Happy Father's Day! In the last fifteen years, people say being in your 60's is the new 40's, but evidently Not considering the Chart.
Luke 21:5-19
5 And while some were speaking of the Temple,
How it was adorned with noble stones and offerings, he said, 6 “As for these things that you see, the days will come when there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”
7 And they asked him, “Teacher, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?”
8 And he said, “See that you are not led astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and, ‘The time is at hand!’ Do not go after them. 9 And when you hear of wars and tumults, do not be terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end will not be at once.”
10 Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven. 12 But before all this they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name's sake.
13 This will be your opportunity to bear witness.
14 Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, 15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict. 16 You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death. 17 You will be hated by all for my name's sake.
18 But not a hair of your head will perish. 19 By your endurance you will gain your lives.
How was Your Father's Day?
Did you notice what an ultra slow news day today was? Seems as though Father's Day got as much attention as Mother's Day this year!!!
Father's Day. To whom much is given, much is required.
I'm going to Start this on An Upbeat Truth.
In my family, we have collected and remembered our dreams of Heaven. My maternal grandmother, Anita, frequently dreamed of my grandfather in Heaven. My paternal grandmother, Bit, dreamed of her father and her grandmother. These real dreams are Heaven's Vision and are accompanied by life changing fruit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. My visit with my great-aunt Clarice at the very Gates of Heaven, gave a prophetic prayer, the dream occurred in 1995 and was fulfilled in 2018. I have zero doubt seeing your loved one in Heaven with appropriate Holy Spirit Fruit is entirely real.
The last time I saw Daddy, he was in Heaven visiting with me with my Grandmother Bit. We had a marvelous visit and great conversations as we did have for so many, many years. It was time to leave, Daddy said to me, " Some days are pretty rough. I'll be here waiting for you, and you should be glad to know how many, many years it will be from now and your life will be so full - and I will be missing you and waiting for you here, I Love You."
Life is Bear Hunt.
With Life being a Bear Hunt, I know for a decade, I'd skip Church on Father's Day. While I loved my Daddy, the last 8 years of his life was less than ideal after my parent's divorce. All Stories have two sides and my mother had filed for divorce as life had gotten rocky, as Life always does. My father's behavior had prompted her to file.
1 Corinthians 13
3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;[b] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends.
The work of mankind is to believe Jesus Christ. Perfect Love belongs to God and this is a gift of faith. The rest of us will work on being God's Loving Kindness.
Life has decades of bravery and strength and there are times of fear and failing, where God would have us to have mercy. And as Jude, the Brother of Jesus says, to be polite in the face of being in the presence of evil. The graphic at the top speaks of seasons and the Scriptures speak of seasons. It's not necessarily the end of the world we read of - it's tough times all lives will have. The Scriptures have layers.
Doing the Hard Work with Life Going Forward!
If we are going to talk about, face the truth of equality and opportunity - let's talk about - Men and Fatherhood.
If we forge ourselves saying we are a rock solid chain of mankind pulling each other up - let's talk about doing the hard work and righting what we can do.
The Year my Parents Divorced
My ten year old brother began to be afraid of accidentally being poisoned or choking on food. As a suddenly latch key child - a dear friend stepped in to being family - to provide a safe haven for him to have after school. We had an adult aged male in his 40's decide I didn't need college, he was going to move in with us. (He did not and was not at all part of our lives.) Which was really awful, considering no one could exactly remember his first name as he continued to just show up. My mother and her brother were at extreme odds suddenly. My father didn't want us having sympathy from his mother and asked us to quit speaking to our Grandmother - which didn't happen.
And I know divorced fathers who give up on their children and say, "I will in Heaven." Let's examine this for a second. Not all political discussion is about Politics. This isn't policy - this is personal broiling anger about a dad leaving and not coming back. And when you know this story - you just don't go where Angels fear to tread.
And is this factual?
Biblically... Yes.
Ephesians 3:14-15
14 for this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I ask that out of the riches of His glory He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being.
Vikings love Valhalla. War, conquests, beheadings, violent crime - good times. Jesus isn't That. If your Aunt Mussolini is hell on wheels and has made misery - Jesus is not putting her with you in Heaven. You weren't really family on earth.
Why we do Justice with Mercy and Walk Humbly with God...
Jude 1
You, beloved, building yourselves up
in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit
Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ
that leads to eternal life.
22 And have mercy on those who doubt
23 save others by snatching them out of the fire;
to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.
24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless
before the presence of His glory with great joy.
To the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord,
be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority,
before all time and
now and forever. Amen.
Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ
that leads to eternal life.

God's Word is Specific.
We ask for more Heaven on earth, by God's own invitation. We provide what we can of Mercy, Peace and Love.
His Apostles witness to knowing God:
1 John 1:1
That which was from the beginning,
which we have heard,
which we have seen with our eyes,
which we have looked at and our hands have touched
--this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.
God is proclaimed to be "God of Love." "God of encouragement." Not god of ignore. Not god of someday. Not god of pie in the sky by and by. God says pray constantly. He wants our conversations constantly. Not god tried once. Jesus is our Road to Emmaus. He walks with us to find what is warm. God is seeking and giving the warmth of Joy. Love. Fellowship. Encouragement. Love.
Luke 1 tells us of fathers being brought to love sons.
In this Pandemic and Equality Time - when we want all of life to become warmer as we defeat this gigantic cold virus - - - why can't we say the time is right for all children to encourage fathers?
And fathers to love and help and encourage all children.
Malachi 4:6
And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction.
Utter Destruction - isn't all that we hope for.
Micah 6:8
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Micah said we all are going to do Justice, with Mercy and Find Humility as we walk with God.
Father God, Abba,
We always pray to Find You First. Seeking and Finding More Heaven on earth.
To help us to find More Golden Years.
We are People with the Help of Jesus,
Redemption
Strength.
Praying the Victory of these days and Virus end!
In Jesus to find more love, more family, less divorce and divisions.
More Love and more Equality. The Awakening of His Holy Spirit.
