James 1: 10,11
And those who are rich should boast
that God has humbled them.
They will fade away like a little flower in the field.
Berean Standard Bible
But the one who is rich
should exult in his low position,
because he will
pass away like a flower of the field.
King James Bible
But the rich, in that he is made low:
because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
11
For the sun rises with scorching heat
and withers the plant;
its flower falls and its beauty is lost.
So too, the rich man will fade away
in the midst
of his pursuits.…
And how were your pursuits today?
This week we had hail, the first time my 6 decades of life had seen, EVAH, golf ball hail. The hail was announced and was a dramatic splash in the pool. I called out and said so. I thought it was a huge, big Bird from the pond splashing in the pool. Instead, we had 30 minutes of hail. It looked like snow by the end.
Today, it started another storm and our Ginger Cat began to cry like a baby. He then crawled under a chest of drawers on legs. He was sure life had inflicted him with something very hurtful, he had been caught out in the hail storm. He is smart and calmed down rather quickly.
And then our pursuits led us to Seattle, we are 4/10's of a mile from the Federal Building. Saying, so we haven't seen any trouble at all. We have no need of another summer of Luff. I'd forgotten they tried in their Luff to burn the Portland Federal Building down with the Federal Workers inside. That's anything but Luff. No spiral will occur for the memories of 2025.
The one thing you can say about Post Pandemic Recovery, it's rarely dull. Maybe we should consider the photo to be popcorn instead of hail.
I'm going to borrow from Billy Graham about Post Pandemic Recovery. We have read from the last Chapter of the Bible and I believe we will turn out to be fine.
Why?
Why? We see across the world, more and more people believe the Power of Love, Jesus Christ, God brings us, is going to give us the faith and hope that the Higher Way, Truth of Life is the actual goal of meeting the challenges of our time.
We are following The Way.
Psalm 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy
shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
It's not our footprint, it's the path we want others to have, the goodness of God gives us in this life.
The huge, vast quantities of dark space in the entire universe and the blue and green planet we have with sunshine. The Gift of Life God gives us. I believe we are finding His Ways of and His Word is the light to walk in. Again. Remembering more relaxed and more enjoyment when days were more simple. I think we will arrive at these days again. The birth rate will rise, giving birth will be more affordable and people trust the future has a place for their dreams and families.
Sundays will be gratitude and worship. Not fervent prayer and wondering what happened. Gratitude instead of wondering if we blew through God's Plan. Gratitude. Joy. Love. Encouragement. Giving. The desire to give back. Because the Word of God is courageously followed.
Matthew 6:33
Seek first the kingdom of God and His Righteousness,
and all these things will be added to you.
Celebrating 1980 years of Matthew's Gospel. The truth Matthew lived watching and walking with Jesus in His Ministry.
Isaiah 40:31
But they who wait for the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up
with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.
Celebrating 2725 years of Isaiah's wondrous understanding of The Almighty and His Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 6:1
In the year that King Uzziah died,
I saw the Lord,
High and Exalted,
seated on a Throne;
and the Train of His Robe
filled
the Temple.
When God is exalted, we are raised with Him.
