John 16:20-24 ~ your sorrow will turn into Joy

John 16:20-24

 

Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into Joy.

21 When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for Joy that a human being has been born into the world.

22 So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will Rejoice, and no one will take your Joy from you. 23 In that day you will ask nothing of me.

Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, He will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name.

Ask, and you will receive, that your Joy may be full.

John 14:31

I do exactly what the Father has commanded Me,

 so that the world may know 

that I love the Father. 

Rise! Let us go on from here.

Matthew 2:19-21 

But when Herod died, 

behold, 

an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 

saying,

 

“Rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel,

 for those who sought the child's life are dead.” 

21 And he rose and took the child and his mother and

 went to the land of Israel.

Matthew 9:6 

That you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins 

—He then said to the paralytic—“Rise, pick up your bed and go home.”

When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces 

and were terrified. 

7 But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and have no fear.”

 8 And when they lifted up their eyes, 

they saw no one 

but 

Jesus only.

2 Thessalonians 2

May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and 

God our Father, 

who loved us

 and by His grace 

gave us eternal encouragement 

and good hope,  

17 encourage your hearts 

and strengthen you 

in every good deed and word.

Display the Overwhelming Love God 

has for all of His Good Creation. You.

Jesus describes this Life as Joy. The Joy of the Lord is our Strength.

Abba, Father,

Dwell in us,

Give us Your Blessing, we ask.

Let the Joy we have in You

be our Strength.

In Jesus, we want Your help to seek You first.

And we will finish well in Jesus Christ!

For my son Alexander to find employment locally.

For Cal, far away and his safe travel.

In this day, 

we will make Requests of Jesus.

In the Holy Name of Jesus,

We pray all those who have been

strengthened and encouraged

during the Pandemic

in their faith,

Will Remain in Your Joy and Love.

We Pray for this Nation

and the turbulence we see

we pray for truth.

We pray for Ukraine

the people will not have the 

Easter of last year

or during the Pandemic.

We pray for their Strength.

We pray for our families

not to accept the unacceptable

for their Children.

A Nation protects their Children.

Now to Father God, Who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

The Mercy of Your Touch, Jesus. Amen.
