What would you do if your city had been fiscally unbalanced? After 5 years of unbalanced and increasing Budget. And suddenly millions of people in the streets wanted a major component defunded?
There once was a family member who moved to the North. And being unused to the extreme temperature changes, he wore thermal underwear to school. And upon the school bully finding the thermal underwear, the bully started to scream, "Thermal Underwear!!!" Instead, the school bully was calmed down, being told, "No, no it's only cut off socks." Crisis adverted.

De Blasio and Council, Facing Fiscal Crisis Over Virus, Agree on Budget With Big Cuts
The Mayor and City Council pared $1 billion in funding for the Police Department, but nearly half of that would come from budgetary sleight of hand.
New York, like the rest of the country, was forced to lock down its economy to limit the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, which has taken 22,000 lives in the city. The shutdown helped control the spread of the virus, but it also created a $9 billion revenue shortfall that will have a sharp impact on New Yorkers’ lives.
Mayor Bill de Blasio, a Democrat, had already shrunk estimated spending by $7.4 billion this year, but needed to find another $1 billion in savings before the city’s July 1 budget deadline for the coming fiscal year. The gloomy $88.1 billion budget is roughly $5 billion less than the one the city approved last year.

$1 Billion Is Shifted From N.Y.P.D. in a Budget That Pleases No One
“We can’t allow folks from outside our community to lecture us about Black lives,” said a City Council member, opposing the police cuts. Other Council Members wanted more Police cuts.
Cuts include eliminating the residential composting program and closing city pools for the summer. Trash pickups will be reduced, and overnight service on the Staten Island Ferry will be curtailed. Fewer police traffic agents will be deployed at intersections, and tree pruning and tree stump removal will be less frequent.
And for the first time in his tenure, the mayor drew down on the city’s reserves, tapping $4 billion in savings to help balance the budget, much of it from the retiree health benefits fund, a move that does not affect retiree benefits in the short term.
Mr. de Blasio still believes the city needs to find $1 billion in labor savings.
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, a Democrat, and the State Legislature have declined to give New York City the authority to borrow money to pay for operating costs.
After speaking with Senate Democrats on Monday, Scott M. Stringer, the city comptroller and a 2021 mayoral candidate, agreed.
“The mayor has requested $7 billion and now $5 billion in borrowing authority without providing data or rationale,” Mr. Stringer, a Democrat, said in a statement. “Our children do not owe the mayor a blank check.”
The city’s budget has grown drastically under Mr. de Blasio — to $92 billion in 2019 from roughly $73 billion in 2014.
What we are seeing is the Pandemic reacting to life. The stresses of life reach a City in Crisis over 22,000 deaths. We have so much information to process - in my area Covid-19 is increasing in Houston. Over improper social distancing and the belief the young weren't influenced by the Virus.
Last Friday, our area was a ghost town. Today, it was crowded. The Change? Too much information to decide what our stand should be. Even the normally controlled, and kindly, Rand Paul had an upset with Dr. Fauci. And we found patience - helped calm us all down.
We are chosen by God, to be the firm stand for His Goodness.
John 15:1-12
I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. 11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you."
If we are going to see giant displays of upsetting behavior, flashes in the pan upsets - we know to be gentle with ourselves. And give space for healing. Give time for the flow of adaptable measures to regain our footing.
Solutions will be found.
One of the Suburbs in Dallas, Texas is Richardson. Richardson gives civilians interested in Police work, Volunteer Training. Training available in all areas will decrease unemployment. There are still young men who always loved Police Stories. People with High Ideals and Hopes. Two people in my family have been Police Volunteers. The Virus will be gone. Medicines improve. Japan has low numbers masking up.
Tomatoes are rediscovered to actually be vines. And when treated honestly, tomato production increases dramatically.
We need this summer.
Summer has arrived. No one will forget what summer of 2020 was.
Take the time to enjoy the gift of life around us. Our God will see us through. Each day find the Blessing. Enjoy what God has given.
