclaim I was an outstanding Mother. And live far away. One son explained, people are not comfortable being defined by belief and faith. We need more personal navigation. And I agree. No one should have faith shoved down their throat like Jimmy Swaggart did as a child. The story of Life is the Prodigal Son and the Willing and Running Father.
And being flawed. This Proverbs 3 verse about having sudden panic - applies to my life and my thoughts. I was the oldest child. My parents were only children. My grandmothers waited 6 years for a grandchild. I was ten by the time my only sibling began to speak in phrases. I have concerns. And a lot of my concerns are often valid. The world I live in rocks and shakes and in faith is steadied again.
About 2 pm, I was talking to the Out-of-Town Realtor about neighbors. I recalled one man in the best part of the City, said he'd lived in his house for 50 years, and the last 20 years have seen upwardly mobile people act really badly. So badly, he introduces himself as a working, trial attorney and tells them he will be very polite during their 5-year neighbor duration and hopes they will be polite as well.
And we spoke of the neighbor of my mom's, who offered assistance to my 87-year-old mom, with live in caregiver, for groceries during Texas Snovid. And ditched her. He spoke with me last year with a European accent. And this year, did not. In fact, he never thanked me for the work we did on our properties, I did. And he won't speak to the Realtor and her husband.
Another neighbor is great and shows up when my mom is 88, is in a semi-vegetative condition and brings her roses. Another neighbor is helping another neighbor tie yellow and blue ribbons on trees. Pandemic things.
Today, about 3 pm, I suddenly realized I was having Anxiety. And I began to pray, which is a pattern with me. Usually, I just use steel belts mentally and assure me I'm allowed to worry, so stop. It's not always very effective. Today was better. I decided that I was not having a psychic moment and all would be ok. And I leaned into God and thought of The Chosen. The Angel Movie Production. I suddenly felt Joy all over again. God is my refuge. My safe harbor. My Father, He upholds me. For as worried as I felt, suddenly my reassurance level was far greater. Ahhhhh Antioch.
So, about 4 pm, Edward started showing me his work. And suddenly, I wondered if there was something to worry about. News is just weird these days. And I recalled my prayers about holding and being held by the Lord. I felt better again.
About 7 pm I realized the work on the house, had something quite wrong. And I felt all my anxieties rise back up. Probably I had a good 30 minutes of worry. Something unique happened, I realized I'd done a lot of anxiety today. The answer is still Jesus.
What moves us to leave fear? The answer is Jesus. What moves us to retain a loving heart?
To do the good we can, what is available and God has given at hand. To cook a meal, to help with shared yards. Laugh when it is bad and it can be funny. To plot. Laughing at your own plots. Amusing yourself. Be Angry. Don't bore people with your boring stories. Stop when stop is needed.
The answer is Jesus. We don't have to be God. Jesus is God for us. Watch the movie, "The Chosen!"
Recently, I was asked do I realize I sound like God loves me More. He does. And He loves you More, Just as Much. We are called to be Like MIB, having seen more, having loved, having endured, we believe God will save the world in Jesus Christ - Again. We just all need reminders!
The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.
Calling the wind and waves to be calm.
Imagine the Disciples surrounded by fire.
They had to believe Jesus meant them no harm.
The fire arrived and they had betrayed God.
To be part of the Holy Spirit, they had to Trust GOD to be God.
Remember Elijah.
What would describe the tumultuous years better?
1 Kings 19
11 Then the LORD said, “Go out and stand on the mountain before the LORD. Behold, the LORD is about to pass by.”
And a great and mighty wind tore into the mountains and shattered the rocks before the LORD,
but the LORD was not in the wind.
After the wind there was an earthquake,
but the LORD was not in the earthquake.
12 After the earthquake there was a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire.
And after the fire came a still, small voice.
13When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.
Suddenly a voice came to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
What are you doing here?
The work given to mankind is to believe the One He sent.
We believe we Love the Lord
and are close to His Heart
and we please Him.
Matthew 25
“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!
You have been faithful with a few things;
I will put you in charge of many things.
Come and share your master’s happiness!’
22 “The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’
23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!
You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.
Come and share your master’s happiness!’
Elijah had conversations with God.
In Comfort
In Awe
In Obedience to His Prayers and Faith
In Faith, with Comfort, with Jesus in the wind
Jesus in the Fire,
we believe God.
Hebrews 11:6
Without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for he who comes to God must believe that he is
and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Jesus tells us Life is Joy.
What is the Master's Happiness?
John 14:1
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me."
John 14:15
If you love me, keep my commands.
John 14:16
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever
John 14:2
My Father's house has plenty of room; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
John 15:1
I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
John 15:12
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
John 16:33
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
John 16:23
In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
John 17:3
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
John 17:20
My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message
John 17:21
That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
John 15:16
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit – fruit that will last – and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
Abba, Father,
Blessed are the Merciful. They shall receive Mercy.
From Jesus, we ask this.
To receive fullness of Grace upon Grace in Jesus Christ.
Cover us in the Highest Name of Jesus
and we are saved.
Abba, Father,
Thank You, Father God, for Your Wonders, half almost, of a New Year.
You make all things new in Jesus Christ.
Jesus tells us You are working and Jesus with You.
We pray for Texas drought recovery.
We pray for heat wave and drought recovery across Your Good Creation.
And we ask for fewer weather incidents.
More of Your Holy Spirit this New Year, having You dwell in us
God of Love.
God of Encouragement.
For our history, our generations
have pleased You
Loving and Caring for our Children.
Look with us, and Bless us, Father.
Smile upon us, remembering
our heart to please our families
and You.
Forgive us when we err
in weakness, need and fear.
Strengthen us in Your Love.
Thanks be to Jesus, for His Grace upon Grace.
I will wait upon God all the days of my life and dwell in the House of Lord
for His Word to me. Alleluia.
This is as sure as the Promises of God for us in eternity who call upon Jesus.
Speak the Word, God and I shall be well.
Psalm 139:1-18,23-24
O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3 You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
5 You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.
7 Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
9 If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
12 even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.
13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
Abba,
Your wrath is covered when we believe in Jesus.
Psalm 139 is the perfect reminder in all of Psalm 139.
Jesus helps us daily to find the path of Love and Encouragement.
Abba,
You have Blessed this Nation and believing Nations
with an Open Always Prayer Life
being who we are and believing You make us better and more loving.
We can look at Psalm 139
and remember the generations of people and families
doing all they can for their children in complex life
needing Jesus as Savior.
Your Word
gives us Hope
Love
Faith
Encouragement
We can ask for Your Holy Spirit to know
all of us
every cell
every molecule
Just as water is a wonder
You have created us as Wonders of Your Creation

every cell
the hairs on our head
we have been filled with the
Light of Jesus Christ
and only the better
for Jesus to be the Light within us.

the Light filling this complex time

Knowing Summer then follows Christmas

and Christmas renews us in Hope
New Years is Jesus giving us pause to

As we are asked to remind God
to bless us with more Heaven on earth,
His Good Will be done.
To You, our Father, be the Glory
Our God is an Awesome God! Amen
and Alleluia
in Jesus Christ and His Glory!
Matthew 13:31,32
Jesus put before them another parable: “The Kingdom of Heaven
is like a mustard seed that a man planted in his field.
Although it is the smallest of all seeds,
yet it grows into the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree,
so that the birds of the air come
and
nest in its branches.”
