Joshua 24:15
"If serving the LORD seems undesirable to you,
then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve,
whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.
But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."
Zechariah 7: 8,9
And the word of the Lord came to Zechariah, saying, “Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, 10 do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart."
Micah 6:8
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
James 5:11
See how blessed we consider those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen the outcome from the Lord. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
We all have days in our lives when our faces are filled with grief. Not anyone's favorite thing to look all out, grieved. This last two weeks, the last grown child we have living locally has been offered a job to move to another city with his brother.
My son wants to continue to use his education and joy building skyscrapers. And in the unique fashion of God, he has a new job and is assigned with 4 other men on a project in Denver. The 4 men are from Houston and worked with Alexander on his last Houston skyscraper. Alexander asked me what this meant, I said I'm sure it indicates you will live in Houston again.
His brother, just as he arrives, had notice from his employer, 70 people will be let go because horrendous weather is on the wane. Good news. He is an attorney, looking at an interview with medical legalities tomorrow. God bless him with spiritual food.
My older son wanted another Husky dog like our wonderful Jackson, and now my younger son will bring his two Husky puppies to our older son. We did puppy camp, but finally the iphone being eaten as mouths of bloody treat, started to wane when every visit was a disaster of holes, eaten family silver, chewed sofas, shredded ottomans, eaten wallets, until the puppies were called monsters. By all of us. And now we will miss the little monsters. And shredded clothing, dog toys, doors shredded. Holes under the fence and the jacuzzi they put in. And all turned muddy so only their eyes showed. I can tell you, the little monsters enjoyed all of it.
My Grandmother Anita informed my mother, when we moved to France, this was a Sin. I'm trying to deal with this more gently. My sons will look forward to mega hiking, rough off-roading, climbing mountains with shale and lightning stories later, tents that flood with rainwater, snowboarding near sheer drops of death. Probably some hunting as well. There isn't a reason to sit in the snow weather to find they have plans every weekend.
We have been cheerfully invited over and over. Edward and I glory in the Texas weather and have enjoyed all the Gulf of Mexico adds to the warmth. Probably, and certainly, it's only Jesus keeping my mouth shut and opening it only graciously.
I miss Little League Baseball
I'm really pretty shocked. But each day is a gift. We are here to live. To find what God has given. To grieve sincerely and not be a wet blanket. How. Well, we find out daily. Alexander has been with us half of each week, this year. Now he will be gone. He has made tremendous art with his talent for me to enjoy. We have projected left and right. It's leaving me to think of the Exodus planning family businesses, and now we move to find employment.
Usually, when something happens, you know, like finding a tumor. Job loss. Decline of parents, I find a Scripture and hold on to this. Tonight, I was thinking of all the ways the Scriptures gently tell us not to even hold on too tightly to the ones we love. But I have decided to petition the Lord we love so much and put out this Scripture as the one to hold on to:
James 5:11
See how blessed we consider those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen the outcome from the Lord. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
Romans 12
9
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
So in the interests of healing, finding joy in life and being sincere, let's have a post on....
SULKING
2 Timothy 2:15
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
Philippians 2:3
Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
1 Peter 2:1-25
So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
1 John 2:1-29
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
2 Corinthians 5:19
That is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
FINDING COMFORT
Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Abba, Father,
Nothing is too Hard for God.
The Scriptures tell us 72 times and I believe You.
Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer,
believe that you have received it,
and it will be yours.
I believe Your Promises to me. Lord Jesus.
Give us this Day:
I believe Your Promises to me. Lord Jesus.
Give us this Day:
Psalm 118:24
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
Matthew 6:9-13
Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Psalm 84:11
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Romans 12:12
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace.
In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart;
I have overcome the world.”
Thank You, Jesus Christ.
Lord of All.
Amen.

1 John 1 ~ Our Joy may be fulfilled
The Video again starts with You Tube giving us their opinion. His hair looks Marvelous.
1 John 1
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life--
2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us--
3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 And we are writing these things so that our joy may be fufilled.
5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
If you haven’t taken part in the yanny/laurel controversy over the last couple of days, allow me to sincerely congratulate you. But your time is up. The viral speech synth clip has met the AI hype train and the result is, like everything in this mortal world, disappointing.
Sonix, a company that produces AI-based speech recognition software, ran the ambiguous sound clip through Google, Amazon and Watson’s transcription tools, and of course its own.
Google and Sonix managed to get it on the first try — it’s “laurel,” by the way. Not yanny. Laurel.
But Amazon stumbled, repeatedly producing “year old” as its best guess for what the robotic voice was saying. IBM’s Watson, amazingly, got it only half the time, alternating between hearing “yeah role” and “laurel.” So in a way, it’s the most human of them all.
One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all
Thank you ya'll! Really. Really.
